I have a OnePlus 6, running LineageOS 22.1 (Android 15). In December when I still was on LOS 21 (Android 14), out of nowhere my phone's camera & torch have stopped working. It just shows "Camera in use" message under the Torch button in the notification area, the LOS camera app just closes itself, or other apps display "can't open camera". I've revoked camera permissions to see if anything is using it, but no change. Initially after a few reboots the torch was working, but later on even that stopped working & after many reboots & upgrades I can't get that back to work either. LOS support said to flash back the original OxygenOS, but I don't want to do that, as it will log me out of loads of apps which don't survive TWRP/OrangeFox restore. So what I'm looking for is a way of confirming that the camera is physically broken, so to see I'd need to try to replace it (if possible, didn't look at it), or there's some software issue only (I don't want to open the phone if not necessary). Does anyone know a way to do that, eg. from a recovery/fastboot boot/ADB or anything else? Or is there a possibility to boot to OxygenOS without flashing it in? Thank you

I'm using a OnePlus 6 (Magisk; systemless Xposed, stock ROM at Android 8.1.0). One of the features that constantly irritates me is the accidental dialing of emergency number. The system by-default looks for triple power button tap and automatically dials Emergency number (112). I read on XDA [here](https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=74343593&postcount=5) that this is a feature specific to India and Indian SIMs, and I also bought this in India and use an Indian SIM. Other regional users, per some threads of OnePlus subreddit and OnePlus forums, do not have this problem and can customize the shortcut from Camera app or under Settings app, while I cannot. I found [this YouTube video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m2AT5MFjI3k) but the recommended solution does not work because the Emergency Info app in my system doesn't have the activity used in the video. That app only has these two activities which only leads to editing Emergency specific user details: .view.ViewInfoActivity .edit.EditInfoActivity How do I change this behavior? I'm looking to prevent emergency number dial on triple power button tap, and if possible, customization of that double power button tap to Camera launch. Furthermore, if possible, please provide a non-root based solution.

Google Assistant crashes the moment I open the app. Due to this. I'm unable to invoke my Assistant even though having setup all it's settings such as turning it On, setting up 'Hey Google' and training the voice recognition model. Similarly, The Google App crashes the moment I try voice search.(Open 'Google' App, click on the 'Mic' icon on the search bar for voice input to search.) I tried few fixes after searching online and troubleshooting guides from google, but nothing seemed to work even after enabling all the options mentioned in those guides. I need this community's help in figuring out what's causing this and fixing it. Can anyone help me on this please? Phone: Oneplus 6. (I've used google assistant a couple of years ago, but never used in the past 2+ yrs. Now that I've got a few smart devices, I want to use it again.) OS: Oxygen OS 9.0.9 Edit: I have tried a fix that I found online, which was clearing the data of 'Google' app and restarting the phone. But the situation ended up being worse than before. Now, when I go to the 'Hey Google & Voice Match' setting, I see 'An Error has occurred. Please try again later.'(Attached an image below). Error at 'Hey Google' settings. Cheers!

OnePlus offers Zen Mode app for its devices as a system app. It functions more like an app in kiosk mode and gives you access only to one of its activities, the dialer app for emergency calls, and the camera app. The user cannot access anything else. Works fine. Except that it also means the user is locked out of their device (which the user explicitly agrees to when using the app every single time) for X duration which the user had set in Zen Mode app. Once in a while I feel the need to immediately access my phone because the objective I have in mind cannot be achieved without the phone. At that point Zen Mode comes in my way because I can't do anything with my phone except stare, *in despair*, at its countdown to finish. Here are a couple of things I tried with no success when Zen Mode was active: * disabled Zen mode app using adb. * hid (pm hide) Zen mode app using adb * rebooted the device using adb * force stopped Zen Mode app using adb If Zen Mode app is disabled or killed or hid when its timer is active, then irrespective of a reboot all I see is the launcher app with status bar hidden. If I try to open any app using my launcher or using adb, it doesn't show anything on the screen at all. It doesn't show any error either. When I re-enable Zen Mode and when the active timer expires then after exiting Zen Mode app I can see all those apps in the Recents View that I had tried to access when Zen Mode was disabled/hid/force-stopped. I am looking for a way to turn off active Zen Mode in my rooted OnePlus 6 running OxygenOS (v10.3.11) / Android 10. **How do I do that?**

I'm an Android enthusiast, as most of you, and I installed Lineage OS on my Oneplus 6 two months ago. Everything works fine but not Wi-Fi that randomly disconnects from my router. In the end of the day the connection is unusable, disconnecting and recovering every 30 seconds. The Wi-Fi only stabilizes after a reboot. I have already discarded router and internet connection issues because other devices (including other non-lineage Android devices) works perfectly while I am suffering. I'm looking for a way to diagnose and solve this issue. What are your recommendations? I would appreciate every tip! Thanks! Environment information: - Oneplus 6 A6003 (enchilada) - Lineage 18.1 (Android 11 - 20210921-nightly-enchilada) - Router: Google Wi-Fi - Country: Brazil (not spanish, portuguese!) - other possible linked issues: bluetooth works fine with my headset, but has a similar issue on my car (only audio Android Auto on Ford media center)

I updated my OnePlus 6 to Android 10 (OxygenOS 10.3.2) recently and having a hard time to use it because of the horizontal overview navigation introduced from Android 9. I am in want of replacing horizontal overview/recent apps navigation with vertical one (as was available till Android 8). In Android 9, the trick for my stock ROM was to replace OnePlus launcher with an older version from Android 8 build. However, this trick doesn't work on Android 10 anymore. Neither does disabling or removing the stock OnePlus launcher. It just disables Overview functionality at my face than. I primarily use Nova launcher. I have tried to use one or two other launchers from Play Store in the hope that they might bring vertical overview on the table, but all at vain. So, how do I bring back vertical overview in Android 10 in OnePlus 6? Note 1: I am only looking for answers as solutions that does the job I am asking for. Nothing else. Note 2: the device is rooted with Magisk.

# How to install TWRP after Magisk? I have a OnePlus 6 running Oxygen OS 9.0 and I managed to install Magisk by obtaining the stock boot image and using the magisk manager app to patch it to include magisk, then I flashed the patched boot.img using fastboot and ADB. The reason I did it this way is that every time I tried to boot with twrp.img in order to flash twrp.zip, I would run into a screen saying Qualcomm CrashDump Mode and TWRP wouldn't boot. Now I want to install TWRP and I was wondering if there is any way of doing it by using Magisk, so I wouldn't have to boot twrp.img. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've rooted my OnePlus 6 yesterday. To do so, I followed this guide: Root Your OnePlus 6 with Magisk — A Beginner's Guide TWRP version: 3.5.1_9-0 Magisk version: 22.0 I also installed the Magisk app on my phone Now I've edited my hosts-file (needed to change some permissions to be able to modify this file ) to block some sites. I've restarted the phone once successfully, but now the phone will not boot anymore. When I power on, I see the OnePlus logo very briefly and then it gets stuck on the "bootloader is unlocked" warning for a long time. It then goes on into fastboot mode. If i press start from there, the process repeats. If I press recovery mode I still get into TWRP, but rebooting from there also repeats the process and does not boot up my phone successfully. I'm not sure, but I don't think editing the hosts file is what caused this? Shouldn't I be able to edit this file without bricking my device? Any help on what happened and how I can fix this bootloop without wiping/reinstalling my entire device would be greatly appreciated; I don't want to lose all my settings =).

However, I cannot find the alarm app which generate this wake-up alarm. I have checked the recent app, there is no app running recently at around 08:30. I search my app with the keyword alarm, I found 2 app. I am sure that I does not set the wake up time in these 2 app at 08:30. Actually, I set the wake-up time to 07:10 for one of the 2 app. So, I feel quite strange. Where is the 08:30 wake-up time set ? Is my mobile hacked ? Can anyone help me to find out why there is an alarm at about 08:30 am ?

I've got the Oneplus 6 with unofficial mod (OmniRom Treskmod) installed on it. The issue is that the mod probably uses its own setup programme, and the accessibility gesture is partially broken. Holding two fingers in the middle of the screen starts the accessibility mode, however, it enables only some particular sounds such as those heard when locking the screen, but TalkBack doesn't start speaking then. In earlier versions of Android there was a possibility to enable TalkBack through [tag:adb] by editing Settings.db but I guess something has been changed since then and the method is useless now. Do any of you knows the way of enabling speech through adb in the latest Android version (Pie)? What I want to achieve is to have it talking right after reboot. Of course, I know I could ask sighted person but I'd like to know if there's any solution to do it on my own. I faced similar issue with Lineage as well.
