"Magic keys" to force a reboot of a hung macOS system via root-level reboot command?

Have had some problems from time to time on macOS 12.x where it hangs indefinitely. I'm working with Apple engineers on a resolution, but I'd like to figure out how to set up a method to send the equivalent of a sudo reboot to the kernel via a crazy key combination so that when apps and everything hang for hours on end I can break out of the situation more safely than just holding in the power button. Anyone see such a trick that still works for macOS 12?
