Does anyone know how I can do this? We both have the same LG android phone. Or at least know where I can download it off the Internet. It's simply called "POP" and goes something like "Ch'pow" LOL. Thanks

Half of the times my phone's capacitive touchscreen works fine, but the other half it **registers multiple taps on a normal tap or on a long-press**. This malfunction happens much more often when the phone is operated while laying flat on the table (i.e. not hand-held). When a human body part, like the palm of a hand in a normal operation scenario, is resting firmly against the back of the device the problems usually goes away. I'd think this somehow has to do with the so called *"parasitic capacitive coupling problem"*. Is this something characteristic of capacitive touchscreens in general? Can it possible be fixed by tweaking some timing parameters in the touchscreen driver settings?

My wife got a new phone with a new service, so I get to have her old phone to play around with. Since the old phone no longer has cell phone service, I want to completely disable the cell phone or radio portion of the phone so that it doesn't eat up battery. This is a CDMA phone, so there's no SIM card I can just take out. Enabling Airplane mode works just fine, except that also turns of WIFI, which I have to manually turn on. And if I reboot, the phone stays in Airplane mode, but it turns WIFI back off. Is there a way to modify the phone to turn off the cell portion completely and permanently, at least to be able to withstand a reboot (not necessarily a factory reset)?

How do I connect LG P500 to Mac OS X Lion?

I've been given a nice LG-P500 phone for my 67th birthday. How the heck do I transfer music, photos and videos from the phone to my iMac OS X Lion, and vice versa? I can't access the mini-SD card, so I can't find the LG PC Suite IV which is referred to in the P500 "Simple Manual". In the "Important notice" pink pages bit, in section 9 I can get up to the first part of para. 4: I can turn on USB storage on the phone. The phone opens "Image Capture" when I connect it by USB to the iMac. There is nothing visible. And of course an .exe file is for Microsoft Windows, not Apple. Don't tell me I have to buy Parallels. And if the only way is sending stuff up into the clouds and retrieving it again, I'm not impressed. LG should surely have a way of doing it direct to Mac. After all, Mac OS isn't exactly new! So, two requests: - Where can I download a Mac Lion version of LG PC Suite? - Where can I download a "Full Manual"? The "Simple Manual" - which you can download from all over the place - says "you can do stuff" but not, unfortunately, "this is how you do stuff." Not much use.

I had to do **factory reset** to the phone for deleting some files, after which I am **unable to open any of the applications, not even browser and play store.** I installed **Dolphin browser**, which is **also getting crashed** in 1 min itself. Now I decided to re-install the OS. All zip files required for installation are with me, but I don't know **how to install Cyanogenmod OS** .

I bought an LG Optimus One phone a long time ago. The phone came with a USB 2.0 cable + wall adapter. 3 months ago, I bought a Galaxy Note 3. The phone came with a USB 3.0 cable + wall adapter. The wall adapter stopped working, however the 3.0 cable still works. (When I connect my Note 3 to the computer using the 3.0 cable, it works. But when I try charging my Note 3 using a wall outlet, it doesn't work). My question is: Since the wall adapter which came with my Note 3 stopped working but the 3.0 cable still works, is it okay if I charge my Note 3 with the USB 3.0 cable while the 3.0 cable is plugged into the wall adapter which my LG Optimus One came with? Note: I didn't try it yet because I was afraid it might ruin the 3.0 cable.

I have a LG Optimus One (P500). For sometime I am wondering why my phone's battery has four terminals. I am aware that two terminals are for the positive and negative points and the the third connects to the battery's internal thermistor to monitor its temperature. Still that leaves me puzzled with what the fourth terminal could be for? Interestingly my phone has only three terminal where as the battery has four. I have searched for answers in Google but no useful results other than description about temperature monitoring comes up. Also since another doubt also lies in the same image, what is the port that is marked as "A" in the following image? It appears to me as some sort connector and my guess is that it is a connector to a cable with which manufacturers can access something deep in hardware. The Nokia phones which I had also had this feature and I guess this should be common for all phone then. Connectors **Update:** I am more keen on knowing what the fourth terminal on the battery does rather than why there are three in phone and four in battery. As @Axeman said, this battery could be used in other phones (of LG) as well.

Distinguishing between placed received and non-received calls

On my Android phone, under the list of all phone calls, there are several distinct icons to distinguish between: - outgoing calls (a green arrow pointing away from the phone) - missed calls (a red arrow bouncing off the phone) - received calls (a blue arrow pointing into the phone) However, the user interface does not distinguish between placed calls which were answered on the other end and calls which were not answered on the other end. Does anyone have a user interface which distinguishes between these two scenarios or does anyone know of an upgrade I may perform in the user interface (perhaps even by going as far as installing CyanogenMod) so as to account for this difference in the user interface? I am running Android 2.3.4 (GingerBread) on an LG Optimus Net P690.

I just managed to prevent my LG P500h android phone from booting by uninstalling the home screen. I'm not a very smart man. Now, my phone can only get to the android logo, and is totally unusable. How do I reset the phone back to the way it was before? I've tried going into recovery mode, but I don't know how to select any of the options. All the guides that I've found said to use the "camera button", but my device doesn't have one! Help is much appreciated at this point.

I have a rooted LG P500 running stock 2.3.3 with kernel 2.6.35.10. I would like to use USB OTG features and connect a flash drive to my phone. I have a USB OTG cable that I use with my Nexus 7. The same cable and same flash drive doesn't work with my phone. I have tried to install StickMount , but unfortunately it is not compatible with my phone and so is the USB Host diagnostics - however, their database clearly says P500 does not support USB. Other than going the route of custom ROM, can some thing be done for enabling USB OTG like patching kernels etc? I am not sure even the previous statement is valid, but just thought of asking as in the database under "Rooted API Claims support" column, the value for LGP500 is said as Yes. And, I checked this XDA thread, which also says that the chipset MSM7227 which my phone uses has limited OTG capabilities. Also that thread's title says Update: Working now, but I couldn't find anything relevant within its posts. All these just gives me a faint hope. Update: My phone's has three files libra.ko, librasdioif.ko, wireless.ko in /system/lib/modules

I have an LG optimus s that I got about a year ago, new. I'm running 2.3.3. Gingerbread. Details : app icons often reappear in folders after reboot, sometimes without reboot. I'll say again, for clarity, that this only happens when I attempt to rearrange the icons : no spontaneous disappearances! I use my phone almost 24/7, as I do not own a tablet or a computer with wifi, so I like everything to be in it's place.

I had recently purchased new LG Optimus L90 (model D415, Android 4.2.2, default OEM set up, Optimus UI) to replace old Optimus T (Optimus One, P509, 2.2). I had used SMS Backup+ to move my messages, call logs etc. I had successfully used it before when I did factory reset on the old mobile. When I installed SMS Backup+ on the new phone, it did copy call logs, and it seemed to copy messages as well, because when I would tap the message icon for the first few times, it would flash old messages for a fraction of a second, but then would only display the new ones. I tried reboot the phone, and checked the settings, but nothing helped. Is there a way to make this work, or should I try another app? Update: I had tried restoring the messages again today, and when I check the list while SMS Backup+ is running I can see it populating with contacts that I had exchanged messages with. But if I click on any of them there are no messages inside, and so the app thinks of those as deleted and clears them upon list refresh.
