Forgot screen lock PIN, airplane mode on
I have a Samsung Galaxy A30S. I added a screen lock PIN code and can't remember it. The airplane mode is activated and I cannot turn it off, cause it's asking for PIN. I don't want to do a hard or factory reset since I have very important memories of photos and phone numbers in it. Please Help.

**Context**, in case anyone believes I'm trying to do this for nefarious purposes. I have a Samsung Galaxy A12 running Android 11. Long story short, two years ago I shattered my phone's screen, I was already planning to change up the phone so, yes I was a little bummed out.
Recently, I fixed the screen. I wanted to access some old files that I had in there, but I can't remember the password. It's a fairly long password, so it wouldn't be easy to remember after 2 years.
I decided that maybe I can try to recover some videos and pictures, but apparently I didn't have USB debugging on in the past, or maybe it disabled on its own. It should have Dev options on though.
I went to recovery mode and tried to
mount /system
, but it also gives me
failed to open /dev/block/dm-0 no such file or directory
mounted /system
and even after spamming it to the point it just says **mounted /system**.
When I type
adb pull /data/property/persist.sys.usb.config ~/
it just says
adb: error: failed to get feature set: no devices/emulators found
I have also tried to switch USB ports, but nothing.
Overall, I'm confused, don't know what I'm doing anymore, much less how to fix things.

I have a Samsung A13 phone that has been used, but have no PIN code. The phone is turned on, but locked. To reset the phone I need to shut it down, but to shut it down I need the PIN.
The battery is at 100%. I want to fix this before tomorrow. (I could turn on the flashlight, so I'm doing that to drain the battery.)
This unlockjournal about the A13 mentions that I repeat entering the PIN to get alternative options to unlock the phone. The only thing that happens is that I get a 30 second time out.
---
**Update**
As @Robert suggested, I could restart the phone after holding Power + Volume Up + Volume Down for about half a minute. Then I could restart in Boot menu while holding Power + Volume Up. Then I did a factory reset and rebooted.
Guess what! The PIN is still needed, so this is not a reset to factory settings. Wiping the cache partition didn't make a difference.
Samsung knows the phone and expects an ID of some kind. It offers the option to login using a previously used Google account, but what if that is not possible?
**Question**
How do I reset the PIN?

I have my daughter's Pixel 1 set up with **Family Link**. It should be running Android 10 I believe.
Recently I changed her screen lock password via my linked Parent Phone. I forgot to tell her and since she usually logs in using her fingerprint, she didn't notice the change until she had to restart her phone a month later, which enforces unlocking with her password.
Unfortunately, I forgot the new password in the meantime. If I see this correctly,
- I cannot unlock the phone using my Parent Account after the reboot, right?
- Also, since the phone has not fully booted without the initial unlock, I cannot change the password using the Family Link app because that has not started yet. I mean, I can change the password on my, it just doesn't change anything on hers.
I tried the suggestion here: https://android.stackexchange.com/questions/214394/how-to-reset-a-kids-forgotten-phone-lock-screen-password , but my daughter's phone does not have Find My Device installed.
Any ideas? The last resort would be to factory reset but I would like to avoid data loss. I think I had the phone set up for Developer Options last time I was able to access it. So if there is a way to do it with ADB or something I might try that although I would like to avoid the installation trouble if there is another way.
It would already help me to verify whether I am right in assuming that the initial boot unlock runs before the Family Link app or whether I may have made a mistake somewhere else. I am wondering whether something else is going on since the login itself seems buggy (I can enter the password once, but then the phone does not give me a keyboard for a second try, so I need to reboot again).

I have an old (unlocked, I think) Alcatel AT&T-branded phone that I have not used for years. I charged it up and reset it to factory with the Vol-Down + Start and booted.
I was greeted with "This phone is connected to an existing email account". I entered the account ...@gmail.com and Google asked for the last password I remembered. I added that in, yes, still had it.
After about a minute, it came back with "That email account has been deleted and we need more information." But it does not say what or how to continue. I never deleted that account and actually have never used the email. I had to create a Google account years back when I got the phone. I do not have any other Google (and never will) account, so they seem to own MY phone.
How can I get this working?

I have an issue where this alleged waterproof phone's power button starts malfunctioning when in contact with the slightest hint of moisture. This is a horrible in combination with the fact that Samsung XCover 5 will start calling an emergency hotline if power button is pressed 5 times in a row. This feature cannot be disabled or mapped to different key. Really stupid decision if you ask me.
With my broken phone trying to call ambulance multiple times a day, sometimes even at night, I have been removing its battery a lot. Today after a few restarts I got a notification saying I need to enter phone password to login to my work profile (Gmail, calendar etc). I entered it, presumably wrong, and the login window said to try again in 24 hours. This was my first attempt in that window. When I locked the screen I found out this timer applies to lock screen as well.
I need the phone tomorrow. I have access to the Google account the phone is associated it. Is there anything I can do to remove the timeout?

This is a follow-up question to https://android.stackexchange.com/q/230996/202005 . Basically, I intend to somehow use this command to remove the lock screen:
adb sideload customROM.zip
But, the
customROM.zip
should be something like described [here](https://www.isrgrajan.com/how-to-enable-usb-debugging-in-android-using-recovery-mode.html) to enable USB debugging. The problem is, those steps are incomplete:
> **Steps to Enable USB Debugging Using Recovery Mode**
>
> * Unzip the stock ROM.
> * Within the extracted folder, you will find the **system.img** well extract it too using Ext4 Unpacker
> * Also, extract the **Update-SuperSU.v1.65.zip** file.
> * Now open the folder where you have extracted the **system.img** files
> * Grab any **.apk** file from this folder and change the extension from **.apk** to **.zip**
> * And Copy the **RSA Certificated** to the **Update-SuperSU.v1.65** folder (delete previous files if exist)
> * Also, copy the **build.prop** to the system folder located within **Update-SuperSU.v1.65** folder
> * Locate the **update-script** file within this folder and edit it using **Notepad++**
> * You need to update the **build.prop** file after adding the following line at the bottom
> persist.service.adb.enable=1

> * Which can be done by adding the following code to the update-script file
> sqlite3 /data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/settings.db "UPDATE global SET value=1 WHERE name='adb_enabled'"
>
> Cheers! You have Enabled USB Debugging
> Now you can install your custom or stock ROM using ADB – USB Debugging
Although the above steps seem **incomplete**, they look convincing that there might be a way to modify a stock ROM to enable USB debugging by:
adb sideload modified-stock-ROM-which-just-enables-USB-debugging-and-does-nothing-else.zip
Is there any better explanation than [those steps](https://www.isrgrajan.com/how-to-enable-usb-debugging-in-android-using-recovery-mode.html) ?

I have an Android device as following:
- Manufacturer: Autel
- Model: MaxiCheck MX808 Automotive scanner tablet
- Firmware Version: 1.0
I forgot the screen lock password.
I communicated with Autel Tech Support on http://www.autel.com/ and they sent me a flash file and steps on how to flash, but I did not succeed. While I started ADB.exe, I got "Error unauthorized device".
So please assist in resolving the issue.
Ok steps I got from the support as follows
MK Format Device Compulsively
#### Set up Computer Circumstances
1. Install RK driver - Open the folder
RK_DriverAssitant
, run Driverintall.exe, following the on-screen prompts to install the driver.
2. Install Google-USB driver Some computers may need to install this driver. Open the folder Google-USB_driver
; If your computer OS is 32-bit, run DPInst32.exe
and if your computer OS is 64-bit, run DPInst64.exe
. If you have already installed this driver before, please go directly to next step.
#### Reflash the Device
Attention:This procedure will format your device and will delete the data on your device.
3. Run Reflashing ToolOpen the folder AndroidTool_Release_v2.1
, run AndroidTool.exe
, the reflashing window will be displayed as shown in the figure below.
4. Turn Your Device into Reflashing Mode Connect your device to computer with USB cable and wait until the computer recognizes the device. You can check the connection status via Device Manager on your computer. As it is shown in the red mark on the figure below, the device was already recognized by the computer.
5. Ready to reflash:
Double click on the script named
reboot to loader.bat

On my rooted 4.0.3 tablet running a custom ROM, my lock screen is set with a numeric PIN. If I input it incorrectly five times or more, it locks itself and I can't enter any more passwords.
I'm not offered the option to enter my Google account password to bypass this, although I have configured a Google account on the device.
I want to activate the "I forgot" button in order to enter my Google Account credentials. Is it possible?

According to [another post](https://android.stackexchange.com/a/197443/202005) , looks like it is possible to use [TWRP for Samsung Galaxy A8 2018](https://twrp.me/samsung/samsunggalaxya82018.html) to clear the screen lock. So, I have downloaded the following
Now I plan to install TWRP on phone by the following command and then follow the [previous post](https://android.stackexchange.com/a/197443/202005) :

### Questions
Now, before doing so, I have these questions:
* Is it possible to install *.apk
packages by adb sideload
? Is there any possibility that it would mess up the phone?
* What else can I do with adb sideload
to clear the screen lock?
* What else can be done with adb sideload
to back up the phone camera images and videos without wiping the data?
Thanks =)

Recently, I updated my Infinix Hot 20i, and I encountered the following issue. The phone took a long time to update, and upon rebooting, it prompted me to enter the graphical key on the unlock screen.
I have a very simple pattern lock that I have not forgotten. However, when I enter the correct pattern, the phone thinks for about five seconds and then says that the pattern is incorrect. If I enter an incorrect pattern right away, it immediately shows an error.
Could you advise me on how to resolve this situation without losing my data, as I do not have a backup?

I tried to access with ADB, but from recovery, I can only use ADB Sideload. I tried to install different versions of aromafm.zip from recovery, but J3 2016 gave me an error, so I abandoned this option too.
Any suggestions for me to recover user data?

I've made the mistake of putting an emoji character (❌) in my unlock pin. This usually works fine, but after the last time I restarted my phone, the two keyboards I have installed on my phone refuse to show the emoji keyboard on the lock screen. This makes it impossible to type in my password :(
I've got an external keyboard, but after reading some HID documentation I can't seem to find a way to enter this character. I found some solace with the special charcodes
\uef00
/\uef01
, which would allow me to input something, but they don't seem to work; they're mapped to x+shift+alt and space+capslock, but they don't seem have their intended effect, even on another phone I have lying around (although with \uef01
, I see something going on at the bottom of the screen pop up, but it doesn't let me input anything...)
Do people have any other suggestions? I don't have USB debugging on :(

I have switched on my old Huawei Honor phone after a long gap. On the screen, I have a message stating below

I have given the pattern that I remember giving when I used to use it, but then it doesn't get unlocked, and it says incorrect pattern. I tried various other patterns, but they didn't work.
Can anyone help unlock my phone without losing data?
