I am using a MacBook Pro 13-inch 2018 running macOS Sequoia 15.4. I would like to access the local files of the Signal Messanger App, which are – according to the support website – located at ~/Library/Application Support/Signal. However, when navigating to ~/Library/Application Support, there simply is no Folder called Signal. As far as I am aware, this folder should not be hidden, so I should be able to see it normally in the file browser. Does anyone know why this folder does not exist?

All of them sounds exact same 4 "buff" like sounds consecutively. It reminds me of the way old mobile phones affected the speakers around them. Is there anyone knows why it happens and how to prevent it? It annoys me and I really need a solution.

Spam message requests in Signal, how to block them?
Over the last couple of weeks, I have started receiving obvious spam/fishing message requests in Signal on my iPhone from random phone numbers. I have looked through the app settings and on the web site, but can't see any sort of option to block this. Any ideas?

I have an unlocked iPhone 7 on T-Mobile, model A1660 on IOS 14.0.1. I'm trying to find the cell signal strength by running the field test as described here . From my reading, rsrp0 is the best option to get a realistic idea of the true cell signal strength. However when I click on the Serving Cell Measurements, instead of seeing a # of fields like "rsrp1", "rsrp0", etc, I get the below. **Would one of these fields (Measured RSRP perhaps?) provide equivalent information to rsrp0?** Serving Cell Measurements

Add vibration to incoming Signal messages (iOS)
Similarly to incoming iMessages I want vibrations on incoming Signal (https://signal.org/) messages. Is this doable as of now?

However, in Signal, when I type Serbia, I just get Serbia and Serbian as suggestions. I have another friend using the Signal app on iOS who does get emoji recommendations from his keyboard, so I have seen that it is possible, but all my recommended auto-replacements are textual. I don't understand why this is different on my iPhone X and his iPhone 7. It's very annoying to have to scroll through all the emojis and pick one rather than just type a word and get it. What is happening and how do I fix it?

I often run into the situation where the OS will suspend some of my apps because of low memory. If I am lucky, a window will appear that allows me to select which apps I want to quit and which apps I want to resume, which works reliably and is fine. However, often that window does **not** appear. This is usually the case when my machine (mid-2015 MBP 15", 16GB RAM, OS X 10.11.2) has just woken from sleep. In that case, the only symptom is that I have a bunch of unresponsive apps that show as (Not responding) in Activity Monitor. I have tried to resume processes by sending the CONT signal (either via Activity Monitor or via the Terminal) and for a small number of apps this works, but for the majority of apps it does not. For example, when this happened to me just now, I force quitted Preview (which was the chief memory hog) and tried to resume the other apps with CONT. This worked fine for Clear, but not for anything else. In some cases, such as Emacs, it had no effect - process still shows as (Not responding). In other cases, such as Bibdesk, it leaves the app in a strange unusable state where the main window refuses to appear on screen and the menus don't work. So how can I force that process management window to appear, or otherwise do whatever magic it is doing to "resume" apps?

I'm seeing a ripple-like interference on an external display attached to my 2010 Mac Book Pro via VGA (Display adapter). This only occurs when the Mac is booted into MacOS X but not Windows. It's intermittent may not happen for a period but then comes in short sporadic bursts. How can I stop the interference happening? It has only recently started happening in the last 2 months. Reason for using (analogue) VGA and not digital HDMI or DVI is that I have a KVM switch that shares the monitor with 2 other machines - one of which only has VGA output. Things I've tried already (still seeing the interference): - Eliminate the KVM itself from suspicion - connect the monitor direct to the Mac, via VGA no KVM in between - Re-arranged the power plugs of the various other PCs and devices in case there was some kind of earthing issue - Disconnected the Mac from the mains, again to see if there was an earthing issue - Checked drivers and OS up-to-date - Took Mac to Genius Bar at local Mac Store. They made thorough checks and diagonstics and reset "PRAM" etc. They couldn't reproduce my problem on a VGA monitor in-store Tried to link the issue to hard disc activity or activities on other devices (DVD, blu-ray burners attached, USB3 Express card) but drawing no conclusions. Since taking to Mac store not seeing the interference so much but it did still happen. Their further suggestions are to screen record to verify if the interference is in the digital domain (i.e. happening on the graphics card) or in the analogue domain (which I think is the case), to boot off the install disc (thinking here is driver issue), to check refresh rates of the monitor and try alternatives if possible. The fact that I never see this when the Mac is booted into Windows leads me to believe that there is some kind of driver issue in Mac OS X. Perhaps it is telling hardware to put signals on some pins or paths that cause interference. Or perhaps a flaw in the driver software that is involved with the switching between the discrete and integrated graphics cards (which shouldn't happen anyway because the Mac is always on mains power when it happens). Thoughts?

How can I control the audio chain within macOS?
I have an audio signal coming into the Mac from an audio interface. I want to be able to control the signal flow within the Mac, routing the signal through different applications, in the order I want it to, before going out from the Mac back into the audio interface.

Prevent "<application> quit unexpectedly" message on sigquit
I kill Python processes with SIGQUIT by pressing Ctrl \ sometimes (usually my own that are misbehaving). Can I prevent the "Python quit unexpectedly" message? I know I can just hit escape, so it's not so bad. !["Python quit unexpectedly." dialog][1] [1]: https://i.sstatic.net/UCopx.png

Relay calls from one phone to another
Does anyone know of an app (on iOS, Android or any platform) that will allow me to place one phone in a part of my house that has good phone signal, and have it relay all calls to another device using my home's WiFi?

I recently upgraded my iPhone 4 to IOS 6 (from 5.1.1 it had before), and since then I'm having lots of signal troubles: the signal is always low and unreliable, and the iPhone continuously switches between 3G and GPRS (also draining the battery in the process). Internet access is almost unusable, and sometimes I can't even make or receive calls. I'm in Italy, my carrier is TIM; however, this is not a carrier problem, and is unrelated to the actual place I'm in: I'm having these signal troubles in the very same places where I had full signal strength before the IOS upgrade. I've been searching around for a while, and looks like this is quite a common problem; various solutions have been proposed (including downgrading to IOS 5 on the assumption that this is caused by some bug in IOS 6), but no agreement has been reached about how to actually solve it. How to fix this?

In my spare time, I am a volunteer for the fire brigade. Yesterday I was attending a lessons about preventing fires, and we saw a movie about a lady fueling her car while receiving a call. And "boom"! The fuel, and later the car, exploded because her cell phone got a call. The teacher told us it was because her cell phone gave an electrical signal (a kind of *spark*) and by so light up the whole place. Since I tend to carry my iPhone 4S in my pockets all the time, I'm concerned about the risk of entering a building filled with some gas. If I get a call when I'm in such a building, I'm afraid I won't be around to answer the call anymore. :) So, the teacher told us there are special cell phones which are *explosion proof*. These phones don't generate a spark or detectable electric signal of any kind when receiving a call. Is the iPhone 4S such a cell phone? In other words, is it safe to carry an iPhone 4S when entering a building filled with gas?
