If you click "More ways to veridy", Google's 2-factor-authentication has an option to enter a code for account access, but [build BP3A.250905.014

Before *Android OS 16*'s last update (to build #
BP3A.250905.014
), Home settings
had Allow home screen rotation
(if enabled, this uses the accelerometer so that home is vertical if the phone is vertical, or horizontal if the phone is horizontal.
- This was the sole option that allowed you to hide the *Google* search bar; if you disabled the *Google* app and enabled this option, then when your phone is horizontal, the *Google* search bar does not show.

But BP3A.250905.014
replaces this option with Landscape mode
(which is a permanent on/off switch).
- It is now not possible to hide the *Google* search bar unless you replace the stock launcher (such as with *Nova Launcher*, which is not recommended). With the new Landscape mode
, even with the *Google* app disabled and the phone horizontal, the *Google* search bar shows.

How to restore the old home view?

Before BP3A.250905.014

` to switch through all of the current apps. How to restore this?
Do you have to undo the update (roll back to the old version) to restore +
switches? Have the stock *Android OS* (not [**AOSP**](https://source.android.com/)) ; is it possible to go back to the old version, or do you have to return such defective devices and purchase new?
Can not include photos of the current apps list since (as of BP3A.250905.014
) the +
combo is broken in the apps list (the combo just shows the volume tooltip unless you release ` (but releasing
closes the current apps list)). A previous "update" broke the physical screenshot buttons on Bluetooth keyboards, which (as of
BP3A.250905.014`) are still broken (still can not use).

I have a problem with my Samsung Galaxy Tab S SM-T700 (WiFi) that I couldn't solve even after a lot of googling.
- Main Problem: It won't boot after I did some software updates (stuck on the Samsung logo)
- Complications: Retail mode (MDM does not allow factory reset)
The data on the device is not important, it would be no problem to lose it if I could somehow do a factory reset.
I tried re-flashing with the stock ROM, but it still won't boot and still is in retail mode (actually, it "half-booted" once immediately after the flash, the OS started just to tell me it's not working and "has been quit").
Any ideas? Is it actually possible that there is no way to revive it?

The guide does not elaborate on this further. It sounds like this is the case for stock ROMs, but it does not say. I use LineageOS, which is an A/B partition scheme.

Recently, I updated my Infinix Hot 20i, and I encountered the following issue. The phone took a long time to update, and upon rebooting, it prompted me to enter the graphical key on the unlock screen.
I have a very simple pattern lock that I have not forgotten. However, when I enter the correct pattern, the phone thinks for about five seconds and then says that the pattern is incorrect. If I enter an incorrect pattern right away, it immediately shows an error.
Could you advise me on how to resolve this situation without losing my data, as I do not have a backup?

I have Android 7.0 and I'm trying to upgrade it to Android 8 or 9 because some apps require that as the minimum version.
The problem now is I feel like my phone has stopped receiving updates from the manufacturer so I want to know if it is possible to manually upgrade it through ADB (or something) with my laptop.
When I check the phone's software updater it says there are no upgrades and it's the latest version but we both know that isn't true, so I'm trying to forcefully upgrade it.
My phone is T-Mobile and the model is 5049W
**Edit:** It doesn't even seem like there's a custom ROM/recovery for this particular model of T-Mobile.

I have a Pixel 2 XL that I MUST keep on Android 10 for various reasons. *(Yes, I am aware of the implications of doing this. This is a device that I use for development tasks, I don't go to random websites on it, I don't install unknown apps, I never use it away from my trusted home WiFi network, etc.)* However Google seems hellbent on making me upgrade. Every few days I get a popup message (shown below) asking me to "restart now to finish the update." **I get this popup even though I have "automatic system updates" turned OFF in Developer Settings, and even though I have Google Play Services notifications turned OFF.** Is there any way to stop this message from appearing?

I'm currently using a **Galaxy A15 4G** and I've run into a bit of a snag trying to figure out the correct **CSC (Country Specific Code)**.
When I navigate to the
Software Information
section under Service provider software version
, I see the following details:
Service provider software version
SAOMC_SM-A155F_OJM_MID_14_0004
MID/MID,MID/XSG
However, when I check for OTA updates, the URL displayed is: https://doc.samsungmobile.com/SM-A155F/MID/doc.html
.
To add to the confusion, when I used samfw.com
to check the CSC, it indicated that the CSC was TUR

.
I'm a bit lost here. Could anyone please clarify which one is the correct CSC? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance!

The gist of it is that I use LineageOS for the Samsung S9 and I use Magisk. Every time the system updates the root is removed, so my question is - does anyone know of any persistent way to get a persistent root?
Apparently
AddonSU.zip
has been dropped and from my surface research, the answers are very underwhelming. I mean re-adding Magisk is not the end of the world but I really would like it if it were to get stuck around every time the OS updates...
BTW, I would like the long answer of why it happens. I have the vaguest idea that every update overwrites the boot partition or image where Magisk injects itself during boot. But I would like a somewhat in-depth explanation of how Magisk does its thing and why the updates screw it up.

I have an Android TV Box (MXQ-4K) Android/rk322x_box/. This device is on Android 6 and I bought it online; it came pre-rooted. It worked fine and then I stopped using it.
Now after few years, I have started using it again. It worked fine for few days, but now after few months, during YouTube video (which I use it mostly for) it just randomly tries to update without any cancel button, turns off with the DRIOD icon tries to update then the recovery screen appears telling, update aborted, turn off the device.
How can I fix this? Or at least simply disable the auto system update?
