Why is my running app not picking up phone GPS?

                          Two times this week, the running app on my phone has not picked up the GPS. I did a 13.1 mile run yesterday, with no GPS.

Also, sometimes the running app will not open. It goes to a screen that says "No internet connection."

I do not need internet to track my runs. This is getting frustrating. Does anyone know how to fix these items?
