Does Google Play allow a 'Pick' button triggering purchase confirmation dialog instead of direct billing flow?

**Context:**
My Android app shows list of subscription plans, with a "Pick" labeled button below them. Tapping it currently launches the Google Pay sheet immediately, however, to confirm to play-store policy I want to add a confirmation dialog first, basically:
1. User taps "Pick"
2. Confirmation dialog appears with content:
- Message: "You're about to purchase the selected plan. This will charge your Google account."
- Buttons: "Purchase" and "Cancel" buttons
3. Only if "Purchase" is clicked → Google Billing flow starts
**Question:**
Does this comply with Google Play policies? Specifically:
- Is the initial "Pick" label acceptable since the actual payment initiation happens via a clearly labeled "Purchase" dialog?
- Does the dialog satisfy policy requirements for explicit purchase confirmation?
- Are there examples of apps using similar flows?
**Policy references I checked:**
- [Google Play Payments Policy §4](https://play.google.com/about/monetization-requirements/) requires "clear disclosure" of payments.
- [Billing best practices](https://developer.android.com/google/play/billing) mention reducing accidental purchases.

On a
ULEFONE NOTE15
running Android 12, fully up to date, and am trying to get the QR code reader to launch from Google Messages on the phone in order to pair with Google Messages on a desktop computer.
I installed the Gamma Play QR code reader to scan the QR code for Google Messages and confirmed that, indeed, I am currently using Google Messages.
However, there's no option within the setting for Google Messages as expected in order to pair the phone's Google Messages with the website for desktop access. Scanning the QR code from the website with Gamma Play simply launches a browser on the phone, saying to select device pairing from Google Messages.
There's no such option available from the phone version of Google Messages for some reason.
version messages.android_20250
708_01_RC00.phone.go.dynamic
Shows in app info.
How can I pair this phone with a desktop for SMS?

This is not duplicate of other questions. I've been struggling with this issue for last 3 weeks and have contacted Google over chat, forums and other avenues too without any luck.
I moved from USA to India and now some of the apps can't be downloaded due to payments profile being in USA with an active Google Domains subscription.
So far I've tried following steps -
- Went to payments.google.com and created another profile with India as country. Now I can see two payment profiles as USA and India.
- Added credit cards etc so that it's a valid one
- Went to Apps > Play Store and cleared cache and data. Removed my google account and restarted my phone to add Google account again.
- Can't delete my cc info from USA payments profile due to active Google Domains subscription. Tried cancelling it, but it takes me to Domains billing page which again asks me to go back to payments page to cancel. So kind of catch 22 situation here.
- Unless I cancel Google Domains subscription, can't close my USA payments profile.
- Went to Google play to purchase something and it doesn't allow me to buy anything with India card, so other solution to at least reach 'Accept & Buy' stage can't be done.
I'm stuck with USA google play store now and would appreciate any help to change country so as to get to useful apps.

I tried downloading apps from Google Play Store via WiFi, but I got error 495.
I tried all the steps like:
- Clear cache data from the Play Store app
- Delete Google account and recreate it
- Factory reset
- Rebooting device.
I assure you that the problem is not with the device. It has lots of memory space, so it's not [tag:insufficient-memory] error. And apps can be downloaded in mobile data. I followed the steps which are provided on the troubleshooting page for "495". But no luck.
Anyone gives me a clear idea of why the apps are not able to download via WiFi only?

My Device is Motorola Moto G 1st Gen. running Android Lollipop 5.0.2
From the last 2-3 months, my phone is not installing apps. It downloads the app and even shows installing but never completes. After showing "Installing " for some time, the notification will go. If I go back to Play Store, it says "Install" and not Installing. So I have to repeat the same procedure.
I have tried clearing Data and Cache of Play Store, Download Manager, Google Play Services. I have over 5 GB space available on phone.
I have tried the above solution many times but it doesn't works. The only thing I don't want to do is factory reset.
Update: After I updated to Android 5.1, apps started to install properly so I think it was a bug related to 5.0.2

First of all, let me emphasize that _I AM NOT TRYING TO PIRATE ANYTHING._
My situation is that I have [this game](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.disney.starwarsrebels_goo) which needs to be updated, but I have been failing to finish the update every single time.
My guess is that the Internet connection got disrupted midway through downloading the OBB file, and Google Play app is not equipped to perform a resumable partial download.
It really gets tiresome after a while.
I tried installing the "[APK Downloader Extension](http://codekiem.com/2014/08/07/official-apk-downloader-v2-download-apk-files-from-google-play-store-to-pc/) " but it either failed to login (on Chrome) or does nothing (on Firefox).
If there's a way to get the URL of the OBB file, I can use Firefox's DownThemAll, and manually transfer it to my phone.
So, to repeat the question: Is there a way to download the OBB file without using the Google Play app on the phone?

Recently I've decided to de-Google my phone, and noticed some issues:
1. GMS is NOT the core of AOSP, BUT is definitely required for most apps that need some account management to work properly like all Google apps and most third-party apps that I can easily live without or replace with other apps.
2. The lack of Google Play Services drastically slows down some of the basic apps like browsers (not all of them, but most like Chrome, Edge & Brave), although I can use browsers or alternatives for things like synced calendars, notes, and office.
I currently have no idea how could I make the basics work flawlessly with GMS completely removed.
Any recommendations?

If I decline, the app closes, so I can't switch accounts from within the app without accepting account B, which I'd like to avoid.

I have a similar problem to
https://android.stackexchange.com/questions/62349/how-can-i-stop-being-redirected-to-the-app-store-google-store-by-dodgy-ad-script
however the solution provided there doesn't work:
I'm opening in-app ads on purpose for in-app rewards (freemium game), and some of them open the Play store after they finish playing. I want to continue seeing these ads, so I can't just block them, and redirecting to a web browser changes virtually nothing on the problem. Can I prevent those ads from sending me to the store?
I'm using an older Samsung Android, 4.4.4 according to the device.
I think a redirect tag would fit this question as well, but it doesn't exist.

Google Play Store download stops to a certain percentage on large programs

When I download large apps from the Google Play Store, it always pauses at a certain percentage, for example:
1. Angry Bird 2 (about 120 MB of download size), the download always stopped at 61%.
2. Need for Speed No Limits (About 787 MB of download size), the download always stopped at 97%.
When I say stop, basically the Download Manager would suddenly disappear and then the Download bar in Google Play Store would just be “stuck” at that percentage (data traffic speed also dropped from a few Mb/s to a few Kb/s before hitting 0). I have tried downloading via mobile data or Wi-Fi and both still results the same.
I thought it was because my phones were running out of storage space. However, my internal storage has 24.58 GB free and my SD card has 4.55 GB free, either of which is way larger than the installation size of the two games listed above. It is also weird that the downloader stopped at a higher percentage in the N4S game than the AB2 game since N4S has a much larger download size than AB2.
I have tried canceling the download and re-downloading and it stuck at the exact same percentage. I have also tried cleaning the cache (
/Cache/Download
and deleting everything in there) and even tried deleting the entire Google Play Store app and reinstalling it, and the exact same thing happened. I have also switched to different Wi-Fi networks and switched between Wi-Fi and Mobile data.
My Google Play Store is the highest version I can find on APK Mirror (version 7.9.52.Q-all[PR]156316931) and I have given permission to Storage and my Location. The phone is a Huawei P9 Plus (VIE-AL10) and is currently on Build Number B356 (Android 7.0 with Kernel version 4.1.18-gf6402d0).
Could you please help me?

While researching app behavior on Android—particularly on Samsung devices—I noticed that many apps (e.g., YouTube, Google Play Services for AR, Samsung-specific preinstalled apps) accumulate cache data even when they haven’t been opened or actively used. This led me to question whether cache data could be used to infer user behavior, especially in the context of advertising.
What I’ve observed:
Apps like Samsung Notes and Samsung Cloud build up cache despite never being launched (according to my device usage diagnostics).
Samsung devices often come preloaded with apps and services tied to advertising platforms (e.g., AdGear Technologies, Inc., listed as a Samsung-affiliated advertiser on iabprivacy.com).
Cache typically doesn’t contain personal identifiers, but aggregated cache data across multiple apps could potentially reveal patterns of user behavior or preferences.
My question:
Is it technically possible for a device manufacturer or third-party service to use app cache data (even from unused apps) to infer user behavior or interests for advertising purposes?
I’m particularly interested in:
Whether Android or Samsung’s system services can access and correlate cache data across apps.
If cache data (e.g., image thumbnails, preloaded content, timestamps) can be used to build behavioral profiles.
Any known mechanisms or permissions that would allow this kind of cross-app cache analysis.
Cache is often overlooked in privacy discussions because it’s assumed to be non-personal. However, I’d like to know whether others—especially those with expertise in Android internals, Java/Kotlin development, or digital privacy law—have insights into whether cache could be exploited in this way.
Additionally, while it’s true that system apps may have access to broader system-level data, most users don’t have root access by default on Samsung phones. This makes it difficult for users to verify what data is being accessed or how it’s being used. From a transparency standpoint, this lack of visibility is part of why cache behavior—even from unused apps—raises valid concerns.

On my old telephone, I had an app called "DND toggle" which did just that - toggled the state of Do Not Disturb, and I found it very useful; I linked it to a programmable button for easy access.
I bought a new phone (same manufacturer) and requested transfer of all apps and settings. "DND toggle" was not transferred, and it seems to have disappeared from Play Store. It is not listed under Play Store > Manage apps & device, but it **is** listed on the old phone under Settings > App info. Nor can I find a similar app.
Is there any way of transferring the app? I still have the old phone.
Edit 15jan
On advice from @IsHacker I extracted the APK on the old phone and installed it on the new phone. I had to override a warning about privacy, but it installed OK and now works.

Usually, if I restart the phone, the apps can be installed, but if I wait a few hours, I have to repeat the process.
Does anyone know of a way to fix the issue permanently?

When I try to run the Google Play store app on my Android 6.0 device, I get an error message telling me:
Background data disabled
Google Play Store needs background data to be enabled.
When I click on "learn more" I am taken to this page: https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/1663315?hl=en
That page claims that, under Android 5.0 or higher I need to open the Settings app and select "Wireless & networks" or "Connections" and touch "Data Usage", or on some devices "Battery & Data Manager" and then "Delivery". I have none of these, the closest I have are "WiFi" and "Battery", neither of which have "Data Usage" or "Delivery" under them.
I do however have "Data Usage" as a top-level menu item in Settings but it deals exclusively with *Cellular Data* limiting. And in that I *do* have Google Play Store restricted to "Disable background data on cellular networks". I am *not* going to change this as this was one app I identified which was using excessive mobile data usage.
However, I am *not* on a cellular network when I am trying to open the Google Play store, I am on WiFi, so I'm not sure why it is complaining. Is there some other location that background data has to be enabled for WiFi? I find that when connected to WiFi my phone is automatically updating apps in the background every day or two which would seem to suggest it *does* have background data when on WiFi, so why can't I open the Play Store under the same conditions?

TL;DR - How to uninstall the Google Play store?
---
A friend of mine deleted my Google Account as a prank (don't know how it is a prank). When I came home, I just logged in and tried to install some apps, but it wasn't downloading and stuck on Download Pending.
Here is a list of troubleshooting I did:
1) Force stopped and disabled. Cleared data and cache. Uninstalled updates. Restarted the APK but still didn't work. Yes, I also gave it time to update.
2) I deleted all my other accounts and just kept my Google Account. Did the same as 1), didn't work.
3) OK. I remembered that there are modded Play Stores available online. So I downloaded the Lucky Patcher Google Play Store (modded) ver. 14. something and it didn't work. Also, did 1) again after I installed it.
4) When I uninstall the update for the modded app, it requires authorization, meaning I would have to sign in again. No problem, but there is no option to log out, meaning the arrow drop-down doesn't appear. Also, I signed out from Settings and relogged in from Play Store, but still, when I open it, it asks for authorization again.
5) I tried to install the Gapps again. In the XDA forum, it was stated that you just need to install the package again and it will replace the existing Gapps. I did it. I downloaded the nano package. But it asks for Authorization. Still no drop-down.
I am back again with the Lucky Patcher app. It will let me browse APK and use Play Services, but it won't let me install APKs.
How to uninstall Play Store and reinstall it?
