Now, if I turn on Instagram reels, what happens is the Music Player gets paused and the audio output happens through the Bluetooth speaker. What I want is for my Insta sound output should be through my phone's speaker. **Is there any way by which this can be achieved?** There can be many more use cases for this but this is just a small example.

# The Requirements I want an app that I can use on both my phone and computer that allows me to: - Turn on and off my hotspot of my phone from my PC, i.e. doesn't automatically turn on when I open my PC - Works fully from my computer without me having to interact with my phone except for first-time setup - (Preferably) Can do it simply (and without bloat), i.e. not having to remotely control the whole phone screen. Additional useful features are fine, but I don't want to have to go through the phone UI from my computer in order to enable the hotspot. - (Optionally) Doesn't require my computer to have Internet access, only Bluetooth. - (Preferably) Can automatically connect my computer to my phone's hotspot without me having to type in the password (Instant Hotspot) - (Preferably) FOSS - (Preferably) Has a UI, and is not an automation app running on my phone that checks for a bluetooth connection from my laptop. I found that this solution is problematic because my laptop and phone will try to constantly auto-connect when paired, leading to the hotspot automatically turning on. If you can find a solution with Tasker that prevents this issue, I would love to hear it, although a dedicated app with this feature would be preferred. # My Devices Windows 11, Framework 13 laptop with Wi-fi and Bluetooth.\ Android 16, Pixel 9a, rooted using KernelSU Next. # Apps I've tried - Windows Phone Link - Instant Hotspot : Doesn't support the Instant Hotspot feature on my phone, only a select few Galaxy and Samsung phones are supported. - AirDroid - the app is quite bloated, requires me to remotely control my phone to turn on the hotspot, and requires internet access on both devices to function - KDEConnect - the majority of features seem broken on windows, and I couldn't figure out a way to remotely enable the hotspot

I have to note that the keyboard is used in portrait mode with "4-row Gingerbread layout" for which I need an answer, 5 rows has the enter in its place. My question is, is there a way to disable the emoji button and put the enter where it belongs without going to the special characters? Going through the settings I could not notice any option that would help me do so. Thanks in advance. ![1st image](https://i.sstatic.net/9aOSL.png) ![2nd image](https://i.sstatic.net/H3ddQ.png)

So, for instance one of apps renamed itself to "Content on this profile might be inappropriate for those under a certain age" and displays that message (and "Stopped.") in a MessageBox when started. Its icon also changed (to a grey heart; another changed to a grey edit-pencil). It works again after reinstalling it though. And my VLC player app is now called "_". Do you think my phone fell victim to a virus? I got the Kaspersky virus scanner installed and when doing a full scan it finds nothing. I guess it's probably just some bug. Maybe someone else had the same problem? Edit: it appears that moving apps from my phone to the SD card was causing the icon-problem. The icon of Firefox changed to some grey icon after doing so. It changed back to the proper icon after I restarted the device. Not sure if that was also causing the app-names problem and I think it's unlikely to have caused that soundcloud-app-problem.

Kiosk / app lock mode Is it possible to lock the device to a specific app or set of apps (e.g., Netflix, custom apps) without disabling the default MAG launcher? Are there supported methods via the Infomir portal or operator/admin tools? If not, are there workarounds (like Android “lock task mode” / pinned mode) to achieve a similar kiosk setup? 2. Removing app login information Can end-users or operators clear saved credentials for apps like Netflix and YouTube without performing a full factory reset? If not, is there any remote/admin method to wipe credentials while keeping other device settings intact?

I have a Huawei P20 Lite with Android 9, EMUI 9.1.0 and WhatsApp 2.19.253, which is the latest version. As I wrote in the title, I can't receive WhatsApp messages, after many hours of researching I didn't find any solution for my problem. This is the first time I face whit this problem, because I managed and configured variues P20 Lite but none of them gave me that headache. The things which I did: * Turn on every single option for WhatsApp's notifications; * Uninstall the application and install it again; * Remove the app from the battery optimization process; * Clear the cache; * Enabled automatic start, secondary start and running in background, following this steps Settings -> Battery -> app launch -> 3 vertical dots -> manage manually; * No limit for internet traffic and allow background data, following Settings -> networks and wireless -> data usage -> select WhatsApp -> enabled the varius option. Any idea or solution for this problem? EDIT When I send a message from my phone to this P20 Lite, on the message appears only 1 tick, such as the P20 is disconnected from wifi/mobile data, but the wifi is enabled and connected, the same behaviour with mobile data.

I had a Huawei Mate 9 before, and there was an icon at the bottom-center of the screen, so that when I tap it, it shows all apps on the phone. (It is running the latest Android it can, which I think is Android 9 and EMUI 9.1) However, I just got a Xiaomi Redmi 9 , and there seems to be no such icon (it is running Android 10 and MIMU 11). I can only slide the desktop left and right. Is the standard Android interface actually to show all apps by default on the desktop (and is slide-able, like on an iPhone), and so there is no need to have that bottom-center icon, and we actually can see all apps on the phone just by sliding the desktop left and right?

First of all, hello friends. My issue is briefly as follows: I want to transfer incoming calls to an Android device to an iPhone. I have two phones, one Android and one iPhone. What I want to do is instantly transfer incoming calls and SMS from the Android device to the iPhone and be able to make calls from the iPhone through the Android device. What I want is something that the devices already support (like Android Auto or CarPlay). I have several different methods in mind, but I haven't found an app or a method that can do what I mentioned. It could be done using one of these methods: 1. Incoming calls to the Android device can be transferred to the iPhone via Bluetooth. 2. If we use the Android device only as a tether and connect from the iPhone via Wi-Fi, I can make and receive calls and SMS over Wi-Fi (presumably VoIP) even when the iPhone is not registered. I can do this by getting a twin SIM card, but when the Android device connects to the phone network, the iPhone becomes inactive, meaning it only needs to connect to the network for internet like a mobile Wi-Fi. 3. The simplest solution, which I can't find, is to transfer incoming calls and SMS to my iPhone via a third-party application. This request may seem strange to you, but unfortunately, if you don't register the device in Turkey (which costs approximately 1000 USD), you can only use the device with your SIM card for 8 months of the year.

**TL;DR:** On-device, we can navigate to *Settings › Apps,* and for each app separately can call up details on storage used: by the app itself, by its data, by its cache. Is it possible to obtain those details from the command line, ideally via ADB – and ***without having root access?*** **In detail:** I've already searched the web, but found no information on this. I've already tried walking the package list (pm list packages), obtaining the path to the APK file (adb shell pm path $pkgname | awk -F':' '{print $2}'), and getting the file size of that (adb shell stat $path | grep Size) – but that has a series of disadvantages: * it only gives me the size of the APK (for updated system apps, only of the latest update) * even if scripted, it takes ~2s per app to obtain even that. As today's devices already ship with far more than 100 system apps, it would take "ages" even if only a few user apps were installed (almost 6 minutes on an almost virgin Wiko Sunny 3 where I just tried that) * details on data and cache are completely missing Ideally, Android has already somewhere collected those details; it doesn't take that long via the GUI. Maybe there's some database one could query ***without having root privileges*** – or some XML to parse, or some shell command I missed? **PS:** if you know about a root-only solution, that'd be "better than nothing". Please indicate that in a comment then so I can come back and ask you to make that an answer if there are no non-root solutions.

Previously I had a Nokia 7.1 (Android 9) when I started to notice this issue. Every few time, the older images I had on my Download folder disappeared without I doing nothing. From time to time it happened again. I let this pass. Every time that ocurred, I manually download the images again, because I needed to have those images there. Today, I have another smartphone (Multilaser MS50X, a brazilian cellphone with Android 8.1) and exactly after a month of started using it, the older images of my Download folder disappeared again!!! I've checked some apps that I think it could be doing something like that: * Google Chrome (downloads data to this folder) * Google Photos (sync and backup images) * File Manager + (access to data and folders) * Quickpic (gallery app) But no one have an option to "automatically delete Download folders content after a while". I don't have any Clean App, neither use the function "Free up space" of Android. Also none of those cellphones had an option like "storage booster" or "smart storage" like state on this thread: https://android.stackexchange.com/questions/165200/android-phone-automatically-deletes-photos Any clue where can I look? It's annoying Regards Update: When I open Google Photos, go to 'Photos on device', and select 'Download', I can see all the deleted images (the images that should be on that folder and it doesn't)

View app's full package name?
I am using Android 4.0.3 and I can no longer find package name for some app. If I recall, I used to go to Applications and has been able to see it there. So, how can I see full package name of some app? Like, the app's name is "Test" and I need to see its package `com.test.mytest`.

Some apps implement logic that requires a query every time data is activated on the smartphone. This consists of a conditional block such as: if a new version is available, then force the update or automatically block. This prevents the user from continuing to use the app unless they comply with the request. I noticed that the auto-block and the caption that refers the user to the update are standardized (comparison between different apps); this raises a question: is this code due to Google, meaning it's generated by the APK package installer created, for example, with Android Studio?

Since it's for this weekend, I'd prefer an accommodation that has instant booking, but since I'm also still open to any accommodation, I'd prefer not to restrict the list of Airbnb listings to only the ones that have instant booking (which is possible to do as a filter). Therefore, I wonder: How do I know if an Airbnb listing has instant booking when looking at an Airbnb listing?

I would like to know whether on an Android device it is possible to: 1. Log the date and time of every time a password is entered on my Android phone (this security measure would mean that if someone in my home sees me enter a password without me noticing it, and then uses it to log into my phone, I would then be able to see whether this happened or not to take care of my suspicion). 2. As an extra step, I would like to log all activity once the login screen is bypassed as well (for instance the date an time and application name for each time an application is opened. This is because, while my phone is password protected, once I make the screen go blank by pressing the hardware button on the right, some time goes by until a password is required: I have things set up this way so that I don't have to enter the password just so often). So, is there a way to log all user activity when the lock screen has been bypassed as well? The device I have is a Samsung Galaxy SIII Neo running Android KitKat 4.4.2. The device has been rooted. Thanks!!!
