I have a lot of news(paper) articles in my Facebook news feed and so I often open up the linked article to read it in the browser. After that I want to go back to the Facebook app to read the comments on this post which linked to the article, but at this moment is the app refreshing the news feed and the post disappears. If I read the article fast enough, then I can go back to the post without a refresh. I did not measure the time frame in which I have to go back, but it feels like a minute or so and it often takes much longer to read the articles. Some time agao was there an option to adjust the refreshing time, but it looks as if this option is not available anymore. How can I prevent the auto-refresh in general in the app (I actually know by my self when I want to do a refresh or not), or how can I adjust at least the refreshing time frame?

On Account Settings, cannot delete 2nd Facebook account with a bunch of numbers only
I have a Samsung Galaxy A35 5G phone with Xfinity Mobile. Why does my phone show a 2nd Facebook account in my Settings-Accounts? I have the normal one, and then the 2nd one shows a bunch of numbers only. I delete it and will check back later, and most of the time it's showing again.

I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S2. A mate recently used my mobile Facebook app to log into his account. Now, I always get his email as the default when I go to log in to the Facebook on Android app. Although not a big issue, it is very frustrating. - I have deleted data and cache from App Settings, no go. - I have removed the account from the Account settings, no go. - I have set up another Gmail account for the Play Store and downloaded it through there. In the bottom right corner, you’ll find a screwdriver and span icon. If you click on it, it will bring up the options for flipping the screen. When I save a photo from the FB app, it gets saved to the Facebook folder $EXTERNAL_STORAGE/DCIM/Facebook/. I want to change this folder destination to my pictures folder $EXTERNAL_STORAGE/PICTURES/Facebook/. One would think this would be obvious for FB. I've checked Android settings, Facebook app settings and Googled for both, but can't find anything certain. I'm not sure if it's a Facebook thing or a samsung thing. Here is a kicker for you; in a weird way when saving a meme from Memories in the FB app, it once in a while saves that picture, by default to Pictures/Facebook. For most of the time, pics get saved to DCIM/Facebook by default. As if FB can't make up its mind. Photos of which I'm talking about are all memes. I managed to find and change the default location for my screenshots from $EXTERNAL_STORAGE/DCIM/Screenshots to $EXTERNAL_STORAGE/PICTURES/Screenshots in Android settings. And this got me thinking, can I do the same for my FB downloads folder? I don't use FB for taking photos or videos. I'm not looking to move or sync my photos to another folder. I'm looking for a solution of changing the the folder destination like I did with the Screenshots folder. This would avoid having to move or sync my files to another folder altogether. Samsung A13, Android 13 Thank you in advance.

I recently flashed [AOSP 10.0 v209](https://github.com/phhusson/treble_experimentations/releases?q=AOSP+10.0+v209&expanded=true) on my Redmi Go (tiare) then I flashed [litegapps (systemless)](https://sourceforge.net/projects/litegapps/files/litegapps/arm/29/go/v2.7/) and everything was working fine until I tried to use Facebook Watch and Instagram Reels. They just don't load at all! I can see the thumbnails but when I tap on them, nothing happens. But they work fine in Facebook Lite and Instagram Lite. It's so frustrating because I love watching videos on these apps. I checked the permissions, and they are all granted. I cleared the cache and data, but it didn't help. I even tried to reinstall the apps, but it was useless. I even tried installing Meta Services and Meta App Manager using [App Systemizer v17.3.1](https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/module-terminal-app-systemizer-v17-3-1.3585851/) it improved the experience a bit, but the issue didn't solve at all. I don't understand why they are not working on AOSP 10.0 v209 when they were working perfectly on the stock rom. Does anyone have a solution for this? Please share your tips and tricks with me. Thanks in advance!

But I found out that after restarting both apps are reactivated. Of course, Android isn't Windows, so I don't need to restart it often (basically almost not at all), but it's still annoying. Also, it didn't do this on the previous phone, but there was One UI, so it's probably related to "stock" Android (specifically version 12) Please help Thank you PS. The problem phone is a T-Phone , but like I said, it's probably purely OS related.

I have an issue with a combination of the Facebook and Google Photos apps on my Pixel 4 XL. The folder Facebook stores the images you save from it is in the DCIM folder. Photos you take with your phone camera are also in the DCIM folder, in a Camera subfolder. Google lops all content within the DCIM folder into a virtual folder called Camera, completely ignoring the subfolder structure within DCIM. So whenever you have to navigate folder structures to select an image, both the images saved on Facebook and the ones taken with the camera are shown in the same location of the virtual Camera folder - the actual subfolders are hidden by the virtual folder. This is problematic because Google photos can't distinguish these subfolders either. The option to back up files with Google One can only be set on the virtual folder level. So, I can either back up my camera photos AND any Facebook images I've saved, or nothing. I save a lot of memes and they're cluttering up my Google photos. I want to stop backing up the Facebook images. As far as I can see it, any of the following would solve my problem - Facebook saves to a different folder not within existing DCIM folder - Facebook allows you to select which folder to save files in - Android doesn't allow virtual folders to totally obscure physical folders, to where we could still specify not to back up the Facebook directory in Google Photos - Google Photos offers some ability to control when backups occur (eg only when charging so I could move the files before they're backed up) - Google Photos has the concept of a bidirectional sync to where local deletion/movement removes the backed up copies None of these appear to be offered. The one path I did go down myself was installing the app FolderSync which is supposed to be able to instantly move files from one folder (DCIM/Facebook) to another (just Facebook, with Photos backup disabled on that folder). It seems to move the files right as they're saved, but it does not seem to preempt Google Photos from indexing and backing up the files first so this doesn't work. It also breaks the media index and I have to restart my phone or use an app that manually triggers a media rescan (or else all the original files in the DCIM subfolder appear as error thumbnails during media selection, and the destination ones don't appear). There are a bunch of posts on reddit and Google support forums about this with no fix indicated. This has been bugging me for many reasons - wastes Google One storage, clutters it up so it's harder to find actual images I took (probably have 10x as many images saved from Facebook vs photos I took), didn't exist in earlier Android versions and would've been able to avoid it with control options that have since been removed, etc.

I'd like to ask a question about the facebook app (but it is not only one that does this). Currently, when I save any photo from facebook, it saves into /DCIM/Facebook. Now I would not normally care where the photos are stored as long as Gallery app sorts them right, but the fact it goes into DCIM folder makes it behave wrongly with the Google Photos app. Google Photos treat all those Facebook saved posts as "Camera photos" and tries to synchronize them to server, which I obviously do not want (I store photo albums on GPh, I do not need meme pics among them) and I cannot refine the synchronize options any more (only "Camera" is chosen to sync). Is there a way to exclude those downloaded pictures from sync? Or make Facebook save its downloads to, say, /Pictures/Facebook ? Same as above also happens in DCIM/Screenshots while clipping parts of screen. Phone is Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Android 6.0.1 Thanks in advance

By default, many apps open links inside the app using an in-app browser. On Android, this is a version of Chrome, called Chrome Custom Tabs, optimised for in-app use (1) . When in-app browsing is disabled, clicking a link results in the default browser app opening and rendering the webpage. To disable in-app browsing on the Facebook app, users can go to Setting > Media to find a checkbox related to this behaviour (2) . How can in-app browsing be disabled in the Facebook Lite app? This light version does not seem to include the same checkbox as the regular Facebook app.
