Is it possible to set a different language with an adb shell command? adb shell settings get global settings_app_locale_opt_in_enabled returns null, so I'm not sure if it's even implemented at all. Smartphone is rooted with Magisk.

I decided to connect an accessory to my device through an OTG cable/adapter but I see that the device doesn't detect or shows any response when I insert it. My cable/adapter works in other devices, so I'm a bit clueless here. How do I get my OTG cable/adapter working in my OnePlus device?

I just bought a new tablet the Oneplus Pad 2 (Android 14) and when I try to install an apk of app that I use it gives me the error
App not installed as the app isn't compatible with your tablet
This same APK I'm able to install this on my Xiaomi pad 6 (running Android 14) which has a snapdragon 870 and this Oneplus pad has a Snapdragon 8 gen 3 I tried to install via adb, which gave me this error
Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_NO_MATCHING_ABIS: INSTALL_FAILED_NO_MATCHING_ABIS: Failed to extract native libraries, res=-113]
Help me please, how do I fix this? I have read that this is because some libraries are missing, I don't know what that means. Note: My Oneplus pad and Xiaomi pad are both rooted

Hide Status of Developer Options
Is it possible to hide the status (if dev options are on/off) of my developer options to certain apps? There are some apps which force you to turn dev options off, and I don't want to turn them off because animation speed is set to default then and that's waaaaay too slow.

I have some strange keyboard silhouettes on my screen which is present all the time. Look at the screenshot closely: enter image description here It's very hard to see on the photo, but if you look beneath the arrow you will see a silhouette. That is a round button of Android keyboard. And there are letters too, they are just too hard to see. Most of the time it's almost invisible, but on some backgrounds (like on blue in this case) it becomes visible. Also it is not visible on screenshots, that's why I took the photo. I have no idea what is this. So far I have tried: - Rebooting - Switching to NovaLauncher - Clearing default launcher data But it didn't help. The fact that it doesn't appear on screenshots makes me think it's something with my display. Android version: 13 Phone: OnePlus 10 Pro (NE2215)

Oneplus 6 (8gb/128gb) worked perfectly fine from July 2018 to Nov 2022. Now, problems start appearing. There are 2 separate problems - SIM & Wifi disappear & Phone reboot at random frequency. I am not sure whether the problems are linked or not. Important point - + Using original DASH charger since day 1, running original Battery (battery health also OK). + As the problem worsens, time between restarts reduces from 30-40 minutes to 2-3 minutes & sometimes few seconds (sometimes it restarts at Oneplus logo loading screen). + Phone feels slighlty heated up to the left of Fingerprint sensor ---------- Kindly note - ## *I have tried all the troubleshooting steps-network reset, factory reset, OS downgrade etc* *Nearby repair shop (DOUBTFUL) - Network IC reset, Motherboard repair etc.* ---------- **DETAILED SCENARIO** --------------------- In Nov 2022, Phone started randomly losing network - SIMs as well as WiFi - I changed SIM cards it started working correctly. Now after few days, the problem reappeared & frequency increased. In Dec 2022, Phone started restarting abruptly during normal usage. It is generally coupled with NETWORK LOSS as well. Now, I performed regular troubleshooting steps as mentioned above to no avail. Then gave phone to a trusted nearby repair shop to only temporary relief. Total 3 visits to repair shop - 1st Visit - He told that Network IC issue was there. New NW IC ₹ 2000/- *Result*-Worked absolutely correctly for few hours. HAPPY!!! Then same cycle of Network Loss & Random restart & then working fine randomly & then problem again. 2nd Visit - Told that seems like 'Motherboard' problem. Repair/Refurbished MB ₹ 2500/- more *Result*-Worked absolutely correctly for 48-72 hours. Elated & HAPPY!!! Flashed Lineage OS & thought everything is normal now. And demon came back again - the same cycle of Network Loss & Random restart & then working fine randomly & then problem again. 3rd Visit (April 2023)- Told that there might be some pending issue, I will check thoroughly again for 3 days & use. NO CHARGES. *Result*-Got phone back after 15 days, worked fine on WiFi till it got discharged to 8-9% & I put it on charge using DASH Charger. The same cycle has again started. **I am clueless** When the phone works, it works like a charm - but suddenly, network loss & phone restart keeps happening. Please help Stackexchange community.

I managed to brick my phone (OnePlus Nord CE 5G) to the point where I can only get into fastboot and fastbootd. I was using oxygen 12 previously so I believe flashing 11 is not possible. I was able to extract all the images from the latest oxygen 12 image found [here](https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/oneplus-nord-ce-rom-ota-oxygen-os-repo-of-oxygen-os-builds.4326661/) for my phone using payload\_dumper, but I can't figure out where to flash all the images to. I've googled around a fair bit but I can't find any specific instructions for this device/update. My best guess is the script below. All the steps are successfull but I'm still left with an unbootable device. Any help would be highly appreciated.

I took off all google apps and oxygen telemetry using root, but apparently I also took off something important. I'm now receiving all SMS about half an hour late and I can't send any. This problem persists even if I manually open the app. I changed the default SMS app to Signal, so I tried to revert to the original 'messages' app by google, but that crashes on launch. I'm at a loss finding out what essential component I must have removed. Can anyone help out?

Here are the things I tried to fix it. - I've already changed: Play Store > Settings > Auto-update apps to Auto-update apps at any time. Data charges may apply. - I've also changed Settings > Google > Data Management > Update Drive-enabled app files - Over wifi or cellular. - I've uninstalled the Play Store and then reinstalled it as well. - I've restarted multiple times after each of the above steps. So far nothing works.

When i haven't checked my phone (One Plus 6. Running OxygenOS 10.3.12) for a few hours, when i finally check it it lags like there is no tomorrow. My guess is that it requests and then receives a crapton of notifications, which causes the lag. I can take that guess because when i check my phone, nothing is new but after 10-15 seconds it seems to open the floodgates and i receive 20-30 notifications all at once. Is there a way to tell android to do a check for new notifications every x minutes, even if the phone is left undisturbed?

The command below produces an empty 71 byte archive.
$ adb -s XXXXXXXX exec-out 'cat /dev/block/mmcblk0 | gzip' > backup/partitions/mmcblk0.tar.gz
$ ls -shlap backup/partitions/mmcblk0.tar.gz
4.0K -rw-rw-r-- 1 tanhok tanhok 71 Aug  5 18:26 backup/partitions/mmcblk0.tar.gz
Which one of those is "the new mmcblk0"? Which one should I pull to have a full backup of my device stock firmware as an .img file?

Forum, I am trying to update my rooted OnePlus6 from Oxygen 10.3.9 to 10.3.11. For this I am trying to use the OxygenOS updater app, which is a handy software updating utility tool. When doing this, I can select an option *"Keep my device rooted"*. Under this option the following description is provided: *"When you select this option, you may specify a root package which will be installed after the update is installed. This ensures that your device stays rooted. Please note that this root package must be compatible with the NEW OxygenOS version you are going to install!* I have always used magisk to root my phone. I would like to keep it rooted, so therefore I was thinking to provide Magisk-23.0.zip as a root package. My question is: **How do I know whether magisk 23.0 is compatible with OxygenOS 10.3.11?**

I have a persistent problem with notifications to all apps on my OnePlus6+ where they typically are delayed 30-60s, often I will get several notifications showing at once or when I unlock my phone suddenly I get notifications. I can test with gmail, Slack, Messenger, WhatsApp and any other app where I have a version open on my PC at the same time I've only ever owned Android smartphones, and only from OnePlus so I do not know if this is just how Android works or is a 'feature' of OxygenOS/OnePlus hardware. But it's happened across multiple versions of Android and hardware for several years. It suggest PUSH notifications are not really being PUSHed but polled, like the phone is only checking periodically. I see it whether on WiFi or cellular networks and it's quite irritating. Can anyone give me any information or advice about it?
