Many livestreams or recordings with spoken content are made through video conferencing software which compresses audio in such a way that high frequencies of the speech between 3500 and 10k Hz are painful to hear, which you encounter mostly when you play back video clips or podcasts derived from such software. Can you recommend a solution to normalize this bandwidth when any audio is streamed into any output channel? (any headphones or inbuilt audio speakers) **Wavelet** seems to be a privacy-oriented third-party tool with good user documentation. But it seems a bit tricky to set it up on a multi-user system such as Graphene OS if you prefer not to use the command line on the mobile device. I also found two other candidates : **RootlessJamesDSP** and **ARISE Sound Systems** Is there any sort of Equalizer that is built into the Operating System, how to find it? Or should it be a third-party app, and which one?

I have a Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus and an Android car screen that I bought recently. My car is a Mazda 3 sedan 2018 (display with no touchscreen). The head unit is connected to a DSP, amplifier, and 2-way 6,5" components. This is because I'm always looking for a better sound quality, therefore I reproduce music with my phone through DAC Fiio Q11 which sends the clean signal to my car head unit via a 4.4 balanced jack cable. The problem comes with the Android car screen. When I connect it to my phone through BT, everything works fine except the music because the screen starts playing with its own internal speakers even when I disable the audio option in BT settings. Also, I try to go to individual external player settings and set it to play music only on my phone, but the problem remains. So I was searching for this kind of problem and didn't find any solution. I have tried 4 Android apps and still nothing. So I wonder, how can I lock the BT audio output in order to force the audio output of my phone?

I am using a second phone to host Twitter Spaces from a branded account, so that I can speak in the event with my personal account. The branded account will never be used to speak, it is used to just host. I tried to reduce the volume on the phone used for the branded account, a Samsung Galaxy A02s, to zero. Because with any bit of volume there's a terrible feedback loop between the two phones I am using for the Space. However, the phone will not completely mute the audio. I can't mute the phone by pressing the volume down to zero. I can't turn the volume for the Twitter app to zero. I can't find any way to silence the app in settings. I am at a complete loss. How can I completely decrease the volume on the Twitter app to zero?

My Samsung S22 currently has a weird issue since a few days ago where any sound is currently only output via the ear speaker. During calls the sound output is very quiet on the ear speaker, people's voices are almost inaudible, while music and video sound are output via the ear speaker at the highest volume. There is no sound coming from the regular speakers anymore at all. I haven't (knowingly) messed around with any of the audio settings before this happened. **Outputting audio via Bluetooth speakers works just fine.** What I've tried to solve this, but to no avail, is the following: - Restart phone (several times) - Connect and disconnect Bluetooth speakers - Turn mono output on and off in the accessibility settings - Use a [Speaker Cleaner](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.speaker.cleaner.fixer.sound.booster.fixmyspeaker) app - Carefully shake phone to make sure nothing has come loose - Started device in Safe Mode, but no audio playing from speakers either I am very careful in handling my phone, it doesn't have any scratches, dents or whatsoever, because I never drop it. It's not the result of dropping the phone or hitting it hard against something. The phone is running on - Android 13.0 - One UI 5.1 - Build number TP1A.220624.014.S901BXXS6CWH6 - Security Patch from September 1st, 2023 What could be causing this? Is this a software or hardware issue?

How to adjust ring volume on built-in speaker separately from ring volume on headphones?

Currently, if I receive a call, it rings in both my (wired) headphones *and* out of my built-in speaker. I don't want rings to ever come out of my built-in speaker. I only want to hear rings in my headphones. I don't want other people to have to hear my ringer, but I want to hear it in my headphones! It seems all other audio is handled correctly. For example, if I am listening to a podcast using my headphones, no audio comes out of my built-in speaker (which is great!) Using the volume buttons only adjusts the headphones volume. If I unplug my headphones, it switches over to using the built-in speaker automatically. Moreover, changing the volume while the headphones are unplugged only adjusts the built-in speaker volume; it doesn't forget my headphones volume. This is exactly how I want my call ringer to work. Basically, I want to set my built-in speaker ring volume to be 0, and my headphones ring volume to be 100. How can I do this? I have a Moto G Power 2022 with Android 11. Edit: I'm surprised that even with a bounty, no one has any advice. Is what I want unclear? (I want the ringer to play in my headphones but **not** from my built-in speaker.) Is it really that unusual of a desire that it is impossible to accomplish? Is my problem specific to my particular phone and not Android 11? Even if you have a partial solution, please let me know what you know. I'd be happy with a solution that involves an app, as long as it fixes things.

I'm a deaf person with a Nexus 5X. I almost never want my phone emitting any kind of sound. When I had a Samsung Galaxy S4, there was a configuration option to mute all sounds independently of the various volume settings. Since then, Android has released their do-not-disturb mode. That doesn't really fit in with my usage because that ties in with the whole notification system. I want my phone to function as if it was not in the DND mode, just without sound. I looked into key remapping solutions to prevent accidental buttonpresses (phone holder, pants, whatever), but that doesn't prevent applications from changing the volume. e.g. Google Duo assumes that all videophone calls users will want audio regardless of the audio settings prior to opening the app. That absolutely makes complete sense, so that's why I'm asking for a lower-level way to disable the speaker. I did look at several muting-related questions, but those seem to be more of one-time actions - "I want to turn off sounds right now, but I'll adjust them later" So, the question is, as the title states, how to selectively stop the speaker from functioning that cannot be overridden by any app. How would I proceed to go about doing that on a Nexus 5X?

Volume gets played instantly via Motorola Edge 30 Pro's speakers at max volume when it auto connects to wireless earbuds
More often than not, when my wireless earbuds (Jabra Elite 75t) auto connects to my Motorola Edge 30 Pro, the volume gets played instantly via the phone's speakers at MAX volume. I have never experienced this specific bug earlier with different combinations of devices.

I have been using a Samsung S9 for the past three years. Recently there is a software bug that is causing a strange problem. The volume of the microphone at the top of the screen is really low for calls and audio messages. The speaker is still in perfect working condition. I tried testing the microphone by dialing the Samsung hardware test code *#0*#. For the test, the speaker is really loud and is in perfect working condition. However, when we try to use the speaker for calls and audio messages, the volume is really low. What is the reason for this? Is this planned obsolescence? Is there any way to fix this? I plan to root the phone, use Busybox, and then increase the volume level of the microphone. Can anyone please help me with this?

I have purchased a pair of **headphones** which are cheap and **too loud**. Now when listening to **media**, there's ways to reduce their amplitude, and I've **used ViPER** and liked it's performance more than the built in AudioFX (which is now frozen through Lucky Patcher). *I should mention that I've never needed audio balancers for apps, because those sounds can go quite low as required.* However, **ViPER does nothing to the in call volume**, the real thing I have a problem with. Maybe because *calls are not processed as "multimedia sounds" and hence are not linked to "audio processing drivers"(?)* All calls through the headphones are too loud to listen to. Is there a way I could **route audio from calls** (and also any audio treated as call sounds, like that in Google Meet) **to multimedia(?) drivers?** I'm guessing that'd come at the cost of *laggy performance on a 2GB RAM device*. Can I toggle some other **on call volume options instead**? Maybe through code? I am a root user (obviously) and may be willing to use Terminal if it doesn't get too complex. Thanks in advance.

Apparently there's a [petition going around for Android 9](https://www.change.org/p/android-development-team-add-option-in-android-pie-to-enable-notification-sounds-from-device-when-headset-connected) . And there's mention of an option for audio routing on Android 10, which is the one I was able to update to, but I don't seem to find the option. Is there a way to do this natively? And if not, could I use ADB to solve this? Assuming it's an Android property.
