So I accidentally came across some news today saying that starting from iOS 18.1, Apple now lets you change your actual iCloud email address. I’m already on iOS 18.4 and somehow totally missed this.
Just to be clear—I’m not talking about creating an alias. I mean actually changing something like
uglyname123@icloud.com
into bettername@icloud.com
, and keeping the same Apple account. BTW, my Apple ID is my gmail account.
Is this a real thing now? Has anyone here tried it? Would love to know what the process is like and if there are any limits or risks.
