**Galaxy-S (Vibrant), Android 2.1**
If I create an event with the stock Calendar app, I can freely change which Google Calendar the event is associated with. Once it sync's with Google Calendar, however, I can no longer change which Calendar the event is associated with. I can do change any other aspect of the event, and even delete the event, but I can't move it to a different calendar. I can change the calendar from the Google Calendar web page, though.

A few days ago I deleted all of my Android contacts (using the "Delete Contacts" app). Not a mistake, I really want to delete them.
From that day, Android always shows a notification "Sync: Too many contacts deletes".
When I click on it, a menu comes:
>Delete limit exceeded
There are 3960 deleted items for contacts, account xxx.xxx@gmail.com. What would you like to do?
>- Delete the items.
>- Undo the deletes.
>- Do nothing for now.
When I click
Delete the items
, the menu disappears, and nothing seems to happen. The contacts are gone but the notification still sits there. It has been like this for days. What should I do?

How to sync facebook contacts after Ubersync deprecated
As of May 2015, Ubersync no longer works due to a change Facebook made. How can I keep my Android contacts book synced with my Facebook contacts now? I imagine other apps have suffered a similar fate.

I've installed [Neo Backup](https://f-droid.org/packages/com.machiav3lli.backup) which allows me to do (scheduled) backups of my applications data to device's file system. Now what I want is to use my PC as a storage for that backups, and transfer them via wifi.
I have 2 Wi-Fi use cases:
- When my phone and PC are connected to the home router,
- And when my PC connected to the phone in hotspot mode.
So I want backups to work in both cases.
There are application named [SyncThing](https://syncthing.net) which I familiar with, but it's not suitable for my case because I don't want backups to be stored and take space on the phone at all. But one great feature of SyncThing is that both devices can find each other no matter which local network they are in.
I tried [CIFS Documents Provider](https://f-droid.org/ru/packages/com.wa2c.android.cifsdocumentsprovider) , and it works, but only when I know exact IP or hostname of my PC in local network. It seems like what I really need is the similar application but with ability to find my PC no matter what IP or hostname it has. Anyone can suggest such, or maybe other solution for my needs?

Does Telegram take contacts from other apps on the device? I recently received a notification stating that a person I know has just joined Telegram. This person is not stored in my phone contacts and never has been. The only possible link it has is with the Facebook Messenger app, which is installed on the same device.
This also happened on another device with the contact being from Viber.
How is this even possible? It has caused a lot of problems because I can not identify the link, and how it happened to be connected.
Any insight would be appreciated!

This has been an issue for as long as I can remember. There must be a way to solve this issue, as not having my calendar on my phone makes the Calendar feature all but useless.

I'm having trouble editing a WhatsApp contacts' name. I have this contact saved in my contacts list with the desired name, but WhatsApp just doesn't want to use that name apparently. I can even see the WhatsApp "voice call", etc. options from the contacts screen in my contacts app. If I'm on the contact page in WhatsApp, clicking the dropdown menu "edit" or "view in address book" simply doesn't work, so I think this is some kind of sync problem.
In my Contacts app on Nexus 5X, when I select "All Contacts", there's only one version of this specific contact, under the correct name, so I don't think there's a duplicate with the wrong name unless WhatsApp has somehow hidden this duplicate.
I feel like I've tried *everything* you can possibly try by googling; deleting the contact, playing around with WhatsApp permissions, etc.
Any insight is very appreciated.
(How it seems to me: WhatsApp has some kind of hidden contact list somewhere that I can't view/edit, from which it keeps syncing the wrong contact name)

I use phone(s) with the stock Google Contacts app.
Enabling Extreme Battery Saver on Pixel causes the Contacts app to pause (by default).
If I enable Extreme Battery Saver on Pixel, and let it pause the Contacts app, does it pause automatic sync of Contacts?
Could this help save battery usage?
I am considering changing Extreme Battery Saver settings to allow the Contacts app. Could this increase battery usage?
It does not have an immediate visible effect on the toggle at Settings > Passwords > my-account@gmail.com (Google) > Account sync > Contacts.
I can also manually pause the Contacts app "for the rest of the day". Or I can disable it. I assume these have the same effect.
My usual habit is to use the Contacts app, because it allows me to view a subset of contacts who e.g. have phone numbers. AFAICS, the Google Phone app has decided to show all contacts across all Google Accounts, including those without phone numbers, and cannot be reconfigured.

In Xiaomi Mi 10i, the manufacturer had made the OS in such a way, from whichever app I add a Google account to, it just launches the same "account adding screen" (maybe from Play Services) and no option but to agree to Play Services to use this sign-in in all Google apps.
In earlier models, we had the option to sync selective items like only Gmail and not Contacts of an account being added to a phone, but now if I add 2nd account, by default it syncs all data (Gmail, contacts, etc. while adding itself). And there is no option to remove the synced contacts of one account.
Please help in this regard.

I use OneDrive on my Android phone for years. And pictures from my camera album were always uploaded to OneDrive.
Now, since a few weeks, this upload is not consistent. Sometimes it works, sometimes not.
It seems all is uploaded until the last day. But often pictures from the last hours are not uploaded.
Sometimes I can trigger uploading by disabling WLAN and then enabling it again. Or sometimes by restarting the phone. But sometimes I just don't see any way how to upload the pictures.
Currently I have OneDrive version 7.22.3 which seems to be the latest version.
Do you have any idea what I can do that the upload of all pictures works automatically again? Or how can I trigger manually the upload of the newest pictures?

(NB, I did not delete the files using Google Photos, but rather by connecting my phone to my PC and deleting the files. Perhaps this was a mistake.)

I do not need the media on my phones, the photos and videos I take on my business phones just have to be stored somewhere, anywhere really, except on my phones.
Is there a way to do it? I scoured the net and it seems the answer is "No", but since I am admin of my whole M365, maybe there's something I can do? I can see Power Automate option in ODfB, but never used that before, is it worth investing my time or M365 Family account is the only option to make it happen?

So I just bought a new phone last week and I'm in the process of downloading all my apps and setting it up. I was trying to log into the Slack app when this pop-up appeared with a list of all the emails that I've ever used.
Half of them were old email accounts that I haven't used in a while and they ranged from Gmail to Yahoo to Outlook and even my old college email address showed up. Where are these emails stored and how can I remove them from my device?
I've wrecked my brain and could not figure this out. Any help would be appreciated!

I have to use Hotmail, not Gmail, as I primarily use Outlook on a PC, and Gmail provides no (free) Outlook sync method for contacts and calendars. With iPhone, you just add your Hotmail account and it syncs your contacts both ways seamlessly.
Now I have a Google Nexus 6 on Android 6, I can't find any way to do this. I have tried the following:
1) Add Hotmail as an exchange account
This puts your Hotmail contacts into the Android phone app. This is HALF the job. However, if you edit a contact, it does not sync back to Hotmail. The edit is local to the phone. If you lose your phone, you lose the number.
Note: to get this to work, you have to create a manual setup, chose Exchange, then set the server to
m.hotmail.com
.
So I removed the account and went back to zero contacts in the Android phone app.
2) Install the Outlook app and add a Hotmail account
Next, I installed the Outlook app and added my Hotmail account. Your contacts are visible in the people tab of Outlook, *but you can't edit them or add new ones*.
It also adds an Android account called "Outlook", and puts your Hotmail contacts in the Android phone app. Great, no? NO. Again, if you edit a contact, it stays on the phone, the sync is one way. Even worse, if you add a new contact as a Hotmail contact, it does not sync anywhere.
Am I missing something, or is Outlook/Hotmail on Android completely broken/only half-implemented?
Surely there is someone who uses Outlook on a PC and has an Android phone, and needs to sync contacts two ways, something I have been doing without issue for the last 10 years with Windows CE phones and iPhones?
=== Update ===
Recently, MS "upgraded" Hotmail to use exchange protocols for synchronization, rather than the Hotmail connector, so I decided to dust off the Nexus and try again.
1. Start off with no contacts in the phone app, Outlook for Android installed with no accounts
2. Add hotmail.com email as an Exchange account in Outlook for Android
3. Wait
4. Now I see
- all my contacts in Outlook for Android, but they are not editable, they are read-only. If I change a contact in Outlook on my desktop, I see the change in Outlook for Android. But no way to get changes or new contacts back the other way. Unfortunately, contacts in Outlook for Android are largely useless as I don't use email on my phone and would rarely use Outlook for Android, I only installed it to try to get contacts to sync. I need the contacts in the phone's phone book.
- all my contacts appear on the Android phone app, but it's one-way sync only. If I change a contact on the phone, the change is not reflected or saved anywhere. If I add a new contact, it's not synced or saved anywhere. If I updated a contact on the PC or in the Hotmail web browser, this change is synced back to the phone, overwriting any changes I have made to an existing contact on the phone. Contacts are correctly marked as belonging to the Hotmail/Exchange account.
