Can you recommend a solution to normalize this bandwidth when any audio is streamed into any output channel? (any headphones or inbuilt audio speakers)
**Wavelet** seems to be a privacy-oriented third-party tool with good user documentation. But it seems a bit tricky to set it up on a multi-user system such as Graphene OS if you prefer not to use the command line on the mobile device. I also found two other candidates : **RootlessJamesDSP** and **ARISE Sound Systems**
Is there any sort of Equalizer that is built into the Operating System, how to find it? Or should it be a third-party app, and which one?

Whenever I go to sleep, I always have a playlist of YouTube videos playing in the background (on my phone, not a computer or TV). There are several videos or series that I would love to add to my "background noise" playlist; unfortunately, the volume itself on the audio wavers far too much, to the point that the volume I set on my phone is either too high that it risks waking me up shortly after falling asleep, or too low that I cannot hear half of the video.
I have tried searching through various apps on the Google Play Store, but it seems most of them try to equalize volume based on frequency (such as treble and bass), and not intensity (in decibels). I am looking for an app (or if it exists, a setting in my phone) where I can set a limit of __ to __ decibels, and all audio coming out of my phone will be within that range (similar to noise gating but with output instead of input).
If anyone has a solution or app out there that would fit this description, please do let me know. Thank you in advance!
I have tried browsing around in the audio settings on my Galaxy S22+ but have not seen anything that would help. I have also downloaded about 5 or 6 different equalizer apps, but again, they all were based on frequency and not intensity/volume itself.

I recently got a new Pixel 6 Pro and loved it so far, but the earpiece speaker seemed a little quiet to me, so i went into Accessibility settings and changed the audio balance.
Problematically, this also alters balance for Bluetooth headphones, Android Auto, ...
Is there any way through an app or natively that allows me to control balance just for my **phone's** speakers?
Thanks!

After a couple of times of trying many solutions I found on the internet, I still couldn't fix the problem. I think, I have tried almost everything.
Actually, before this problem, I also have one more problem, which is now fixed. That problem is that the
Driver Status
is "Abnormal", and the Audio Format
is "Unsupported", like this:
Driver Version: 2.5.0.4
NEON Enabled: No
Enabled: No
Status: Abnormal
Audio Format: Unsupported
Processing: No
Sampling Rate: 0
Well, that problem is fixed now ([solution here](https://www.theandroidsoul.com/install-viper4android-nougat/)) , but I still got a problem.
ViPER4Android is not processing, even if I'm playing a song. I'm pretty sure that the music player that I'm using is supported. I am using Google Play Music as my music player.
The problem is that, whatever I change (a setting) on ViPER4Android, it is still the same. It doesn't do anything, but the stock equalizer does. The stock equalizer is still working, which should be not.
Here is the driver status:
Driver Status: 2.5.0.4
NEON Enabled: Yes
Enabled: Yes
Status: Normal
Audio Format: Supported
Processing: No
Sampling Rate: 48000
Some things you might ask:
**Have you tried turning it off and on again? (ViPER4Android):** Yes.
**Have you tried turning it off and on again? (Android device):** Yes.
**Have you tried disabling the stock equalizer? :** I "tried", but it didn't work.
**What sites have you found on the internet for solutions? :** I can't remember 'cause there are a lot, but it's mostly on [XDA](https://www.xda-developers.com/) .
**Have you flashed a flashable zip? :** Yes.
**What device are you using? :** See below.

I referred to https://android.stackexchange.com/questions/87963/android-5-0-lollipop-music-equalizer and I could not find **MusicFX** anywhere in my apps.
It doesn't work with Equlizer+, Bass Booster EQ, Shuttle, Rocket Music Player and any others wither.
I have ran out of options and I really want sound quality back. My phone is **LG Leon** and it is running Android Lollipop (v 5.1.1).

***To save time, you can just read the bold writing OR the short summary at the end***
I saw some reviews of "*Viper4Android*", it looked good so **I installed it on my OnePlus One** (CM13 NOT CM13S). **The tutorial I followed was in the description of this YouTube video**. **I flashed the *viper4android* zip file** (which I downloaded from the tutorial video) in TWRP recovery, in the zip file name it said "*lolli*" meaning lollipop which isn't the android version I use but apparently all I needed to do for it to work on Marshmallow was enabled init.d and create a file named "*08setperm*" to the init.d directory created when init.d was enabled.
**I followed all the steps of the written text tutorial** **but after I rebooted my phone as the last step,** **the *viper4android* app wasn't making any changes**, so after some looking around the app and on the internet for ways to make it work, I concluded that I simply couldn't use it on my device.
I began uninstalling it by **first uninstalling the drivers in the app itself**. Then **I undone the changes I made in the "Universal Init.d" App and deleted everything in that app that I could.** I uninstalled "Universal Init.d" when this was complete.
I rebooted the phone and tested the *viper4android* app to make sure it didn't just magically start working and it didn't so I closed it and **used Titanium Backup to uninstall it as it was installed as a system app.**
After I rebooted my phone once again, to clear the ram of any evidence of viper4android, *I noticed that the "AudioFX" app was gone.* I had planned on going back to using that app again as an equalizer since viper4android wasn't working.
**I flashed a zip I found somewhere on XDA which was the AudioFX app for CM13**, upon opening the app, it would remain blank with only the title bar reading "AudioFX". **So it basically wasn't functional.**
I then tried **updating to the latest build (CM13 nightlies) using CyanDelta**, I had the latest update downloaded and I then let **CyanDelta automatically flash the zip** along with romracers v80 xposed framework zip and then clear the cache etc.
After it was completely booted, I noticed **the AudioFX app was still missing**. I will continue to flash the latest nightly builds until the audiofx app is reinstalled from them.
**The point is, *viper4android* completely removed the *audiofx* app from my phone and I can't get it back even if I flash the latest nightly build of CM13. Right now I am flashing a nightly build straight from cyanogenmod downloads that hasn't been messed with by CyanDelta as a test.**
Thank in advance!

Built-in MusicFX equalizer doesn't affect YouTube Music. I also tried several external apps, which claim that they are OS wide, and in fact they're able to adjust sounds from standard Music app and Play Music app. But none of them work for YouTube Music app. They only can change volume while it's playing.
If you suggest app-based solutions, please, don't suggest apps that you haven't tried yourselves so they worked for you. If there's a solution with features shipping with Android itself, all the better.

I would like to install the app DSPManager from Cyanogenmod on my Nexus 4 running ParanoidAndroid.
I grabbed the newest CM and extracted "/system/app/DSPManager.apk" and "/system/lib/soundfx/*" and copied the files onto my phone. I also changed permissions to "rw-r--r--", then I rebooted and could choose the new Equalizer in the Settings (in Sounds).
However changed Settings did just apply for the next song (not the currently playing) until I started DSPManager again...
What is the proper way to install DSPManager on a non-CM Rom, are there other rom-related things I need to change?
How can I get DSPManager to work on my Setup?
PS: I use the Apollo Music Player
PS2: I'm also open to source changes if necessary, but this might not belong on this site!
