How can I view the content of a backup of the dconf database file?

I've taken a backup of the file where my dconf database is stored (~/.config/dconf/user which is a binary file), and now I need to move some keys from the backup to the dconf in use. How can I view the content of the backed up dconf without putting it "in place" and view it with for example `dconf-editor`?
