How to restore notification number badges on app icons on Samsung devices?
My Samsung Galaxy S22 stopped showing a number in the upper-left corner of the messages app when a new text message has arrived. I think these numbers have been called badges. Is there a way to restore the number notification? Have they been eliminated for another method of notifications?

Keep showing unread mail notification in Gmail

Apparently, I'm one of the few people who use his mailbox as a to-do list, but since I got a new phone with Android 11, I lose my icon badge as soon as I clear the notification.
In the past, I could mark an email as unread, and then it would show an icon badge with how many unread emails I had. That way I could read as email and keep it unread as a to-do list. Marking another mail as unread would add a 1 to the icon.
Is there a setting I'm missing which would allow this? The only thing I find is people saying they get a notification even though they don't have mail.

> Device : _Redmi Note 11_ (_MIUI 13.0.10.0_ with _Android 11_) using the default launcher
**Problem:** Whenever a notification gets dismissed (even without opening it) the badge counter attached to the respective app disappears.
The badge counter will remain visible on the app icon as long as the notification is not dismissed from the notification area.
**Expected behaviour:** This is a common behaviour to keep the badge counter visible on the respective app if there are any unread notifications, but this is not happening.
**Question:** Is this a bug? Is there a way to keep the badge counter visible on the app even after dismissing the notification from the notification area?

I've seen this asked in the past for older phones, but couldn't find any useful answers.
Can this be solved with a 3rd party app?

How to remove the persistent 'Mobile data turned off' message on Android 7.0?

When I turn cell data off on a Samsung Android 7.0 non-rooted phone, the
Phone
app always displays a notification that data is turned off. This results in 2 issues:
1. The notification area gets cluttered with too many notifications.
2. The Phone
**app icon notification badge** in the launcher always shows at least 1 notification. This is an issue because it is supposed to indicate how many phone calls have been missed. Sometimes the device has cell data turned off, and sometimes it has it turned on; thus, there is no consistency with the meaning of that important icon's notification badge.
The notification is persistent, and cannot simply be swiped away.
Is there a way to resolve these issues that are caused by the persistent unwanted 'Mobile data turned off' notification?
