I would like to be able to do this with one speaker playing "left audio" and the other playing "right audio". Is this a possibility on Android? The JBL Flip 7 is capable of playing audio over USB while connected to a phone over USB-C. I just don't know if it is possible to connect two to a hub in order to be able to do what I mentioned above.

The games sound very tiny compared to regular speaker experience you get when using the phone because Android switches audio API to low level one for gaming. Regular API is used when you screen record during gaming, and it sounds full, rich, and spatial with Dolby Atmos on. Genshin Impact has Audio API compatibility mode option to force regular API, but not all games provide this. So, is there any method, app, or ADB command to force regular API for gaming?

Since starting to use USB-C headphones (my new phone has no audio jack), I have noticed this (to my ears) very annoying issue: during playback of any audio, the sound output will be cut during moments of (very) low volume in the audio stream. For example: listening to an audiobook, after every sentence, when the narrator pauses, you will hear a noticeable cut of all sound output, where normally there's always a little white noise in the background. I guess it's an optimization of not sending any audio signal when there is nothing to be heard, but to me, these constant breaks in the background white noise are very annoying. As a reference: this did not happen when using the audio jack on my old phone. The background white noise was just always present during playback. I tried to research this issue, but it seems to be almost impossible to set the right search terms or no one else is complaining about this, although I find the latter hard to believe since my partner experiences the same. Also, in the Android settings, I cannot find anything related to this. Still, I hope there is a way to resolve this. Either by applying a certain (advanced) setting or maybe by using some other workaround trick. Any insight and/or help in this matter is much appreciated, thanks! P.S. I assume this is standard Android behavior for USB-C headphones and not headphone-specific. Please enlighten me if I'm wrong.

I have a problem with audio streaming that I can not listen audio from Pulseaudio when using VNC with a Linux Desktop Environment. However it works if I export the audio to XSDL. But the problem is that after I exit the application the sound does not work in the background. I know that Pulseaudio only supports Xorg servers, so how to stream audio to VNC or any other application on Android and to run it in the background. I know that there is an application Simple Protocol Player that listens to pulseaudio sound from Xorg Server, but it does not work for me and I do not know the reason.

Overall, I'm quite happy with the speed and, in particular, the camera performance of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. However, like its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, the S25 intermittently jitters when playing Bluetooth audio via hands-free connection to my 2011 Mazda 3 hatchback. It happens when playing Spotify music, and even during a phone call. That phone call audio jitter is heard also by the other party on the call. This problem is severe because a smartphone is used primarily for its mobile communication feature, so that you can speak to others remotely, especially during emergencies. It doesn't matter how nice the other smartphone features are; phone calls have got to work effectively and consistently every time! Even worse, the Galaxy will also intermittently mute its audio via certain third-party Bluetooth FM radio transmitters like the Anker Roav, to which I've tried to switch in order to mitigate the S25 Bluetooth issue in the 2011 Mazda 3. This problem is not mentioned anywhere in the online forums, and apparently, no Samsung technician can help either via their support channel. With the Anker Roav Bluetooth FM transmitter, when the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra broadcasts audio (especially from YouTube videos) onto the Roav, the audio is intermittently muted for exactly 13 seconds each time while the video keeps playing. I've noticed that other audio output such as TTS guidance from Waze is also affected. You can imagine what a dismay it is to have lost your exit on the highway where you were supposed to get off because the voice navigation failed to play audibly. The same problem happened to me on the S24. **UPDATE** (April 14, 2025): the audio skipping issue has now begun happening also on the Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro playing audio from the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra! The audio mutes itself for exactly 6 seconds intermittently. Each time it's 6 seconds of silence. This is followed by an undetermined period of perfect audio, and then another sudden 6 seconds muted! It seems to happen randomly and I can't correlate it with anything, except that each time it's 6 seconds of silence. All audio is affected, including for instance Spotify music streaming and Waze GPS navigation. Has anyone experienced anything similar to this on either model smartphone, and how did you correct it?

Many livestreams or recordings with spoken content are made through video conferencing software which compresses audio in such a way that high frequencies of the speech between 3500 and 10k Hz are painful to hear, which you encounter mostly when you play back video clips or podcasts derived from such software. Can you recommend a solution to normalize this bandwidth when any audio is streamed into any output channel? (any headphones or inbuilt audio speakers) **Wavelet** seems to be a privacy-oriented third-party tool with good user documentation. But it seems a bit tricky to set it up on a multi-user system such as Graphene OS if you prefer not to use the command line on the mobile device. I also found two other candidates : **RootlessJamesDSP** and **ARISE Sound Systems** Is there any sort of Equalizer that is built into the Operating System, how to find it? Or should it be a third-party app, and which one?

As discussed in this Health.SE post , there seems to be health implications (related to hearing loss etc.) if one hears the music at higher decibel volume. Hence, its better to check what sound level you are hearing your music at for safer media experience.

This seems a regular issue to a lot of people without a true fix. The bad sound quality when in a call through the Discord app. For what I can understand, it is caused by the channel: the "phone sound channel" or "call mode". It seems that Discord had an option to switch between the two modes, but that option has been removed. So I'm looking at a more drastic solution: disabling the call mode channel entirely, and forcing every app to push their audio to the communication mode channel. Is that possible? To me, this feature does not make any sense anyway. Why would you need a channel that not only lower every sounds you are listening to (including the voice of the person you are speaking with) **as well** as lowering the audio quality of your own microphone. If someone is knowlegdable about why such thing exist, I would be very curious to know the explaination. On a practical sense, this feature confuses me a lot. And funny addition: I use an app to track the kilometers I do during my walks. For every kilometers done, a voice announce the number, the time, ... When the voice is speaking, the channels are switched and the quality is suddently perfect. When the voice has finished, everything goes back to 2000 phone call quality. It shows that the phone is perfecly capable to handle the sound and that another app can trigger the switch.

Is there a way to enable a system-wide disable/mute switch for audio when the playback device changes (i.e. on an Android phone). Sometimes on the bus, my Bluetooth headset will disconnect from the phone, and VLC continues to play music loudly through the built-in speakers, which is embarassing for the user and annoying to other passengers. Similarly, using "Smart Audiobook Player", if the same thing happens, the family gets to listen to whatever I'm listening to during a Bluetooth disconnect until I manually unlock and stop playback 30 seconds later. Is there any reliable mechanism built into the OS to clamp down on this "feature"?

Here is the sound on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-H5ZOVelLEw *The sound video was uploaded by a person who has the same problem as me, though he has a smartphone of another model. In general, there are not few people asking the question but the solution still has not been found. I would like to place the links to the people's questions but I don't have enough reputation to put more than 2 links here.* I checked the /system folder and **/system/media/audio/ui** folder particularly and found the sound fallbackring.ogg only in the latter. But this is not the sound produced by the volume buttons (as I have learnt it is an input call sound playing when the Bluetooth is turned on and used). Then I have found the page http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2378177 where the screen unlock system sound is replaced. The sound is situated in **/system/framework/framework-res.apk**. So I copied the framework-res.apk file and all the .apk files from /system/priv-app (as in the folder there are .apk files whose names sound like system: SystemUI.apk, Settings.apk, IputDevices.apk and etc. on my smartphone) to my PC, converted them to ZIP and searched there for any .ogg, .mp3 and .wav files. I have found some .ogg and .mp3 system sounds but not the volume button system sound and I have also found files like open.wav, open_bluetooth.wav, success.wav and failure.wav but I managed to play them with VLC media player neither on Windows nor on Linux and, still, their names have nothing in common with the volume button. So here is my small investigation. Could someone, please, give me a tip where the annoying beep sound can be kept? Or, maybe, is it produced with hardware of the smartphone? I will appreciate any help.

It used to be possible, a few Android updates back (can't remember which Android version), but not any more it seems, at least not out of the box. I've tried the stock Clock app, Ovo Timer and Timer (by Opoloo). In all three cases alarm signals are only played as expected while not making a phone call.

I believe this is possible, but I'm not sure if it exists or if I need to make it. More details: I bought a side by side and want to have a way to talk to my passenger. I've already got a helmet with an IMSA plug (road racing) and earplug headphones, and I'd like to keep that setup, so I bought a traccom chaser, which I believe is basically a Bluetooth headphone setup that plugs into my helmet plug. The passenger would have one as well. Generally, you'd pair one with a phone, then call another person with one, or there's a chance I could pair it with a "Sena" motorcycle-style system. I didn't want something that stayed in the vehicle because they're mostly not waterproof or extremely expensive.

Whenever I go to sleep, I always have a playlist of YouTube videos playing in the background (on my phone, not a computer or TV). There are several videos or series that I would love to add to my "background noise" playlist; unfortunately, the volume itself on the audio wavers far too much, to the point that the volume I set on my phone is either too high that it risks waking me up shortly after falling asleep, or too low that I cannot hear half of the video. I have tried searching through various apps on the Google Play Store, but it seems most of them try to equalize volume based on frequency (such as treble and bass), and not intensity (in decibels). I am looking for an app (or if it exists, a setting in my phone) where I can set a limit of __ to __ decibels, and all audio coming out of my phone will be within that range (similar to noise gating but with output instead of input). If anyone has a solution or app out there that would fit this description, please do let me know. Thank you in advance! I have tried browsing around in the audio settings on my Galaxy S22+ but have not seen anything that would help. I have also downloaded about 5 or 6 different equalizer apps, but again, they all were based on frequency and not intensity/volume itself.
