Missing cursor in AppleScript code editor

I am using Automator to create a folder action. This action uses a run AppleScript action, therefore I have an AppleScript editor in the Automator window. Problem is, there is no cursor when editing the AppleScript code (I try to set the insertion point, often missing). Any suggestion? Thanks
