I downloaded the apk from [here](https://www.whatsapp.com/android/) with WhatsApp version 2.17.106 (size 34601974 bytes). There, it says: "Android OS 2.3.3 or above". I can extract the APK's contents without errors, so the file is not broken. My old smartphone model is GT-S6102, a Samsung Galaxy Duos, running Android 2.3.6. I have enabled "Install from unknown sources" and "USB debugging". I have let Lookout scan it before installing. When trying to install that APK using the file manager, I get this message: > There is a problem parsing the package I am also unable to install it from Google Play Store. From Google Play, it says "Package file is invalid". **Update:** version 2.17.350 does **not** work again.

Is there to set screen resolution/screen density by app?

But a couple of apps don't seem to like it (menus appear strange, some text not displayed at all etc). Is there a way (app, setting etc) to make it so that specific apps run on specific resolutions or at least, a screen resolution/density changer that lets you choose apps on which to ignore that setting? My goal is to be able to have a specific resolution set for certain apps and have others display in the original resolution my phone has in its factory setting. I'm hoping that's possible as I remember running custom ROMs on previous Android phones I've had that had different resolutions for some applications.

Does Google Play allow a 'Pick' button triggering purchase confirmation dialog instead of direct billing flow?

**Context:** My Android app shows list of subscription plans, with a "Pick" labeled button below them. Tapping it currently launches the Google Pay sheet immediately, however, to confirm to play-store policy I want to add a confirmation dialog first, basically: 1. User taps "Pick" 2. Confirmation dialog appears with content: - Message: "You're about to purchase the selected plan. This will charge your Google account." - Buttons: "Purchase" and "Cancel" buttons 3. Only if "Purchase" is clicked → Google Billing flow starts **Question:** Does this comply with Google Play policies? Specifically: - Is the initial "Pick" label acceptable since the actual payment initiation happens via a clearly labeled "Purchase" dialog? - Does the dialog satisfy policy requirements for explicit purchase confirmation? - Are there examples of apps using similar flows? **Policy references I checked:** - [Google Play Payments Policy §4](https://play.google.com/about/monetization-requirements/) requires "clear disclosure" of payments. - [Billing best practices](https://developer.android.com/google/play/billing) mention reducing accidental purchases.

In the Gmail app, how can I view the actual email addresses an email has been sent to, rather than just the name? Sometimes the person in question has more than one email address and it would be useful to see which email address was used. The only method I've come up with so far is to hit reply all and then scroll around the cc: field, but that is clunky, particularly if there are quite a few recipients. Any better options? I am using Android 1.5 on a T-Mobile Pulse (aka Huawei U8220).

Lets say I have an existing Android 11 ROM and I would like to add a priv-app app to the system with system level permissions. In order for this app to be able to write secure settings and become a device owner and so on. I would like to keep secure boot enabled. If I understand it correctly these apps need to be signed by the platform manufacturer's key which I do not have obviously. I do not want to use root or some sort of workarounds in magisk, XPosed/LSPosed module or a frida-script. but I can open the system.img and change or add files to it. Is it possible to add your own platform key or replace the existing key and then re-assign sign all current apps with it?

I recently got a Samsung S25. Since then I regularly notice its failing to pick up text when I try to type something in the address of my chrome browser. Today I actually managed to get a screenshot as you can see that the address bar is empty while the type suggestions are showing. The problem is not happening all the time, perhaps a few times per day. I did not notice it in other apps, but I also don't use any other browsers if that matters. This eliminates any concerns about whether the keyboard actually picks up the letters, but I am not sure about how to go forward. I found a recommendation to do a full reboot, that did not have any effect. enter image description here

Occasionally (maybe twice a month) my **Milestone** just reboots (goes black and then to the Android start-up screen, but not all the way to the Motorola screen). I presume that such behaviour could be caused a poorly written app. I have uninstalled a few but to no avail. Is there any sort of log that I could pull which would shed some light on this or even a dump file? Could this restarting issue be caused by something else? I am currently running **Android 2.1** (no OTA update available for me, yet) on a Milestone and have had this problem since I bought it in December (when it was 2.0).

I have an HTC One running Android Revolution HD (ARHD), with Android 4.4.2, and I've been getting this error that says >Bluetooth share has stopped working. The problem is that I have *no clue* what's causing this error to appear. I think it started appearing after I clicked the "share" button in an app - but even after fully rebooting my device, I STILL keep getting this error. Does anyone know what could cause this error? And more importantly - how do I debug what app is causing this error? I just don't even know where to start investigating.

Is it possible to delete the "personal profile" that is created in the Galaxy Contacts app? The personal profile section appears directly at the top above the contacts list, under "My profile". After creating the profile it doesn't seem possible to delete it (I can only edit it - but I want it removed). I am using One UI 5.0 (Android 13) and the Contacts app version is 14.0.05.8 The profile isn't linked to any Samsung account. The Samsung Contacts app personal profile seems to be stored locally on the phone. I tried clearing the Contacts app data & cache but this didn't remove the personal profile unfortunately.

I'm constantly harassed by these *" Download unsuccessful."* notifications. Download unsuccessful. After taking the above screenshot, I cleared the entire notifications list. Within the next three minutes (usually even less), the list was already overflowing again. Download unsuccessful. I've learned to manage the symptom by navigating to the ***Download Manager*** application settings; hitting *FORCE STOP*, followed by *CLEAR DATA*, and *CLEAR CACHE*. Although the notifications slowly start showing up again. Just one at first, but gradually increasing in number with each occurance. Within a day or two, the numbers are usually back out of control. Download Manager application settings Download Manager application settings I have no idea what it's supposedly attempting to download, or why. But whatever it is, it's not instigated by myself. I could just disable download notifications, but I'd rather identify the underlying problem and kill it directly. Needless to say, I'm not too keen on my devices automatically trying to download random mystery files from the internet. Any ideas? Thanks. FYI: The device in question is a **ZTE Blade L5** smartphone.

Most times the **Samsung** S23+ BT, with LE Audio enabled, connectivity to my **Oticon** Intent hearing aids is great. However, sometimes I think another BT device interferes causing the connectivity to drop (i.e. I can hear the party on the other end but they can not hear me!). I observe the BT icon on my phone is turned OFF due to this interference. As a result, I am forced to either turn ON the BT icon or turn on the Speaker to allow our conversation to continue. But, many times the other party believes a disconnect and calls me back. Very frustrating! Is there someway I can set the phone BT priority highest while paired with my HAs to block any other outside BT interference? Or, is there a Do Not Disturb type setting I can invoke real time to block outside BT interference? Or, is there an App I can install that would address the issue in some way? Any feedback or suggestions would be appreciated.
