I have a problem with my Samsung Galaxy Tab S SM-T700 (WiFi) that I couldn't solve even after a lot of googling. - Main Problem: It won't boot after I did some software updates (stuck on the Samsung logo) - Complications: Retail mode (MDM does not allow factory reset) The data on the device is not important, it would be no problem to lose it if I could somehow do a factory reset. I tried re-flashing with the stock ROM, but it still won't boot and still is in retail mode (actually, it "half-booted" once immediately after the flash, the OS started just to tell me it's not working and "has been quit"). Any ideas? Is it actually possible that there is no way to revive it?

Even remounting the partition to rw will tamper block verification!! The guide does not elaborate on this further. It sounds like this is the case for stock ROMs, but it does not say. I use LineageOS, which is an A/B partition scheme.

Recently, I updated my Infinix Hot 20i, and I encountered the following issue. The phone took a long time to update, and upon rebooting, it prompted me to enter the graphical key on the unlock screen. I have a very simple pattern lock that I have not forgotten. However, when I enter the correct pattern, the phone thinks for about five seconds and then says that the pattern is incorrect. If I enter an incorrect pattern right away, it immediately shows an error. Could you advise me on how to resolve this situation without losing my data, as I do not have a backup?

I have Android 7.0 and I'm trying to upgrade it to Android 8 or 9 because some apps require that as the minimum version. The problem now is I feel like my phone has stopped receiving updates from the manufacturer so I want to know if it is possible to manually upgrade it through ADB (or something) with my laptop. When I check the phone's software updater it says there are no upgrades and it's the latest version but we both know that isn't true, so I'm trying to forcefully upgrade it. My phone is T-Mobile and the model is 5049W **Edit:** It doesn't even seem like there's a custom ROM/recovery for this particular model of T-Mobile.

This is a device that I use for development tasks, I don't go to random websites on it, I don't install unknown apps, I never use it away from my trusted home WiFi network, etc.)* However Google seems hellbent on making me upgrade. Every few days I get a popup message (shown below) asking me to "restart now to finish the update." **I get this popup even though I have "automatic system updates" turned OFF in Developer Settings, and even though I have Google Play Services notifications turned OFF.** Is there any way to stop this message from appearing? this popup message

I'm currently using a **Galaxy A15 4G** and I've run into a bit of a snag trying to figure out the correct **CSC (Country Specific Code)**. When I navigate to the Software Information section under Service provider software version, I see the following details:
Service provider software version
SAOMC_SM-A155F_OJM_MID_14_0004
MID/MID,MID/XSG
However, when I check for OTA updates, the URL displayed is: https://doc.samsungmobile.com/SM-A155F/MID/doc.html . To add to the confusion, when I used samfw.com to check the CSC, it indicated that the CSC was TUR instead of MID. I'm a bit lost here. Could anyone please clarify which one is the correct CSC? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Is it possible to upgrade Pixel 4a to Android 14?
My dayjob wants me to upgrade for security reasons. The System Update portion of the settings app isn't offering it to me, but web searches seem to indicate that it's an option. Does anybody know for sure, and if so, how?

The gist of it is that I use LineageOS for the Samsung S9 and I use Magisk. Every time the system updates the root is removed, so my question is - does anyone know of any persistent way to get a persistent root? Apparently AddonSU.zip has been dropped and from my surface research, the answers are very underwhelming. I mean re-adding Magisk is not the end of the world but I really would like it if it were to get stuck around every time the OS updates... BTW, I would like the long answer of why it happens. I have the vaguest idea that every update overwrites the boot partition or image where Magisk injects itself during boot. But I would like a somewhat in-depth explanation of how Magisk does its thing and why the updates screw it up.

Now after few years, I have started using it again. It worked fine for few days, but now after few months, during YouTube video (which I use it mostly for) it just randomly tries to update without any cancel button, turns off with the DRIOD icon tries to update then the recovery screen appears telling, update aborted, turn off the device. How can I fix this? Or at least simply disable the auto system update? v=snap

Cannot update Android version on my Oukitel RT3 after unrooting it

It's been a while since I've rooted my Oukitel RT3. After seeing that an update was available, I unrooted it so I could install it without any problem. The only problem is that it says this: > ### Couldn't update > Installation problem > > **V07_20230215 to V10_20230711** > > **Update size: 43.91 MB** Original screenshot I think it's because I swapped the Magisk patched boot image with the system one, but the version of the ROM on the Oukitel website was outdated. So, my device shows that the ROM version is V07_20230215 (the actual ROM with the boot image needed, but can't find it on the internet) but on the website, the latest available is V05_20221117 (which is the one I took the boot image from), and the one I have to update to is V10_20230711. Maybe I followed the wrong steps to unroot it, can anyone help?

I updated my Lenovo A2010-a to the latest version (Android 5.1): I just clicked on a message that says "You have a new update. Update has downloaded and can be installed" then it opened a new window. On that window, I click on the button "install", then the phone rebooted and was updating (showing a green Android icon). The battery was in normal condition (not low). After that, the phone booted normally. After updating, I have an error on all applications installed on my phone. Error for all applications in one separate window, one after one. With text like this (translated from Russian to English) > Error in application "Google Keyboard" What I can do to resolve that problem?

Does anyone recollect from a year ago what the experience was if you're either on or opted into the Google Pixel Android 12 QPR program, and you opted into the Android 13 Beta 1, did you get an OTA directly from QPR Beta to 13 Beta 1? For now, I've been advising users to opt out of the QPR2 Beta, but don't take the OTA until the Stable QPR2 one comes for their device and then once on that, opt into the Android 14 Beta 1 when it's available, just to be safe. I'm aware the Android 13 QPR2 has gone Stable for all appropriate Pixel phones, except for all the Pixel 6 series, which I've heard will arrive on March 20, but that's third-hand information. I don't know if a QPR Beta -> major Android Beta (without going to stable in between) would force a wipe in between or not. We all know it hopefully "shouldn't", but I'm looking for someone who knows for sure. Thanks!

Is there any way to disable automatic Android updates (for the OS, not apps) on an unrooted Samsung S22 running Android 13? I bought it through T-Mobile, and it's really driving me insane. The phone's overall performance is fine, but T-Mobile (not Samsung, the updates are explicitly T-Mobile-branded) forces Microsoft-eske automatic OS updates on me several times a week, which disables the phone for hours until I manually unlock it and it "finishes installing updates". I tried some obvious solutions suggested on various blogs, like disabling Settings->Software update->Auto download over Wi-fi, but these options are either removed (thanks T-Mobile) or have no effect. I use this phone for work as well as my personal alarm and for meeting notifications. Due to these updates, I've overslept when my alarms and meeting reminders don't start. I refuse to accept that a $900 phone has to be less capable than a $5 alarm clock.
