I normally keep my OnePlus 13 slider on the "Vibrate" setting as to not disturb others. Sometimes in the evening, I switch it to the "Ring" (loud) setting. I recently installed an app for a medical device, and I require the app to be loud at all times.
I tried enabling "Allow in Do Not Disturb" but this only takes effect when using Do Not Disturb, which stops all other notifications.
How can I set my medical app (or any app) to be loud AT ALL TIMES, while keeping all other apps on Silent, Vibrate, Ring (according to the slider)?

Silet Time

The application sets silent mode or vibration at scheduled time of the week.
I now have **Android 6** and that application does not work anymore; I also tried Silent Hours
and several others.
The Do not disturb
mode works but it doesn't allow setting vibration, only full silent mode which is good for sleeping, but not in other occasions (office hours, meetings, etc).
Is there a way to achieve this on **Android 6**?

Is there a way to prevent turning the sound (silencing the phone) off from the lock screen? This is a Motorola Droid 4.
I notice I've missed calls and check only to find that the sound has been turned off. I always make sure to turn the screen off thus activating the screen lock when I put the phone in my pocket. However, I see that the touchscreen still allows the speaker to turn off. Is there a way to deactivate this? I tried using the [Droid inPocket](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.addition.inpocket) app and it didn't solve the problem. In fact, I'm not sure what it did do.

I want to silence my phone during bedtime, especially all chat notifications. In the settings menu (swipe down on the right side of the screen) there is an icon "bedtime mode" in my phone that may solve my problem. It can be triggered by schedule, by charging, or manually. I want to use the schedule trigger, but this is the start of my yak shaving journey:
1. Looks like the start and stop time is tied to the Clock app's Bedtime schedule. OK fine I'll adjust the stop time using the Clock app's bedtime feature.
1. But setting the stop time means Clock app will set up alarm to ring at the stop time! I don't want the alarm to ring at 4:00am, I just want the DoNotDisturb to end at 4:00am.
1. I worked around the issue by not selecting any sound for the alarm.
1. This kinda work but every morning I get notification that I haven't selected sound for my alarm.
Did I do this correctly? Is there a better way to silence my phone at certain time of the day?

There are some emergency alerts I would be very grateful to receive even when I'm sleeping, but so far I've only receive alerts for things that didn't actually put me in danger or for things that I could literally do nothing to help with until I woke up the next day.
I would like the emergency broadcasts to be silenced at night, specifically the ones in the categories "Show severe threats" and "Show AMBER alerts." I would still like to receive these alerts (so I can do something about them in the morning if I need to), just without any sound, and just for the period while I'm sleeping. Additionally, I would prefer to still have "Show extreme threats" and "Presidential alerts" sound at night if it is possible.
I know this is a fairly specific order and in all my searching on this subject I have found no way to silence the emergency alerts without unsubscribing from them altogether, so I don't know if this is currently possible. But that's why I came here, to ask if there's something I've missed so far.
Please note: I am talking about the emergency broadcasts you access through "Settings," rather than the feature available in "Google Now" I've seen floating around this website.

However, during the night, I'd like to allow my parents to call me and for my phone to ring (aloud) so that it wakes me up as they're old and it may be an emergency. (I don't wear my watch at night).
I realise that I can set up a DND profile and allow "starred contacts" to call me, however this means that every night I need to remember to turn my ringer on, so that once the DND setting has allowed the call through, I can hear my phone ringing.
Is there any way to automatically make my phone move to "ring" rather than "silent" at the same time as DND kicks in, or is there another way?

I have a Huawei P20 Pro. This might be a quirk with their software, but I thought I should ask either way.
Let's say you have two phones with two numbers. One is your private phone and one is your work phone. During the day you can put your private phone on silent and your work phone with sound on. When you go home for the day you can put the work phone on silent and turn the sound on for your private phone.
If you put both SIM-cards in the P20 Pro, you cannot choose to have one SIM with sound on, and one on silent. You can choose that one SIM should vibrate and one should not. This only works with sound on. If you put the phone on vibrate, it vibrates for both SIM-cards. If you put it on silent, it is silent for both sim cards.
I also have the problem that I can set the notification sounds to "None", but I can't seem to turn off the vibration for notifications. I want the notifications for all apps in the notification bar, but I do not want sound or vibration no matter the settings for calls. So to sum up, this is what I was hoping to be possible. Is there an app for this?
- Individually control sound, silent mode, and vibration on/off for both SIM-cards
- Turn off sound and vibration for all notifications from apps like Facebook, Messenger, Instagram, SMS Messages, etc. regardless of silent mode, vibration mode or sound volume, etc.
Is one of these or both of these possible, with or without an app? I may root the phone if I can keep the stock firmware, it is safe, and possible to reset.

So if I'm up late or early, I still hear a text arrive, but if I nap midday it's silent, without me needing to remember to turn some settings on or off? Maybe some sleep app can do this? Or maybe IFTTT, Tasker, MacroDroid, or some other, can deduce whether I'm asleep, from Fitbit, or some other sleep app?
My phone has Android 12 but is a tad dated (Pixel 3 XL), so a solution that doesn't suck lots of battery would be preferable.

My friend has an Android phone but she hates actually talking on the phone and hates being distracted by ringing or vibrating. Her mantra is that she'll check it when she checks it. This is quite annoying when I really need to get a hold of her as she often won't notice I was trying to call/text until later. She has the phone set on silent and turned off vibration.
I am wondering if there's any way I can configure it so that either it rings, vibrates, or both -- but only if it's me calling? In other words, I'm asking if it's possible for only specific contacts to trigger a ring and/or vibration, while otherwise being silenced? I'm not sure if this is something that can be configured out-of-the-box as I have an iPhone and am unfamiliar with Android. But even if it involves installing a third-party app, that would be fine as long as it can achieve the same result. Is this possible on Android?
