How do I keep speech-to-text active in Gboard even during silences?
I often use Gboard's speech-to-text to do voice typing. However, every time I pause speaking for a few seconds, I have to reactivate this feature by clicking the microphone on the keyboard. How do I keep it active for longer?

I can make it do punctuation like commas and periods however I cannot make it do a new line or carriage return. There seems to be posts about very old Android versions showing that this may have been possible. is this still possible please?

Why does Google Voice Typing transcribe certain words incorrectly, and not offer alternatives?

There are a few words that I use in everyday conversation that Google Voice Typing doesn't seem to want to recognize. The first is "extraordinarily." It always transcribed "extraordinary Lee." The other two words (in censored format, since I imagine vulgarities are kinda frowned on in the forums) are the s-word with the suffix "ty" appended, and the mf-word. The former is always transcribed with only one T. The latter is spelled without the C. I swear a great deal. It's how I talk. I'm also a stickler for proper spelling and punctuation, so it bothers me that Google spells cusswords like a fourth grader, in addition to the other typo. Also, recently it seems that all the options for corrections have disappeared--every time I dictate something, there are NO words underlined at the end. What gives? Anybody got any input on this?

Has anyone else noticed when voice searching with Google Assistant it'll sometimes change your query slightly but to a question you didn't ask? This is not a simple case of mis-hearing spoken words; Google is trying to be smarter than me by changing my search query to idiot-proof it. One example of many I've experienced: - Asked google: "How to disable 'Application X' from starting with MacOS Boot" - Search field populated with and results showing for: "'Application X' will not start." Not what I asked, and this happens frequently. Is this a preference, is there any way to turn this off? Any thoughts appreciated.
