I've started listening to music on **Spotify** with the sleep timer as I go to sleep. However, I normally have **Do Not Disturb** enabled when I sleep, and Do Not Disturb blocks all media because I have the "Media sounds" setting setting to not be able to interrupt. I don't want to enabled this setting because I don't want things like text messages to ding during the night.
I see there is a way to allow notifications from specific apps through Do Not Disturb, but is there a way to allow audio from specific apps? Specifically, I'd like Spotify to be able to play when I have Do Not Disturb up, and nothing else.
I'm running Android 13.

My Pixel 6 just upgraded to Android 15, where the Do Not Disturb mode moved into a new Modes area.
I don't like how more taps are required now to enable or disable that mode.
How can I reduce the number of taps required?
Nowadays it seems this is what I need to do:
1. Swipe down from the top of your screen to open Quick Settings.
2. Tap "Modes"
3. Tap "Do Not Disturb"
4. Tap "Turn On"
5. Tap "Done"
I think this is TWO more steps than used to be required, and it's annoying me throughout every day.
Also, I do not want to use the 'Flip to Shhh' Gesture. And I do not want to schedule DND mode or set rules for when it should automatically enable.
How can I change the steps back to how they were?

I would like to enable Do Not Disturb on a phone via ADB. I have located the settings namespace and key which controls Do Not Disturb:
adb shell settings put global zen_mode 2
But when I run this command and then get the key its value remains set to "0". If I enable Do Not Disturb manually on the phone, then look at the key, it shows "2" as I expect.
I am using stock Samsung S7/S7 Edge phones, with Android 7.0, not rooted.
Is there a step missing in order to toggle this particular setting via ADB? Thus far I haven't had issues changing any other settings in this way, so it's confusing why this does not work.

How can I enable the Do Not Disturb feature for just my personal SIM card, without also enabling it for my work SIM card? Specifically, I'd like to be able to have my personal SIM on Priority mode, if possible, which allows starred/favourited contacts to still ring.
I plan to upgrade to LineageOS 15 soon, but I can do this right away if it is a prerequisite.

> 2. From 7:00 AM till I stop - No sound, no calls are allowed except for the calls from Favorites contact.
The second one I already have successfully running on my phone but I find no way to have both the schedules running on one phone.
Android gives option to define only one set of DND rule and all the schedules will follow the same rules set.
I am looking for something where I can have two different rule set for two schedules.
As far as I can see and search it is not possible with Android default, or is it in any way?
Or, is there any app which can allow me to do this specific thing? Paid app will also work.

I have struggled to find clear information about exactly what settings affect whether various emergency alerts are received or not. Even getting a definitive list of alerts is not as simple as it should be. From what I understand, there are two main types of alert - cell broadcasts and Google crisis alerts (which include earthquake alerts). Cell broadcasts do not require wifi or mobile data, but Google crisis alerts do require either wifi or mobile data.
Questions I have are:
1. Does Battery Saver delay or prevent the receipt of either type of alert?
2. Does Do Not Disturb prevent the receipt of either type of alert?
3. Does either type of alert requires location access (GPS) to be enabled at all times (or is wifi sufficient for determining location)?
4. What apps, services etc. are involved in receiving the alerts, what minimum permissions do they need and what settings need to be enabled?
I think that for these alerts to be as useful as they can be in saving lives, this information should be absolutely clear and available in one place. In fact, all necessary settings etc. should be configurable from within one app on Android with an option to reset required settings to ensure receipt of all types of emergency alert.
In the meantime, I'd appreciate answers to the above questions.

Currently, Do Not Disturb fully disables incoming calls, or only shows a silent notification. How can I just make it cause calls to vibrate when I have Do Not Disturb turned on?
**My real goal:**
I do deep-thinking work as a software developer. I need 4+ hr blocks of time undisturbed so I can do deep work. I'd like to start each work day by turning on "Do Not Disturb" mode for 8 hrs, but I need to still be notified of calls--just via vibrate is all so it's less-intrusive, in case it's a doctor's office, the [car repair person fixing my brakes](https://mechanics.stackexchange.com/q/88265/71510) , my wife with an important message, etc.
My phone is Google Pixel 5 with Android 12.

Switch Do not Disturb and Silent mode based on schedule automatically

However, during the night, I'd like to allow my parents to call me and for my phone to ring (aloud) so that it wakes me up as they're old and it may be an emergency. (I don't wear my watch at night).
I realise that I can set up a DND profile and allow "starred contacts" to call me, however this means that every night I need to remember to turn my ringer on, so that once the DND setting has allowed the call through, I can hear my phone ringing.
Is there any way to automatically make my phone move to "ring" rather than "silent" at the same time as DND kicks in, or is there another way?
Phone is a Pixel 6.

I set my "Do not disturb" on to stay on "until you turn off". Nonetheless, at random times, it turns off by itself.
I also have the same issue with silencing my audio. Usually at the same time as the "do not disturb" turns off, "silence" turns off.
Do you know what other settings might be controlling the state of "do not disturb" or the volume?

Since the upgrade to **Android 12**, it stopped working properly. It shows as activated but I keep getting **some** notifications and sounds (not all of them, but no clue which ones they do and which ones they don't). The settings are correctly configured to **not** get any notification from any application, and still, I keep getting some even with the screen lock.
Any idea of what to do or how to go back to Android 11?

I'm using a Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G on Android 12, One UI 4.1.
Where I work, we use Webex for our phone system. Every so often, I go on call. My cell number gets added as part of an on call hunt group. When I'm not on call, someone else gets added.
Because the Webex app's call sound is really not very alerting, I like to have my cell's phone app ring, in addition to the Webex app (I have a much more alerting sound for the phone app).
When I'm on call, I need the Webex app to bypass my do not disturb so it wakes me up in the middle of the night. It does not. Consequently, I've had to get creative with a bunch of other settings that really screw around with how my phone rings. Ideally, what I want is for my phone app on my cell to ring whenever my desk phone (a softphone on my workstation at work) rings. When I'm on call, setting Remote Office in the Webex app to "on" with my cell number seems to force my cell and my desk to ring at the same time as the phone app and the Webex app. When I'm not on call, this same setting seems to force calls to my work number to go direct to my cell and direct to voicemail. The cell will ring once briefly. Webex doesn't even ring.
To deal with this, I have to disable all my other app notifications and leave do not disturb turned off overnight. This is less than ideal.
What do I do? Life seems like it would work properly if Do Not Disturb settings were respected. I am set to allow the Webex app through Do Not Disturb in Android and while the alert shows on the screen, it doesn't make any noise or vibration - which makes me believe that it's not actually bypassing Do Not Disturb.

So first, am I missing something obvious and that option is still there?
And second, If this option was indeed removed, is there a more 'advanced' way of getting the priority mode to end after my next alarm?

So when family and friends go bananas on a communication app, the phone spews alerts endlessly, one for every single message. Sometimes even every time someone starts typing! Some apps, like signal, provide an option to disable alerts for an hour or some other choice of duration. But not all apps have this, and I certainly don't want to disable all notifications.
Is there some way in android to rate limit notifications per app? I will live very happily the rest of my life if Snapchat can send maximum one audio/vibration notification every 10 minutes. Can I make android fix this for me, or is it up to every single app developer to implement this?
I already block and disable some notifications, and I've already set up "Do not disturb". I've never seen any option to avoid these notification torrents, though.

Background: My wife and I are foster parents, and our sponsoring agency uses its on-call phone system to call foster parents for emergency placements. The system has a single inbound number that forwards calls to the cell phone of the case worker who's on call that week, but for whatever reason* outbound calls placed from that case worker's cell come across with CID hidden. (I've seen both
Private Number
and Hidden Number
, which I assume are carrier-specific variants.)
*I'm aware of the personal privacy and work/life balance reasoning behind the decision. I just don't know why, instead of hiding the CID, they don't set the CID to the inbound number.
Context: I've got a OnePlus 9 Pro 5G that was recently updated to Android 12. During the workday (8A-5P) I have Do Not Disturb enabled, with calls from Starred Contacts allowed. I also have the "2 calls within 15 minutes" rule enabled, but I don't know how that works with non-CID calls.
Question: Is there any way to allow non-CID calls past the DND feature?
