So that I can confirm that it's either not been provided, or so that I can ascertain what I've done incorrectly, what, specifically, is this activity requesting? (The more technical, the better: I'd like to be able to cite a standard, and/or AOSP code, if possible. However, any answer is better than none, so I'll be grateful regardless.)

explains, I've been unable to activate my eSIM, because my OEM's AOSP 15 distribution's com.google.android.euicc/com.android.euicc.ui.activation.QrDownloadActivity
activity requests a "confirmation code" which my cellular provider (HUTCHISON 3G UK LIMITED's SMARTY brand) does not appear to provide: [\[1\]]
