I've been play this game TopHeroes and I noticed that when I press the side button to lock my phone and then go to unlock it again, it displays itself over the lock screen (similar to Google Maps). I contacted their support and got told it was an Andriod update that caused this. However, doing some googling, it seems this issue is more than a year old (as seen on their discord help and reddit). Some reseach would suggest android.permission.WAKE_LOCK might cause this behavior. But if ya'll have a better idea of what "andriod update" or "andriod setting" I need to adjust, that would be helpful.

I have a Samsung Galaxy 25+ running Android 15. I used to use 'Hey Google' (I do not know how this is properly called) with unlocked and locked screens on this and previous phones. After "something" (Android upgrade? switch to Gemini?) **I cannot have Google Assistant answer when the screen is locked anymore**. The answer from the phone is (more or less, I use the French version) *"I can do that but first you will need to unlock your phone"*. I went through all the settings, the voice match procedure (twice) and I have enabled on the phone everything that is required This screenshot shows that the Assistant can access personal data This one states that the functionalities of Google Assistant are available on the locked device It states that in order to gain access to the Assistant when it is locked (yes, I do not understand either), I must match my voice and enable *Hey Google*. Which is the case: So WTF is missing?? The settings are super difficult to find, I manage to get to them via some weird searches but never step by step. There may be something else I need to enable that I did not find - but where?

I am using Lineageos 17.1 on the FP3 (the phone is not rooted). I do know my screen pattern code (it is a 6x6 pattern), but I am not able to enter it correctly, because I disabled that the pattern is shown and that the sequence is visible. In the recovery mode I can enable adb and I tried to delete the file adb shell rm /data/system/gesture.key which worked in the past, but now this file does not exist anymore on Lineageos 17.1. ADB unfortunately does not work when the screen is locked. Is there another way to bypass the screen pattern? Doing a factory reset is the last option I want to do. Making the pattern visible should be enough in principle.

I have Hisense AD686G running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. I can't pull the status bar down in any type of lock screen (slide, pattern, PIN, etc). I know almost all ICS phones out there have this feature, strangely my phone doesn't. How do I enable the status bar dragging on the lock screen?

Every since my Galaxy S4 phone was upgraded to Android 4.3 (Verizon), I have had a problem disabling the swipe lock screen. I go to Settings -> My Device -> Lock Screen -> Screen Lock: - If I set the option to 'Swipe', I get the swipe lock screen, as expected. - If I set the option to 'None', I **still** get the swipe lock screen. - If I set the option to 'PIN', I get the swipe lock screen **and** the PIN lock screen. (It is annoying to unlock the phone, and more so when I receive a call.) I test this by using the power key. Is there a bug in the software or is there no legitimate way to disable the very annoying swipe lock / swipe lock screen? Is there a 3rd party way to allow a PIN lock without having a swipe lock as well?

I am unable to remove the pattern lock on my Moto G 2 because the none option is greyed out and a message saying 'Disabled by administrator, encryption policy or credential storage'. I have already tried having all accessibility settings off as suggested by other members here. Please help.

Just switched from iPhone to my Note10 and I love it. However what drives me crazy is that I get tons of system notifications that all pool in the Notification bar. However, to be honest I only really want to see personal notifications there, like messages and so on, System Notifications better only if I request to see them. How do I separate system notifications and message notifications? Also how do I specify different sounds, so I hear if it's a WhatsApp or Insta or Facebook ... Also, how do I make these notifications appear on the locked screen, like they do on the iPhone?

I placed a password on my phone from the online android device manager. I was just testing it out, and now I can't remove it. I keep reading go to settings > security > screen lock but that is not an option on my phone. I can remove android device manager from my device administrators, and under the password section the only option is to make passwords visible. I have always had a password on my phone but I do not want this type of password on my phone. Please help!

Is there any way to disable the quick settings panel on the lockscreen on Android 12 and 11? I want to disable it, just like it used to be on the older Android versions. If I cannot the disable it, can it be abused if my phone is lost or stolen?

My daughter has changed her lock screen password. Didn't write it down. And had forgotten it. And so her phone is locked. What I observe is: * After restart, she's been asked a code. I can't find anyway to reset that code. * Her phone is connected to the web. I can see today's date on the Family Link page for her account. * I cannot find a way to switch from user on her phone (i.e. logging with my own account) * Stopping and Restarting the device is not possible. The phone remains on that lock screen. Only a hard-shutdown is possible (Volume up/Volume down/Power during a few seconds). * The phone doesn't ring when I ask it to ring from the Family Link page. I tried various ways to connect to the phone : * The procedures with *Find My Device* don't work, because : * When I connect to Google with my own account, I cannot switch to her account, and hence don't see her phone as candidate phone to work on. * When I connect with her account, she has no rights to use that application. * The Family Link page provides a 6-digits code that changes every hour supposedly providing access to the phone. It doesn't. The phone keeps saying invalid password. * The Family Link page lets define a new lock screen password. Defining a new password doesn't help despite a hard restart of the phone. What are my options now ? A hard reset of the phone is acceptable. But even that I don't succeed to do. ---- PS: The phone is a Samsung A03

I work in a facility where my boss asked me to see if I can locate a specific number in 2 identical locked Motorola phones because they are now deceased and there was a computer left behind. We know with almost 99% certainty that it is who they say they are but we would like to cororbererate the number of the individual in question with the # in his or her phone. And as I said before both phone owners are now deceased and there is a pin lock on each phone. Is there any suggested free forensic software available out there or another way possibly to extract the data without loss? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just bought a new Xiaomi 14t phone, which came with HyperOs installed and which I want to use with both my personal and work accounts. Both of these are Gmail/Google accounts. I have therefore set up Xiaomi's second space and tried to use my work email as the second space's main account. This isn't working, the account seems to be added but I get a notification with: > Account action required > > my.email@my.company.com Tapping the notification does nothing, but when I go to Settings -> Google -> Manage account, I get: > Something went wrong. > > Some info may be out of date. I have set a lock screen password on both spaces (main and "second space") so why isn't this working? Is there something else I need to do to "set a lock screen"?

I have a Samsung Galaxy A30S. I added a screen lock PIN code and can't remember it. The airplane mode is activated and I cannot turn it off, cause it's asking for PIN. I don't want to do a hard or factory reset since I have very important memories of photos and phone numbers in it. Please Help.

Android 14+ allows a QR code scanner to be added to the lock screen (at least on Pixel devices). On a Pixel phone that does not have a SIM and has not yet been connected the the Internet (thus has no Google account), that lock screen QR code reader behaves oddly. When its on-screen button is held down, it just flashes the QR code reader momentarily, and then goes back to the Android lock screen. No QR codes can be read. The phone has been factory reset, and the same issue persists. At this time, adding a SIM or connecting to the Internet is not desired. Is this the expected behaviour, or does the device likely have a problem?

1. Where does Google save my screen lock password as it asks me to verify my Google account by entering it? 2. That means Google knows my screen lock password. 3. Where can I find that password in my Google account or from Google?

I just upgraded my Samsung Galaxy S10e to Android 11 (One UI 3.0), and the lock screen PIN buttons have changed appearance. |Before|After| |-|-| ||| Before, the lock-screen PIN had something with square buttons, except they were larger & took up the whole middle of the lock screen. Now, they are shifted up, smaller (circular with spaces between them), and less responsive. This seems like a terrible idea from a UX standpoint- completely messing up my muscle-memory; now every time I try to log in to my phone, I screw up the PIN at least twice, and it's very annoying. When I try to look up this issue, most of the responses will be about changing my PIN lock method to a password/pattern, etc., lock method, or changing the PIN itself. Those Q&As I've found addressing the appearance/behavior of the lock screen tend to say it's inbuilt to the system & nothing you can do except for really cracking your phone software. I also don't see anything in Accessibility options, but maybe I'm missing something. Any ideas, or is this really something I'm going to have to put up with?

My child forgot her lock screen PIN and I use Family Link, but I can't figure out how to get into it or reset the PIN through the app. What are my options?

I downloaded a photo from facebook, and set it as the wallpaper on my phone, then decided I wanted to remove it again. The problem is, I have not yet been able to find a way to delete photos from the wallpaper and lock screen selection. I can understand that they might not want me deleting the stock ones, but it seems there is also no way to delete the ones I loaded. I am on the Oneplus 3T, if that makes any difference. Also, I deleted the photo from the downloads folder, but it still remains there as an option for a wallpaper or lock screen.
