I work in a facility where my boss asked me to see if I can locate a specific number in 2 identical locked Motorola phones because they are now deceased and there was a computer left behind. We know with almost 99% certainty that it is who they say they are but we would like to cororbererate the number of the individual in question with the # in his or her phone. And as I said before both phone owners are now deceased and there is a pin lock on each phone. Is there any suggested free forensic software available out there or another way possibly to extract the data without loss? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am trying to unlock the bootloader of a motorola moto e7 phone. Note, this is second time of this problem. I have tried by both the very first version of the stock firmware, and also by one with all the updates. The result was always the same: adb reboot bootloader works, device is visible in fastboot. But no usual fastboot command work, particularly not the unlock-related ones. Sources on the internet say the most wide spectrum of possible bullshits, including driver replacement or various devmode setting changes. What to do?

I have a Motorola ROKR E6, which is currently running MontaVista Linux. I was thinking of installing Android on it to make it usable again (and also to clear a lock code previously set on it that I completely forgot). I found how to access the bootloader, and now I'm installing the required drivers and software. But if I flash Android on it, it may brick the phone, so I'm going to be very careful while flashing Android. Do you think that installing Android on a non-Android phone like this old Motorola phone is possible?

I want to unlock the bootloader of my Moto X4 running Android 9 and get the unlock code. My computer is a Linux Mint Ideapad 3 (so should have USB-3 ports (referring to this post )). My device gets displayed when I type fastboot devices However, none of the 3 USB ports give me a response when I type fastboot oem get_unlock_data nor does the command finish. The bootloader logs say on the phone cmd: oem get_unlock_data. "**Allow bootloader get unlocked**" is enabled in developer options, and so is USB debugging. I need the unlock data to request on the Motorola page the unlock key.

I have a Moto G5 Stylus 2023 on Android 14. I **need** to be able to enter a backtick, but every Android keyboard I've tried (Unexpected Keyboard, GBoard, Hacker's Keyboard, MS SwiftKey) I use makes the backtick act as a deadkey. This happens even when I highlight text to be used as a code block (markdown) and use the app's UI to convert it to a code block, it still converts the required backtick(s) to diacritic accents. I connected a physical keyboard (USB via USB2Go cable), and the backtick still acted as a dead key. As this is affecting all keyboards similarly, I'm assuming this is some type of system-wide setting/behavior, but I can't see any setting that would control this. What am I missing here?

What should I do if a brand new Android phone is overheating?
I brought 'Moto G24 Power' smartphone 2 days back. From day one it is overheating evening when I am doing basic tasks. I brought it from Flipkart online. There is no return, only repair from service center. Is there any heating problem with this model or is it an hardware issue? What should I do?

I have been using Android auto with my Toyota Aygo 2019 ed. until 2022 on many connected devices without any problems. I have then switched to another car and stopped using Android Auto at all. Today I have come back to my old Toyota Aygo with my new phone (Motorola Moto g84) and tried to connect Android Auto. It failed completely. My car shows: > **Android Auto**: Stop your car and park it. Continue setup on your phone. In the same time my phone shows: > **Android Auto**: You are connected to your car. That's it. The above notification and a "Disconnect" button below it. No actual Andriod Auto screen (as in case of other cars), now setup steps, PIN, pair, whatever. Nothing. When I disconnect a cable between my phone and car's USB port (required in case of Toyota Aygo, no Bluetooth-only Android Auto support) then the above notification turns into "Android Auto available. Connect your phone via cable to continue". And again there is nothing to setup, configure, pair etc. It clearly looks like my Motorola would consider a connection already established and ready to go. While my Toyota detectes it as a brand new (which is true) and waits for a configuration completion on phone side. Is there anything I can do about this?

My Motorola One Hyper phone starts, finishes the boot animation, then I unlock it with the PIN number, then it opens and there is the problem. It stays on for about 5 to 10 seconds where I can use it, and then a black screen covers whatever I'm doing that says it is resetting to factory reset and restarting. It loads for a few seconds and reboots. When it starts, it goes directly to recover where it shows me only two options. 1) Restart 2) Factory reset I need to access the data on the phone before I can factory reset. I don't care about saving the current installation, but before resetting, I need to extract my data. I would like to be able to explore the phone before a factory reset. I can use the phone "normally" for those few seconds it turns on, I can access menus and enable or disable options (I could manage to enter developer mode). I tried safe mode but it is the same. I tried the Rescue and Smart Assistant tool, but it also requires the phone to be on the main screen and with the app opened and that is precisely my issue. Any input or suggestion on how to access the data or what to try would be appreciated. Since I don't know if the device is rooted nor I have done anything of the sort, I assume it is not. Maybe even a process I can stop or something to just be able to keep the phone on enough to browse the files and then factory reset or reinstall or update firmware.

Firstly, I have found a similar question here (), but no answer there seemed to solve the behavior. I am experiencing the same sort of problem that seems to be affecting multiple Motorola One Hyper in my country and abroad. The phone boots, stays on for about 10 seconds, then automatically restarts, prompting a factory reset, which I do not want do do, given that there are many personal files still inside the phone. During this brief period of time, I can see my files there, which is why I'm asking this question. I don't really care about the phone anymore, it had its day already and I am willing to break it down entirely if needed, the only thing I want to do is to have one clean boot or method to access my files and transfer them to another storage. Any tips on what I could try, or where I could start to make things work? Thank you very much in advance.

I only ever immediately uninstall them when I notice them without even considering if I might actually like the game or whatever it is. (My wife has the same model and this never happens to her. I suspect because she didn't go poking around the phone and accidentally switching things on.)

My Motorola Moto G40 Fusion (3 years old) has been showing connectivity issues with WiFi and Bluetooth recently. The WiFi automatically disconnects and turns off after 30-40 minutes of usage, and if try to turn it on, the button slides off with all the previously connected WiFi networks including my home router disappearing. Same issue with Bluetooth also. When I restart my phone, it turns back on but turns off automatically after some time. Have tried all measures including resetting WiFi and Bluetooth. Finally tried formatting my phone with the help of Moto desktop client hoping the issue would resolve, but after some hours the issue came back. Someone look upon this problem.

I recently downgraded my Android on Moto G60 (I downloaded ROM from some websites) because my phone screen was sometimes not working which upon locking and unlocking the phone made the screen work again, so I thought downgrading might help. The phone was working fine until a few weeks ago when I had to restart the phone for some reason and the phone was showing that the bootloader was unlocked and the phone's sensitive data might be attacked if I didn't lock it. Image > No valid operating system could be found. > The device will not boot. > > For more information, visit our support forum: > support.motorola.com I watched a tutorial on YouTube and connected my phone to my PC and then proceeded to lock the bootloader. After that, I tried to restart my phone, but it didn't start anymore and it shows this on the screen. The recovery mode doesn't work and also I tried to unlock the bootloader once again but I couldn't. I tried to use Rescue and Smart Assistant, but it says "The connected device does not match the shipping software values expected and Rescue cannot run". I took my phone to a service center and they said that they couldn't help me. (P.S. My phone is not rooted)

I have a Moto G9 Plus that is stuck in a bootloop. I’ve tried flashing the stock firmware multiple times without success, and I cannot boot into recovery or use a custom recovery ROM since none is installed. My phone's bootloader is currently locked. I’ve obtained the unlock code from Motorola's official website and am seeking a way to unlock it so I can flash a custom ROM like LineageOS. After researching potential solutions, I found that it might be possible to remove the memory storage from the motherboard and access the **persist partition** using an *UFI device* and an *eMMC toolkit*. Given this, I’m wondering if modifying the OEM_UNLOCK flag in the persist partition could bypass the "OEM Unlock" feature, allowing me to unlock my bootloader through fastboot. If possible, would this approach break any security measures defined in the **vbmeta partition**? Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated!
