I have an iMac ( 2017 ) running Catalina 10.15. A year and half ago when I was running Mojave I purchased Adobe photoshop Elements 2019 directly from Adobe . The program was very glitchy but did function after a fashion. When I upgraded to Catalina, Elements got even worse and the only solution Adobe wanted to offer was to get me to pay more money and then to continue to do so. When I bought Elements 2019 it was not available in the App store and now it is. My question is this: is the ability to design and print the multipage wall calendars that are part of the Adobe purchased app, still available in the App store version?

I’m working through the 2021 release of *Adobe Photoshop Classroom in a Book* for my digital imaging class. One of the lessons is on the Mixer Brush tool. I decided to connect my Mac to my iPad Pro using Sidecar so that I could use my Apple Pencil (I find it easier to use than my mouse for these types of tasks). It worked fine at first, but eventually I ran into an issue where my brush strokes looked nothing like what the textbook showed. I tried switching to my mouse, and it solved the issue. As far as I can tell, the input device is the only difference; the settings should be the same. I’ve included screenshots showing the results I’m getting and my brush settings. In case it helps, I’ve also added a couple of pictures of the relevant page in the textbook. Also, my Apple Pencil is the 2nd generation version. Can anyone tell me why I’m getting different results with the Apple Pencil? And how can I can fix it so that the brush strokes look the same as with the mouse? Thanks! *screenshot showing brush strokes:* brush strokes *screenshots showing Brush Settings panel:* Brush Settings panel *pictures of relevant textbook page:* relevant textbook page [Note: I wasn’t sure if this is the correct place to post this question, so apologies if it is!]

I installed Adobe Photoshop Elements 2023, which annoyingly comes with a load of useless crud I do not want, but seems so interconnected I cannot just remove it. One of this useless (to me) pieces of software is Adobe Elements 2023 Organizer, which seems to run some sort of useless 'auto creation' (of what?!?) in the background. I ticked all the boxes in the damn app preferences to stop it from doing so, but it still does. I also disabled Adobe from running automatically in the System Setting to no avail. So the questions: 1) can I altogether remove Adobe Elements 2023 Organizer without stopping Photoshop Elements from working? 2) if no, can I at least totally disable Auto Creations from running in the background? I am on Ventura, on a M1.

When I'm trying this on the Mac with pictures from a DSLR manually with Photoshop the results are usually not as good as what these apps achieve. Therefore I'm looking for either a Mac app or instructions for Photoshop on how to achieve this. Or maybe even an Automator script. Just to be clear: I do not need OCR!

For the longest time I've endured a bug with Quick View and PSD files which I really want to quash. The preview of PSD files in Quick Look is broken. I hit the spacebar and hey presto: the most recent saved selection / channel in the Photoshop file is cast in grey, and thus much if not all of the preview is ... a grey block, or whatever happens to be the outline within Photoshop. This has afflicted many operating systems, going back at least 6-7 years: currently latest macOS Ventura. Different laptops likewise (currently MacBook Air 2021). And likewise many versions of Photoshop (full, deep wipe reinstallations along the way, including betas, and now the latest version). And finally, lots of different cameras, lots of different sizes of files, colour profiles, etc. etc. I tried deleting Quick View caches, and a few other similar solutions over the years. And within Photoshop, making the saved preview "compatible" or not. The only fix is the PSB Quick Look plugin (https://johnrellis.com/photoshop/psbquicklook.htm#uninstall) which is great: I have installed now but would prefer to get to the root of the problem. Any suggestions?

I know there is an Creative Cloud Uninstaller but it is 32-bit so won't run on Catalina. I've downloaded the most recent but after running it quits with errors (and doesn't seem to do a thing). Is there a list of every CC file that Adobe spewed throughout my filesystem so I can delete them manually?

I am trying to increase the brightness of some SDR photographs so that they can fully utilise the brightness of "XDR" displays on apple devices to display a bright image (For example, screens on some apple devices can reach 1600 nits peak brightness for showing HDR contents). In gimp, after importing an image, I set the "Image -> Precision" to "32 bit floating point", and "linear light". Then I increase the brightness. While it does look brighter, I am not sure how can I make sure I get the 1600 nits (or at least, say, 1000 nits). When I export the picture to .hdr format, and look at them in the Preview app, the colours looks completely different from what I see when I am editing in Gimp. **What should I do to (1) use the full brightness of the displays and (2) get consistent result when I am editing and after I export?** If it is not possible with gimp, please feel free to tell me what other software should I use (for example photoshop?). I think this should not be difficult, because there are plenty of tutorials online about how to do this for **videos**. But when I try to search for how to edit **photos**, I do not get an answer. **It would be helpful if there is a link to a tutorial on making HDR photos.** **Note:** by "HDR photographs", I mean image formats that could be viewed with more than, for example, 1000 nits of brightness, and extremely high contrast, on supported monitors, **just like HDR videos**. I am **NOT** discussing the technique of taking multiple photos of the same scene and combine them into one.

How to make Adobe Photoshop automatically save to Photos Library?
On my MacBook Pro 2015 running macOS Monterey, I'd like to be able to set Adobe Photoshop to automatically save to my Photos.app library as the default location. I'd also like to be able to save to a device folder if desired. Is there a way to do this on Mac?

This could be a general problem, but I couldn't find my exact issue and no solution so far. I have an iMac 5k 27" 2019, 3GHz i5, 40GB RAM, Radeon 570X, macOS Monterey Version 12.3.1 In the last two weeks I have experienced this problem multiple times. Out of nowhere my Mac freezes, no input or anything possible. Screen stays as it is. Then after some minutes it turns black and is immediately at the login. When I login again it looks like it restarted because everything is closed and my start up apps open up. Although it doesn't feel like a restart, because the process between blackscreen and login screen is too fast. I have no error code or notification from macOS. I'm not 100% sure but if I remember correctly this always happened when I had lots of stuff open (a lot of chrome tabs, Visual Studio Code, Spotify, Outlook, Project Management Software, Calendar, Photoshop). So far Photoshop was open every time this happened. I haven't used it a lot in the past month and every time it was open the crash happened. Photoshop is on the latest version. Any ideas what could cause this? I just wanted to do a restart and closed all apps, then I found a log behind all screens (that didn't show up directly after the restart so I overlooked it). I'm also not sure if this is the correct log, yesterday happened a crash. But the log seems like it's from 27.04 and I'm not sure if I had a crash there. Maybe this helps, I hope there is no sensitive data in it, I couldn't find any.

It's not the full log, I can only paste 30.000 characters. Any better way to share the log? Pastebin? Thanks @Tetsujin for your answer, unfortunately I don't have a drawing mode option in my performance settings of Photoshop. Photoshop Settings I only have one bootvolume but store files and everything on a NAS. It still has over 300GB free.
Photoshop can currently access 70% RAM (25GB), I try to reduce this. Thanks!

I am trying to run Photoshop CS5.1 (from the Adobe CS 5.5 Web Premium suite) in MacOS 10.14 Mojave using Parallels. The host machine is a 15" MacBook Pro late 2013 with a 2GB nVidia GT750M GPU and running Catalina. However, when I try to run the program it briefly flashes the splash screen then I get an error saying it quit unexpectedly. Numerous people have reported CS 5.5 mostly working fine on Mojave when installing from scratch, and I have already followed some documented steps to make it work: - Installed legacy Java runtime - Gone to system security settings and allowed app to control computer and have full disk access I also noticed that Dreamweaver works to an extent and this is probably due to it not being so reliant on hardware acceleration I already contacted Parallels support by email and their suggestion was to increase CPU and RAM allocation, but the VM already has 2 CPU cores and 4GB assigned. I could maybe try using an older OS for the VM but I don’t want to risk wasting a load of time without knowing if it will work any better. If anyone has encountered similar problem and found a workaround please let me know

I've noticed when assigning file names during a "Save As" in Monterey, the text I type gets put in the wrong place. For example, if I am trying to save the file as img**.png**, I instead get i**.png**mg This means I need to start over naming the file, or select and correct both the beginning and end. Are others experiencing this too, and *is there a way to fix it?* (In addition to this, the Save As dialog window often appears in the bottom left of the screen, and is partially occluded. I have to drag it back to the center before doing anything. But the renaming bug is the bigger nuisance.)

How to trim many files using adobe photoshop
I have 300 png files. I want to trim each of them. But for this I need open each file and make changes (even if I make script for trimming and save it will be long to open each file and do trimming). Is there already made solution or some advice how to do it better and quickly. Thanks in advance.

Adobe products have always been the bane of my Mac existence , and lately they seem to have gotten even worse (notably running multiple processes in the background constantly accessing my keychain and connecting to the internet without being explicitly launched). As near as I can tell there is no way to avoid this, so I need a good alternative app. A paid app is fine. As close as possible to Photoshp's feature set would be nice, but I do not do professional image work, but mostly basic web design elements and tweaking of photos.

How do I stop "node" asking for my iCloud keychain password (for Adobe Creative Cloud)? enter image description here My goals are 1. never to see this dialog again, 2. to continue using Photoshop. If I can't accomplish 1 then I'm just going to give up on 2 and find a replacement product (suggestions welcome). I've tired everything listed in the answers available here from Adobe's support site and here on AD, but none work. Some used to for PS 2020, but no longer for PS 2021 (which is why I suspect this is a new question requiring an updated answer). Most recently, I contacted Adobe support chat, where I was instructed to use sdfsdf to remove Creative Cloud and was assured that though I (incredibly) would need to reinstall CC in order to update Photoshop, I could at least for the time being still use Photoshop. But this is not true. After following Adobe support's instructions to remove CC, attempting to launch Photoshop results in: enter image description here In case you think perhaps reinstalling PS might fix that, stop yourself: doing that installs CC as well, and I’m right back where I started from (minus all the lost time).

Note the "confirm" button is focused so I can quickly press return and be on my way. pshop But, on Big Sur a new system dialog has arrived that, again, asks me to confirm I wish to overwrite a file. Unlike the Adobe dialog this one *does not* default to confirm so I need to actually move the mouse to click on the button for this one (in addition to the old one). As a web developer I save over files hundreds of times a day so this has quickly started to annoy. big sur trying to hard My question is how to turn this system dialog off. I can understand being presented with the question once, but the Adobe one makes the workflow so much easier.
