I've started listening to music on **Spotify** with the sleep timer as I go to sleep. However, I normally have **Do Not Disturb** enabled when I sleep, and Do Not Disturb blocks all media because I have the "Media sounds" setting setting to not be able to interrupt. I don't want to enabled this setting because I don't want things like text messages to ding during the night.
I see there is a way to allow notifications from specific apps through Do Not Disturb, but is there a way to allow audio from specific apps? Specifically, I'd like Spotify to be able to play when I have Do Not Disturb up, and nothing else.
I'm running Android 13.

I am from Croatia and I was able to install and use (run) Spotify *free* version (not Premium, I didn't sign up for free Premium or anything). None of my friends can install (or run) it because in order to use Spotify in Croatia, you would need to have either an Unlimited or Premium subscription.
Now, a week after using it, I get this error message after trying to log in:
> You appear to be trying to log into Spotify from a different country.
So obviously, the first time I downloaded Spotify, the Play Store thought I was in a different country. I was not using VPN or anything like that, so how can it be?
Another thing that interests me, can I trick the Play Store or other apps to think I'm in another country by changing my settings somehow?
P.S. I get promo messages from Spotify in Swedish language!

On my laptop, I've created an Excel spreadsheet with embedded hyperlinks to several Spotify albums. The hyperlinks can be Spotify URIs or URLs, like the following two:
- spotify:album:43YIoHKSrEw2GJsWmhZIpu
- https://open.spotify.com/album/43YIoHKSrEw2GJsWmhZIpu
The Spotify app is installed on the Android phone, and the expected behavior is that opening both types of links from Excel for Android should open the album on the Spotify app.
However, when I try to open a Spotify URI with Excel on the Android phone, I get the following error: "*Sorry, we couldn't open this link. The link address may be invalid, or you may not have permission to open it*".
When I try to open a Spotify URL with Excel on the Android phone, I get the following error: "*There's no web browser installed for this user profile, so the page couldn't be opened.*" (Firefox is installed on the phone.)
Any ideas on how to get Excel on Android to open either type of hyperlink?

Similarly, on Spotify, I get 'No Internet Connection' and am unable to use it, but other items such as Album Cover and other information are loaded.
I'm having similar issues with other apps, such as Google Keep, which won't sync properly.
I've tried reinstalling, restarting, clearing data and cache, resetting network settings.
Is there any way I can, say, view the logs and figure out the problem ?

This is a weird one - I'm running Magisk rooted Lineage on a Pixel 4a
When I reboot, Spotify is renamed to Google Assistant and I get a popup saying "Google Assistant keeps stopping", and Spotify (Google Assistant with the Spotify logo) won't launch.
Clearing cache and storage doesn't fix it, I have to uninstall and reinstall, and then it'll work perfectly until I reboot.
Just today it stopped renaming but it still gets bricked, so I did some more investigating:
- I un-rooted and the problem stopped happening, then re-rooted and it started again.
- I turned everything off in the Superuser tab of Magisk, and removed all my modules (Except SafetyNet Fix) but it still happens
- The problem started around when I installed ReVanced so I've completely removed everything related (Youtube ReVanced, Youtube, Revanced Manager, and related modules) but no luck
- If I let Spotify get bricked then un-root ("Restore Images" from Magisk, not "Complete Uninstall"), Spotify works fine. So it seems like something is interfering with it, rather than modifying the installation

I have an LG G7 One (not rooted) and I've been having ongoing issues with Spotify moving my downloads from my SD card to internal storage every time my phone reboots. I've done lots of research into it and it seems like the source of the problem is that Spotify starts up when the phone reboots but before the SD card has been detected by my phone, so Spotify thinks to move all downloads to internal storage.
Some workarounds I've read about:
- Moving Spotify to SD card through developer options - I can enable this option on developer options, but there's no option to actually move any of my apps to my sd card
- Force phone to ask for PIN before phone boots up (to give time to detect SD card) - no option to do this on my phone
- Prevent Spotify from starting at boot - the only way I've seen online that I can do this is the non-root solution mentioned here https://android.stackexchange.com/questions/209327/disable-autostart-on-boot-and-restrict-background-execution . I got to the step where AppOps is downloaded but I can't understand the steps from the link to deny the
BOOT_COMPLETED
permission.
I have a Mac and followed the steps here https://www.xda-developers.com/install-adb-windows-macos-linux/ to set up ADB. I tried typing in the command ~$ appops set com.spotify.music BOOT_COMPLETED deny
but it says the command isn't recognized. Sorry for the beginner question, I'm probably making a very simple mistake (it's my first time using ADB)!
Thank you for reading and for your help! My internal storage is full even though all I have on it are essential apps and system files, while my SD card has tons of space - very frustrating :(

I apologize for my English because it's not my native language and I hope I'm not breaking some forum rules.
I got a Samsung s21 fe and a Macrom M-an700dab, which is a car tablet with android 8.1 mounted on a peugeot 308. I have regular spotify account, only one device at time. When I'm in the car I'd like to use the tablet Spotify app and the s21 Spotify app, cause I can control that via Alexa Echo Auto. I thought in theory that can work if I use the "connect to device" Spotify feature in the smartphone app, which see the Macrom tablet like a device, allowing me to change song with the phone (therefore with the voice) and with the tablet.
The problem is that most of the time Spotify pauses the song after a few seconds, and even if I play it again it re-pauses. Then I have to close the app on the phone and use the app on the tablet or vice versa. I think what makes the conflict is the fact that the smartphone is connected to the tablet with Bluetooth.
I'd like to find a way to fix this.
I hope I have been as clear as possible, even if this problem is difficult for me to explain even in my own language. If there is something unclear or missing information, tell me and I will try to explain myself better.
Thank you in advance.

The devices are flawless, they can still control tracks on my Laptop.
I also tried YT music, there the controls do not work either, so I assume it's not a Spotify issue.
Android 11 on Fairphone 3, Build number 8901.4.A.0016.6.
What else did it try?
* Restarted the phone
* Unpaired devices and paired again
* Reset the Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth connection (System > Reset options)

Do I need some library from their [documentation](https://developer.spotify.com/documentation/android/) or is there just some available intent?
If there is already some nice app, you can point me in comments ;D

I'm listening to Spotify with a BT headset, and once I remove the headset from my ears, it pauses the playback automatically. After a couple of hours, Spotify disappears from available players, and if I put the headphones back, it can't restart the playback.
When Spotify goes inactive, I got this in logcat:
AvrcpMediaPlayerList: onActiveSessionsChanged: number of controllers: 1
Note: I have another player so in case there is also Spotify, it should be 2.
I have to unlock the phone and start the playback manually.
Is this a bug? Has anyone found any solution?

What is the actual issue ? Is this issue caused due to One UI ? Please help.

Here's the quick low down. In the notification bar, spotify sits above notifications, where the quick actions are. I'm ok with this, even though the player is imo larger than it needs to be. The real issue is when I expand my quick actions. Now spotify becomes fucking huge. There's no need for this to happen. I would like to keep it small. I am talking specifically about this:
It leaves very little room for notifications, and collapsing it all again is a nuisance too.

My goal is to program NFC tags in such a way, that Spotify starts playing a specific track/album/playlist.
But after writing a Spotify URI (e.g.
spotify:track:6rqhFgbbKwnb9MLmUQDhG6
) to my tag, it only opens the app and disregards the resource.
The problem seems to be the way Android handles the tag, because the URI works without any problems when I call it from another app.
A related problem is the way URLs are handled: When I open a Spotify URL like https://open.spotify.com/track/6rqhFgbbKwnb9MLmUQDhG6
from another app, it directly launches Spotify, whereas it would unsuccessfully try to open it with a browser after touching the tag.
It seems like Android only processes the scheme of the URI. Is this correct? If so, is there something that can be done to circumvent this? Why would that be the case?

On the Windows desktop version of Spotify, when you search and start playing one song in the search results, Spotify will play all the subsequent songs in the search results when the song ends. It even shuffles the results if you have shuffle turned on. The Android app used to have this function as well, but it appears it was removed because it annoyed people sometime in 2018 (really, if you just want the one song, add it to the queue and skip once; it's not hard). Is there a workaround to still have this feature? Someone on the Spotify forums claimed that Spotify now creates a playlist based on search results:
>The overhaul follows Spotify’s recent update to song search; now when you search for a song with a common name, Spotify will create a playlist, an actual list, based around the song instead of playing every version of that searched song in order.
You can learn more by reading this blog post and this article of what's new with Spotify Premium.
The blog post in question was vauge and had no instances of the word "playlist" on the page, and the article concerned something about the artists radio, so I'm going to assume that person has no idea what they're talking about, but it's my only lead so I posted it in case someone can clarify this feature
The main question is: **Is it possible, in any way, to make the Spotify android app play all the songs in the search results?**
