I have OnePlus 3 (A3003). I installed a custom ROM. Since then, I can't get to recovery mode. If I try booting into it, my phone gets stuck on the OnePlus logo.
I tried flashing it with fastboot,
C:\...\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools> fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
target reported max download size of 442499072 bytes
sending 'recovery' (18964 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.580s]
writing 'recovery'...
OKAY [ 0.144s]
finished. total time: 0.726s
And also I tried flashing it with the TWRP app, it gave me an error telling me that I have already installed it.
What is the problem?

I use my phone (a OnePlus 3 running the stock ROM and Android 7.1.1) as my primary internet connection. This means that I make heavy use of wireless tethering, especially for work. The trouble is, whenever my phone rings, regardless of whether I answer it, wireless tethering gets disabled. If I use USB tethering, I have no such problem, but wireless is much more convenient.
I previously came across [this answer](https://android.stackexchange.com/a/112419/14562) , but it doesn't apply to me. I've never had a phone that was unable to simultaneously use phone and data. When I'm on a call, I can enable wireless tethering with no problem. It just gets disabled for no good reason whenever I receive a call.
Note that the issue is _not_ the connection technology (WCDMA, VoLTE, carrier support, etc.) This is absolutely impossible, since the fact mentioned above that I can manually re-enable tethering while on a call, coupled with the fact that I have full access to data while on a call, disproves any such theories. This is why I started a new thread instead of using the old one I linked to above.
**Is there any way to prevent wireless from being disabled?** Failing my first question, **I would also accept a method to make my phone completely ignore incoming calls during specified times so that they couldn't disable tethering, so long as I kept internet access and text messaging.**

I downloaded a photo from facebook, and set it as the wallpaper on my phone, then decided I wanted to remove it again. The problem is, I have not yet been able to find a way to delete photos from the wallpaper and lock screen selection. I can understand that they might not want me deleting the stock ones, but it seems there is also no way to delete the ones I loaded.
I am on the Oneplus 3T, if that makes any difference. Also, I deleted the photo from the downloads folder, but it still remains there as an option for a wallpaper or lock screen.

*There is a hack for the OnePlus 3 , which involves rooting and side-loading, which i would really want to avoid.*

I have a brand new OnePlus 3T that I've managed to get stuck in a bootloop. I can access fastboot but no recovery or system. OEM is unlocked.
Things I have done:
1. Tried to install TWRP recovery. Fastboot says this was successful, but I haven't been able to boot into it.
2. Tried booting directly to TWRP recovery img. This freezes the phone and it says FAILED (too many links) in fastboot
3. Tried installing stock OP3 recovery. Same problem as before.
4. Tried hard brick recovery tool. Everything lights up green with installed:ok but still I'm stuck in this bloody bootloop.
5. Tried installing ColorOS through the Chinese install tool. Comes up Failed every time.
I am at my absolute wits end trying to sort this out and I literally have no idea what to do. I have been Googling this all morning to no avail.
Any help anyone can give whatsoever would be really, really appreciated.
EDIT: Some additional info from fastboot screen -
PRODUCT_NAME - msm8996
VARIANT - MTP UFS
BOOTLOADER VERSION - [EMPTY]
BASEBAND VERSION - [EMPTY]
SERIAL NUMBER - b2411609
SECURE BOOT - enabled
DEVICE STATE - unlocked EDIT 2: more weirdness. I changed the USB cable from a micro USB with USB-C adapter to the proper USB-C that came in the box, and the phone booted into the OS. I tried to download the latest Oxygen update via the software update tool but that just boots me back into fastboot. EDIT 3: I think it's just my recovery partition that's busted. Tried reinstalling stock recovery and that didn't work, so currently I have fastboot and OS but with no recovery - given that this is a separate issue I'll do some research before asking further questions. @EHH - thanks for helping me figure this out. Really appreciate your time :)

I have a OnePlus 3T Oxygen 4.1.7. I can no longer download/update apps on the Play Store without WiFi, I used to be able to until I accidentally checked to always download over WiFi only.
Here are the things I tried to fix it.
- I've already changed: Play Store > Settings > Auto-update apps to Auto-update apps at any time. Data charges may apply.
- I've also changed Settings > Google > Data Management > Update Drive-enabled app files - Over wifi or cellular.
- I've uninstalled the Play Store and then reinstalled it as well.
- I've restarted multiple times after each of the above steps.
So far nothing works.

The problem is that cm comes with root access and when updating, makes a su directory in /system/bin/su that suhide detects so that it won't install. I need to delete that directory in between of the flashes, and I would like to make a script that does that for me when i flash it so that I can flash all files together on update using CyanDelta. I know that this is possible because I have seen other zips that execute command scripts as i flash them.

So I LOVE the Textra app, but after I just upgraded to Nougat on my OnePlus 3T - I noticed that my text message notifications disappear from the notification tray on my main screen after a while. It used to be that they would stay in the notification bar until I accessed/dismissed them and then they'd disappear.
Now I get a message and it temporarily shows the Textra notification icon in the tray at the top of the main screen, but if I lock the phone without answering and then unlock it again the notification disappears.
This is inconvenient because after a few hours away from my phone, I have no indication that I got any texts unless I remember to open up the Textra app and see what's new. I liked it better before.
I couldn't figure out where to ask Textra directly - so I came here.

248 Mb this last week of background data compared to 41 Mb foreground. Last month was 400/100. How do I go about seeing what's the cause? I don't send/receive many pictures, when I do it's usually a Hangouts message, not MMS, but usually on wifi too. My brother is 441 foreground, 85 background fore comparison, so about opposite. But as frequently as we're on wifi, I wouldn't think it should use that much cellular data.
Anyone have any tips or a way to start investigating what's going on?
Edit: doesn't fix the root cause, but disabling background cellular data usage doesn't stop you from getting notifications through the magic of GCM push notifications.

When trying to root my OnePlus3 I ran into the issue that when running
fastboot devices
my output is blank. Some people said that even while it returns a blank output other commands should still work but fastboot oem unlock
just says it's waiting for my device without ever proceeding. Also in my device manager I can see ´Kedacom USB device > Android Bootloader Interface´ and I think that might be the problem which I also found in "https://android.stackexchange.com/questions/161420/kedacom-usb-device-doesnt-work-with-fastboot-nexus-5x ". However no solution is provided here.
When I'm using adb devices
after a normal boot it returns List of devices attached
2a04cf0c device
and in my device manager I can also see USB devices > ADB interface

yesterday my beloved OnePlus 3T fell and the screen cracked :(
At first half of it was still usable and visible, shame on me for not recovering the data I needed at that time. now the upper half is still usable but completely black, also the battery died without me noticing so it turned off.
Now I'm stuck with the following situation: phone is turned on, but the pin is preventing me from logging in (I can't type the pin blindly as the bottom half of the screen doesn't get touch inputs), the pc doesn't recognize the phone beyond the driver "disk", so sending commands via adb it's not an option.
I tried booting in recovery mode with volume down+power and I think it got booted in recovery, but I don't remember If I can use the buttons to navigate it. I pressed volume down 3 times to move to english, pressed power to select english, pressed power to select "install from adb", pressed power to select "Ok". at this point I expected the phone to be visible (assuming everything is set up correctly on the pc) when running "adb devices" on cmd, but it doesn't. can anyone confirm that these steps are correct?
I'll later try an otg cable and connect mouse/keyboard as a last resort.
I'm running out of ideas, so if anyone has any idea on how to recover files (don't care about contacts and stuff) from the phone is more than welcome.

I wanted to update my OnePlus 3 to OxygenOS 4 using TWRP but that resulted in an error. I tried again, same error. I flashed the old image again, no error, phone was usable again, updated TWRP, flashed the new image again, different error. I then flashed the old image, again, no error.
However, my phone isn't usable right now because I can't unlock it. I definitely remember my pattern, I had it since I bought my the OnePlus 3 and I bought it right when it came out. I have to enter it every time I reboot so I entered it several times just today and there is just no way I remember it incorrectly. Furthermore, I have a second phone with the same pattern. I drew it on both phones simultaneously and only the other phone unlocked.
How can I log into my phone, again?

For over a year my phone had no issue connecting to my computer via usb cable. I could transfer files back and forth via adb no problem. It stopped being recognized about a month or two ago, So I've been using adb over network.
It doesn't even show up in lsusb.
- I thought maybe it was the cable, so I tried a different cable.
- I thought it was the usb port on the computer, so I tried other usb devices. Phone charges when plugged into computer though.
- I thought it might be the connections of the cable to the phone and computer, So I cleaned them with alcohol.
- I thought maybe the connections on the mainboard of the phone, So I pulled the phone apart and cleaned the connections with alcohol.
- I thought maybe adb needed to be updated/reinstalled, so I did that.
So here's my predicament. I was updating LineageOS and there was a problem with the firmware so I reset my phone without thinking. That deleted all my files on the sdcard as well as the system. So I'm only able to use twrp (recovery, no OS). But the phone should be able to mount still since twrp allows MTP.
Any ideas what I can do to get the phone to be recognized by the computer.
**Stats:**
**phone:** OnePlus 3T - up to date TWRP only, formerly LineageOS
**computer:** Ubuntu 18.04, up to date adb and fastboot

Hello I have the OnePlus 3T using Oxygen 4.0.3, Android version 7.
I am able to connect my iphone 5s, Macbook Air, iPad 4 and Toshiba Chromebook to the phone. All devices register as connected, the hotspot icon on the taskbar of the Oneplus is on, but I am unable to access the internet on any of the devices. I can connect by bluetooth but still no internet. I tethered to the Macbook with a cable, but no internet. Any ideas?
I use the same sim in my iphone 5 and can connect to thee mentioned devices easily and the internet works.
I've tried all the solutions listed in this forum but none of them work for me. So I'm guessing it is the OnePlus 3T is the problem? Any thoughts?
Thanks again Phillip
