I'm currently using a **Galaxy A15 4G** and I've run into a bit of a snag trying to figure out the correct **CSC (Country Specific Code)**. When I navigate to the Software Information section under Service provider software version, I see the following details:
Service provider software version
SAOMC_SM-A155F_OJM_MID_14_0004
MID/MID,MID/XSG
However, when I check for OTA updates, the URL displayed is: https://doc.samsungmobile.com/SM-A155F/MID/doc.html . To add to the confusion, when I used samfw.com to check the CSC, it indicated that the CSC was TUR instead of MID. I'm a bit lost here. Could anyone please clarify which one is the correct CSC? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

I am trying to access my Zenfone Go's fastboot in order to unlock its bootloader, but it seems to have been replaced with something called "CSC Fastboot mode". In this mode, I just see the ASUS logo, a "CSC Fastboot Mode!" text, and I am unable to enter any input. It looks like this: <img src=" class="img-fluid rounded" style="max-width: 100%; height: auto; margin: 10px 0;" loading="lazy"> Since I cannot enter any input, most communication with fastboot.exe is impossible. I somehow managed to have fastboot.exe correctly detect the device, but any command that requires confirmation on the phone is impossible (ex: fastboot flashing unlock), fastboot.exe just waits forever. I tried inputting the commands on the phone anyway, in case there was an invisible menu or something, but didn't work. What I tried: - Turning off my phone, then "Power Button + Volume Up Button" until it restarts. It goes directly to CSC Fastboot Mode. - Turning off my phone, then "Power Button + Volume Down Button" until it restarts. It goes into Recovery Mode. Then I select "reboot to bootloader". It goes to CSC Fastboot Mode. - Accessing my phone through adb, and using the "reboot-bootloader" command. It goes to CSC Fastboot Mode. What is CSC Fastboot mode? What is it caused by? And how to reach a usable fastboot menu? **Model Number:** ASUS_X013DB **Android Version:** 5.1.1 **Build Number:** LMY47V.JP_Phone-13.0209.1705.116-20170621044040677_2015122901270020000400001

Will flashing the stock firmware using HOME_CSC instead of CSC restore all app settings, specifically the encrypted configuration file /data/system/packages.xml? Motivation: If an unrooted Android device is soft-bricked by accidentally uninstalling critical system apps from user space (and hence modifying packages.xml), is there any practical way of restoring the secured packages.xml file to the stock version without wiping all data? *UPDATE:* There is some additional confusion. It seems unclear what exactly pm uninstall from the ADB shell does, i.e. which files get modified (see here and here ). Is it packages.xml or package-restrictions.xml or both?

My phone origin is the UK and I am in Sri Lanka now. My phone modemst1, modemst2 were reset and also I forgot to backup.
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/modemst1

dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/modemst2
After reset it has asked to unlock the network. I've tried many solutions such as flashing stock ROM of UK before I had custom rom(arrow os), zx3 tool pro. I could not do it. I don't plan to buy a code since I think, It can be recovered. I think it can be done via modifying the CSC file since it is specific to geographical region and carriers and it contains the software packages specific to that region, carrier branding and APN setting but I don't have enough knowledge to modify the CSC file. Another possible solution may be flashing the living country CSC file but I could not find CSC file only for my j5nlte phone with Sri Lanka. Can anyone suggest how to modify the CSC file or **provide any solutions to unlock the network in my device**? Thanks in advance.........

I bought a Samsung Galaxy on an auction website, with no clear indication of where it comes from. Now, to root the device or restore it, I need its **Country Specific Code**. **Question:** How do I find the CSC of my device? # What I tried 1. Installed the Phone Info SAM app by vndnguyen. 2. Ran it (works even without root). 3. Opened the CSC CODE tab. - Product Code ends with TPA (Panama) - Firmware's CSC Code is DBT (Germany) - Active CSC Code is TPA - Available CSC Codes lists about a hundred codes. Some website claims to find your CSC from your IMEI number by taking the 7th and 8th digits, which for me are 10, which supposedly means Finland. That's many different codes, so I am not sure which one I should use. Or maybe both of these methods are actually completely wrong?

I apologize if I did not formulate the question correctly however I'm a 'noob' regarding Android versioning and Android ROM software etc. Here is some background regarding my question. I bought a 'not simlocked' phone from a retailer here in the Netherlands. With the intention to buy a sim only subscription from a network carrier as this was 50 euro's cheaper. Note that the network operator is also Dutch. On the website of the network operator it shows that the Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 supports Wifi calling at that provider. However I do not see WiFi calling in the options. I suspect this is because the CSC on my retail Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 is not the same as a Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 bought at Tele2. The Samsung helpdesk of my country says it should be possible if you insert a Tele2 simcard. My question is, is it possible for me to change the CSC of my android phone to that of the CSC of Tele2/My network carrier as I would like to use WiFi calling. Inserting the Tele2 simcard does not change anything with the software.

Problem: I have a phone I bought from HK and using in Japan. It has been working perfectly fine for 2 years until recently when I changed the service provider. Unfortunately, the service provider has washed its hands off the problem claiming the country of origin. Possible Solution: I read in many forums that it could be an issue with the CSC. So I am presuming that if I can start updating the phone with Japanese OTA it might work so I intend to flash my phone with the Japanese firmware though I can't find a reference where the different firmware are claimed to be compatible. My concern are the following: 1. Where can I determine if the firmwares are compatible and if the worst comes to pass can I reset my phone to default factory settings? 2. If I download a HK firmware and reset CSC to SMB (I think it is for Japan), will i actually receive OTA updates for Japan even though the firmware itself is for another location?
