I listen to my own foreign language-study MP3s on my phone, by importing them into Notes.app notes. I find that Apple tries to auto-transcribe the audio, as though it contained lyrics. Since the audio is a combination of Japanese and English, the results are a mess. - **Question**: I would like to turn off this auto-transcription function, but I don't see a way to do so. It is a waste of computer resources, and doubles the height of each affect MP3-object in the note. Any ideas?

Can I add lyrics to songs and have them synced with the song?

As of now, I can just copy paste raw lyrics, which won't sync with the song! Edit: I'm on Windows 10 Pro, Version 2004, Build 19541. iTunes is the iTunes64Setup.exe file install, not the Microsoft Store version, version: 12.10.3.1 I've seen other answers , and tried what they suggested, which worked, but it's not exactly what I'm looking for. See, what I could do right now is, go to a specific song in my song Library, right click it and go to Song Info, then Lyrics, and add Custom Lyrics. This works, and I'm able to view those static, unsynchronized lyrics on my iPhone. But I wanna see if I can go a step further, **adding *synchronized* lyrics**, see how in some services, Apple Music maybe, or Spotify, the lyrics will auto scroll, or slide to the next line/verse as the song goes on. Similar to how Subtitles work in movies. So is this something that could be done? Either using iTunes or any other software!

I would like to have iTunes display the lyrics while playing and auto-scroll to synchronize with the audio. I am willing to add ID3 tags or XML or some other such thing to lyrics to support the sync, but I am not aware of a format/syntax to do so. “Cover Version ” will display the lyrics (and any embedded codes) but no auto-scroll (and it is unsupported since Yosemite and iTunes 12.6.1) Get Lyrical and LessLyrics sound useful, but I would really like to do it in a visualizer in iTunes on both iPad and MacOS. And neither (nor "Get Lyrica") is in the app store. As I was typing this, a couple of possible duplicates appeared in the "similar questions" list, but just as I was about to click one, both links disappeared!

I'm looking to create a smart playlist on Apple Music that automatically creates a playlist or finds all of the songs in my library without lyrics. Is there a way to filter songs that Apple Music hasn't assigned lyrics to yet? My initial idea was to curate this list and then manually sift through to weed out tracks that simply lack assigned lyrics but aren't truly instrumental. I'm aware there are scripts for songs with custom lyrics, but I haven't added custom lyrics or descriptions to any of my tracks. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

There are loads of iOS apps for song lyrics, but it seems that they all make me play music in THAT app if I want to see the lyrics. But almost any iOS music app lets me see the artist and song title in Control Center/Lock Screen. So why can't there be an app that just looks at that info and automatically searches the web for the lyrics using the given artist and title? There are of course several open lyrics search engines on the web usable via API. 1. Is there an app that does this? 2. If not, is it technically possible in iOS for an app to read the currently playing artist and title?

Mini Lyrics Alternative For Mac
Have you guys seen the "mini lyrics" app for windows? It downloads the lyrics of the currently playing song and displays it on the screen. The great thing about it is that it highlights the current part of the lyrics. Do you know any alternative of it for mac?

To be worth considering, the alternative I'm looking for _must have_ at least these three features: - Automatic lyrics download and saving in the ID3 tag; - Automatic cover download (iTunes is confused when the album title is missing); - Display cover/title/artist on the desktop. Any suggestions?

I want a third-party application which will show me the lyrics I've entered in my songs' metadata, preferably without a dock icon. Either a pop-up of some sort or displaying them on the desktop would be acceptable. I've tried Get Lyrical, but I don't want something that will search for lyrics automatically. I can't use Cover Version, as it purportedly doesn't work on Lion. LessLyrics/LessDJ doesn't quite fit my needs, as I'd rather have something a bit less visible. Another possibility, and just as acceptable, is if there are individual files stored with the lyrics of the currently playing track. That's unlikely, but please let me know if it's the case.

I bought a CD, ripped it and copied it to my iPod Touch. Then I found the lyrics on the internet, confirmed that they're the same as in the album booklet, and pasted them into the lyrics section in iTunes. Everything's great, except for one track. It's a collaboration, and in the lyrics, before each section, it says who's doing that part by putting their name in ``. For one artist, it looked fine, but for the other, the line was blank! What gives? And what workaround is there to make both artists names appear?
