Can any proper iPhone stand work both for standby mode, and macOS continuity camera?
I'm looking at purchasing a stand (not any in particular) for my iPhone to use for standby mode as an alarm clock, but ideally it could also be used for continuity camera (hypothetically it can be raised to position my phone above the macbook screen).

My iPhone 7 iOS 15.7 can see when my MacBook 15 macOS Monterey has bluetooth/wifi turned on, and a page open in Safari, because only in that situation does the "open ... from MacBook" appear at the bottom of the app selector. However, after clicking it, Safari opens and a blue loading bar appears in the address bar, but the contents of the address bar are never filled and the blue loading bar never progresses. I've tried basic things like turning on and off wifi and bluetooth on both devices and restarting both devices. I've been having this issue for a long time. What could be causing it? How might I be able to fix it?

Hand-off is ON in both devices. After it refused to work twice in the past fifteen minutes, I started this post.  But now it's working again. **What, with no settings changes, could make Hand-Off not work for about 24 hours without affecting other iCloud functions?**

Here's a new one on me.... - MacBookAir, M1, OS15.1.1 (Sequoia) - 2019 MacPro, Intel, OS15.1.1 (Sequoia) The two systems are **not** directly connected, although they are both on the same wifi network, using the same Apple ID, and about 4 feet apart. Using the trackpad on the MBA, the cursor will *span* to the monitor on the 2019 MacPro. Note: *not* as an "external monitor" on the MBA, but as a **direct controller** of the MacPro. I can move the MBA's trackpad cursor to the MacPro screen and click, drag, etc on the MacPro, altering the MacPro. If the MBA's cursor is on the screen of the MacPro, then the MBA's keyboard also alters the MacPro directly. Anyone know what's going on?? Screen sharing, Remote LogIn, etc. is all off on both systems. File sharing is the only thing enabled on the systems.

Essentially, I'm looking for a feature similar to the Continuity feature that lets me copy and paste from all of my own devices but for devices that are not logged in into the same iCloud account. When working together on a project with someone else side by side, it would be super helpful if there was a way to quickly share something, be it a paragraph of text, an image, or a slide in Keynote, without having to save it to a file and then Airdrop the file to the other person. Is there any way to copy/paste from one device to another where the two devices are not logged in to the same iCloud account?

I use Apple hardware for me personally, and for work. I used to use my single personal Apple ID for everything, but then managed device restrictions like disallowing Time Machine floated down to my personal hardware, disabling it. I could re-enable it, until the management sync happened again. Ever since then, I now run purely personal devices on my personal Apple ID, and I create a separate Apple ID for my work devices. Also these Apple IDs are linked as a Family, for what it's worth. iPhone Mirroring just came out in iOS 18 + Sequoia, and I would LOVE to take advantage of it on my work machine, with my personal iPhone. However, Handoff only works using the same Apple ID. Is there a way, via direct connection, some sort of under the hood setting, something, to allow me to call up my personal iPhone on my work computer? My current employer does use an Apple MDM, though they only have licenses for macOS machines. I've been speaking to them to see if I can add an MDM profile for the work account/Apple ID on my personal phone. Would this be enough? Would it limit me to data managed by the work profile? Or would it not work at all because it isn't the "system" (root most) Apple ID? Is there a reverse method? A way to add my personal Apple ID on my work machine? I do not want to set up a second macOS user account on this machine and fast user switch, the point is to have the two Apple ID contents together as seamlessly as possible. … if possible.

I work with a M2 Macbook Pro and iPad Air (4th Gen). Until a week ago, I regularly used my iPad as an extended display using SideCar (Continuity). Worked charmingly, including with Apple Pencil. Recently updated to Mac OS 14.4, and Apple Pencil no longer reacts to the desktop display on the iPad, but works with the SideBar and TouchBar. Finger tap on the display has no response either, but scrolling using two fingers works fine. Essentially, I am reduced to interacting with my iPad using my Mouse and Keyboard. Any hints on how to resolve this?

Any time I get a call on my iPhone while I'm connected to Wi-Fi, the VPN connection drops as soon as I answer the call. While my iPhone is ringing, I see a notification on my MBP for the call. I am not interacting with this Continuity notification. I am answering the call on my iPhone. The VPN connection stays up while the phone is ringing, it's not until I answer it that it drops. This doesnt happen if I have Wi-Fi disabled on my iPhone. Any ideas on what could be causing this? I'm running macOS 14.2 and iOS 17.2 but this has been happening for months on prior OS versions.

How can I tell if my iPhone is accessible for Continuity Camera?
I've recently updated my Intel Retina iMac to Ventura. My iPhone has continuity camera turned on. Is the only way to see if it's detected by the Mac to try and make a video call and see if the camera is listed? Or can I look in my Mac settings somewhere to see it is detected in advance?

Does iPhone play music on the HomePod via WiFi or Bluetooth?
I’m wondering if asking the HomePod directly to play a stream produces better sound than the same stream in an app on the iPhone playing through near-field handoff to that HomePod? Bluetooth would be a constraining factor in limiting the sound quality.
