OS: Ubuntu 24.04
Kernel: 6.11.0-17-generic
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7700 8-Core Processor
I have a TP-Link TX20U plus that is able to detect my network after I have loaded it with the driver taken from https://github.com/lwfinger/rtl8852au . However, I am stuck in a loop in which NetworkManager just constantly prompts me for the WiFi password.
Trying to connect by using nmcli just gives me this vague message.
Error: Connection activation failed: Secrets were required, but not provided.
Here's the NetworkManager log https://pastebin.com/BBxXicEy , which shows that the adapter tried to establish connection but failed.
Since the adapter can detect the WiFi, I would think that it's unlikely an issue with the hardware nor the driver. Which makes me suspect that something is wrong with the wifi backend. By default, wpa-supplicant is used. Switching the backend to iwd did not fix the situation either https://pastebin.com/dJZa7mDG .
