Faking the Android version from a Samsung Galaxy Tab to counter Google's planned obsolescence policy

I've been used this mint Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 purchased on eBay for a fraction of its price, more specifically, to listen YouTube videos on an Aiwa NSX-SZ80E system with a Bluetooth adapter added by good self, and everything worked just great. Too good to be true, I'd say.
However, Google has unilaterally decided now to render this tablet obsolete overnight by disabling YouTube on it, and suggesting me to "switch to youtube.com" as shown:
The question would be, **exactly how** can I edit my tablet's Android version number to **simply replace "6.0.1" with "9.0.0"**, effectively bypassing this Google's artificial obsolescence policy in the most elegant and straightforward manner possible?
Any ideas will be greatly appreciated. If flashing the complete tablet with new, unstable, untested and unreliable firmware is required, I'll do it gladly, as long as it allows me to **bypass Google's policies of rendering my tablet useless overnight just because they can**.

AP1A.240305.019.A1
.

I find this strange, as based on the _"Build ID definitions"_, the first letter is supposed to be the _"letter of the codename of the platform release"_, which seemed to follow an ascending alphabetical order so far.
https://source.android.com/docs/setup/reference/build-numbers#build-ids-defined
Out of pure curiosity, does anyone have any idea as to what caused the sudden jump to A

Somewhat recently, Google has made the change that apps need to use a recent API level for people on newer Android versions to be able to see it in the Play Store. This means that many apps (mostly games, since they are often released once and then not updated) are no longer available, even though they would be compatible with my device if I could get an APK. However, I cannot find APKs for these apps online, because they are paid.
[This article](https://support.google.com/googleplay/android-developer/answer/11926878?hl=en&ref_topic=7072031&sjid=16231476480237777718-AP#zippy=%2Chow-will-my-users-who-already-downloaded-my-app-previously-be-impacted) says "Users who have previously installed the app from Google Play will not be impacted and will still be able to discover, reinstall, and use the app on any Android OS version that your app supports." This implies that if I was able to buy the app, I would be able to install it even on my newer device. The problem is, I don't have an older device. I only have my phone, so when I try to purchase it from the Google Play website, it says "No eligible devices for app install". Is there a way to add a fake device with an older version of Android to my Google Play account so I can purchase these apps? I am running Linux so I don't know how to install an Android emulator for older versions of Android.

Genymotion: Why is Android version 9.0 the highest I can use on an S10 emulator?
I'm trying to replicate an issue a customer is having on their Samsung Galaxy S10 running Android version 11. When I spin up an S10 emulator, the highest Android version I can use is 9. Does anyone know why this would be, and if there's a way to get higher versions?

I need to purchase a second-hand phone for my kid and would like to make the right choice.
Note: I am not interested in using third-party parental control apps - just stock Android with Google Family Link.
**EDIT: I am specifically interested in *per-app* time limits, *not* general device-level time limits provided by all Android versions since 7.x (as well as some 5.x/6.x devices)**.

I have for a lot of years been playing this game, 'Wordz', on my Samsung A21S, but suddenly it did not work properly.
I removed it and wanted to reinstall, but now it says it does not work on my device(?)
I love this game, and I seriously think about getting a new phone, also since I believe other apps may stop working in the future (old phone).
So, of course I'd like to check the version needed for this app to work, and there the confusion starts.
On Play.google.com it says it need Android 4.0.3 and up.
My phone says it has Android version 12.
Something doesn't fit here, but I don't get it. I must look at the wrong numbers somehow, but I can not find out what to look for.
Can someone clarify this for me?

I have [Bluetooth MIDI Connect](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=bluetooth.midi.connect) installed on my Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 tablet which is currently running on Android 10. My kids are using it to connect to the Bluetooth piano. My understanding is that it cannot be upgraded to a newer version of Android due to the decisions of Samsung and/or Google. I can't upgrade the tablet to a newer version of Android.
Recently, I created a second account on the same tablet for my second child. When I wanted to install the app on the second account on the same device, I realized that I can't because it's not available in the Google Play Store, meaning that when I search in the Play Store, this app does not come up in the list. On the second account, I went via Chrome directly to the link of the app, and the reason why I can't install it is:
>
>
> This app isn't available for your device because it was made for an older version of Android.
I tried from my phone running on Android 13 and I can install it.
My understanding is that Google changed something and now it does not allow apps that are not explicitly compiled using some of their APIs to be available in the Play Store for that particular version of Android. But I could be wrong.
Just to show that I've done my research, I see the following options:
1) Try to find the APK of the older version and install it manually on the tablet as a third-party app. The problem here is that I do not know which site to trust.
2) Somehow take the app files from the first account on the tablet and install them on the second account. From what I've seen for other apps that were on the first account, when I installed them on the second account on the same device, I went to the Play Store and I had a feeling that the app was not even been downloaded. It might be that the app as in the compiled code is the same for the two accounts, just maybe with separate data elements. I could be wrong on this one, it is just a hunch.
3) Somehow download the APK that is currently available for Android 13 in the Play Store and hope it will work on Android 10. I see the risk here that it may not work.
I do not want to root the tablet. I can't seem to find this app on APK Mirror, and I tried it with several other apps, but I can't connect my piano to it.
How can I install this application on my Android 10, Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 tablet? How can I install this app that has older and newer versions?

Already spent a lot of hours searching on Google. Only found how to create a custom ROM from zero or how to modify ROMs from Android 1 to Android 7.
Does anybody know how to do it?

I just bought a Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini, featuring Android 5.1. However, I cannot install the "Audible" audiobook app via Google Play (no search results).
I know that this should work, as I have the exact same device (bought earlier) where Audible is running (automatic app updates are switched off)
I tried downloading an older version (Audible-2.16.1) from www.apkmirror.com (not sure if the website is trustworthy) and installed it manually using ADB and USB debugging. The app kind of worked. At least I could log in and see my audiobooks. However, when trying to download any of the books, I get error messages.
I assume that the app tries to connect to the wrong (old) server when downloading.
Does anybody else have similar problems and knows how to get Audible going on older devices?

I'm a non-techie here trying to root my old samsung to extend the storage and use it longer, and the rooting keeps failing! I have a Samsung Galaxy On5, and I tried using KingoRoot as well as Odin v.3.13 and then v.3.11 when I read on here the older version was more compatible with my version of Android 6.0.1. I'm using a CF Root package, but I think maybe that is the problem because they don't actually have a version for my specific model of the Galaxy On5 which is SM-G550T. Should I try a different root package? If it's any help, when I'm in download mode using Odin and the rooting fails, I get a new line on my phone that says exactly:
Custom Binary (RECOVERY) Blocked by FRP Lock
I-Ionno what I'm doing but in all fairness to me, it's not a big deal if I sacrifice my own phone, I'm just frustrated because I put so much time into researching this that it would be such good pay off if it worked... And my parents now expect me to magic more storage into existence for their phone now that we have nifty SD cards.
thanks for any help you can provide, I'm going to keep trying until I either root or brick this bloated b****.
