The only method I've come up with so far is to hit reply all and then scroll around the cc: field, but that is clunky, particularly if there are quite a few recipients. Any better options?
I am using Android 1.5 on a T-Mobile Pulse (aka Huawei U8220).

For the most part, I haven't had too many problems with the stock Email app on my Moto Droid. I have both ActiveSync (Exchange) and POP3 accounts set up and never have trouble with ActiveSync. But for some reason, with the POP3 account, sometimes the app gets into this endless loop and won't stop downloading the exact same message and showing it as unread.
I'll open the message, delete it, and then next time the app checks for new e-mail, the message is back again as if I'd never opened it in the first place.
Usually the problem seems to go away if I either
- delete the message from the message list without opening it, or
- delete it from within the message and then immediately hit "Load more messages".
But neither of these methods work *all* the time; sometimes the message still comes back!
I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this and knows why it happens (I assume it's got to be some connectivity issue - I do know that the Email app flakes out a lot due to 3G/WiFi switching, but that's hardly a complete explanation), and if there's any fool proof way to either ensure the message is deleted "for good" or to prevent the problem from ever happening in the first place.
Unfortunately I've never been able to reliably reproduce the issue - it seems to be random or at least intermittent.
Any ideas?

I have an Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, which I've had for about a year (replacing a previous Samsung model).
I routinely have need to send text messages to email addresses which worked quite well - until a week or so ago, when the messages stopped going through (to any address). These were MMS messages.
Ordinary texting works just fine. I've tried clearing the cache, clearing the data (after backing up the messages!) and rebooting repeatedly. Over the course of my use of Samsung with Android, I've occasionally had similar problems, but they resolved after a couple of days (after clearing cache, etc.).
I'd try uninstalling and reinstalling, but that doesn't seem to be possible for a built-in app. Any suggestions? Should I delete a pile of messages (something I'm pretty lazy about doing)? Something else?

On Saturdays, I can only from Wednesday on. The Tuesday email which was already downloaded and read is no longer visible?
**Is there a way to make not delete the local copy of older emails?**
There is an earlier question which is similar - https://android.stackexchange.com/questions/28780/why-does-stock-email-app-only-keep-25-latest-emails
However I don't think the accepted answer there is relevant here. From that answer
> to prevent large transfers of data that end up using the device communication thus leading to a faster battery drain;
Why would keeping older mails cause large transfer of data? The older mails are already downloaded and are there on your phone.
> to preserve memory consumption that in turn would leave your device slow and inefficient.
Just because the older mails are there on disk, it will not increase memory consumption. A better way to program it would be display '3' days but have a way to show older ones on demand - since the app would read it from disk only on demand, it wouldn't increase memory consumption.
My phone runs Android 4.0.4.

I’m using an LG Tribute phone (Virgin Mobile service). The default email app installed is synced with my Microsoft Outlook account. I only use this account for ticket confirmations, boarding passes and the like. However, recently I noticed it is taking up the following storage:
Total: 635 MB
App: 24.5 MB
App (SD Card): 0 MB
Data: 610 MB
Data (SD Card): 0 MB
Considering my phone only has 2 GB of storage, the above is a heavy price to pay. When I hit the “Clear Data” button, I get the message “All this app’s data will be deleted permanently. This includes all files, settings, accounts, databases, etc.” I don’t want to delete my account so I was wondering if there is any other way to slim down how much data my Email application is using?

It's certainly sensible to hide old mail my by default, but how cannot I lookup an old message in INBOX or another folder? Even if the INBOX folder is huge, retrieving all headers should be an option.

I would like to send Calendar events through mails to a group of people. I can currently share links from my Calendar but that just opens up a browser windows saying 'Untitled Event'.
For example,
If my event is Quiz No. 2 on 12th Nov at 4. Then the link should re-direct to(preferably in the Calendar app rather than a browser window) a event title 'Quiz No. 2' and the time must be set to 4. The person receiving the mail just has to click add event.
Can this be done?
**EDIT:**
I am able to send the link but it opens up in the browser. Is there any way make it open up in the Calendar app?

So I just bought a new phone last week and I'm in the process of downloading all my apps and setting it up. I was trying to log into the Slack app when this pop-up appeared with a list of all the emails that I've ever used.
Half of them were old email accounts that I haven't used in a while and they ranged from Gmail to Yahoo to Outlook and even my old college email address showed up. Where are these emails stored and how can I remove them from my device?
I've wrecked my brain and could not figure this out. Any help would be appreciated!

I don't like my tablet and wrist vibrating that often with useless notifications. How can I turn these off (or, ideally, fix the problem) without turning off notifications for real email?

My spouse passed away and his phone, that I no longer have, is my verification number for my email. I contacted Google and they sent me a code via my new email... then they cancelled the code because I'm still signed into my old email. I can't sign out of it or delete it without a verification code.
Need to use Google Play apps for work (and so much else) but it's all tied to the old email. Can't change to my new email UNTIL I verify the old one.
The questions, first, is there any way around this using the phone I have? Second, if not, if I get a new phone can I start fresh with my new email on Google Play?
ANY help is greatly appreciated.
PS: my verification email is long forgotten.

When I send an email that has an image, the email gets stuck in the Gmail outbox folder (status = Queued) for a day or two before eventually being sent.
Details:
1. This issue started a couple of weeks ago. The Gmail app worked fine before then -- ever since I got the phone years ago. I'm not aware of any changes that were made to my phone/settings that might have caused this issue.
2. The issue happens no matter what the file size is -- not just for large photos. For example, a screenshot of a small area of the screen also has this issue.
3. The network type is a cell data plan, not Wi-Fi. Although switching to Wi-Fi doesn't solve the issue either.
4. I tried resetting the Gmail app by un-updating the app (can't uninstall the app), then re-updating the app. That had no effect. I also cleared the app cache and data.
5. The issue happens regardless of the email recipient.
6. I don't have this problem when sending emails that have no attachments.

I've been through several threads on Stack Exchange / XDA to find a solution that yet eludes me for the following task :
As we all know, when we create an email account with our Android device and use the default email app, in my case **Samsung Email**, the synchronized emails are stored on our phone, in my case (**rooted** Samsung Galaxy S7 edge - Android 7.0), in this location:
The idea, from what I have read, is to back up all those folders and the databases stored within them with ADB and then use SQLite tools to convert the databases into usable/readable information.
The problems I have encountered until now:
- when I use ADB backup function, the stored backup is less than 1kb size, meaning the backup didn't work, this can be the result of the wrong app name or no
/data/data/com.samsung.android.email.provider/
with folders :

Allow_Backup
Flag on that app (system app)
- I have used several tools to get the exact name of the app, in my case com.samsung.android.email.provider
or com.samsung.android.email.provider-1
but still no result
- I have tried to use the backup -all
command, and that's how I realized some apps were not backed up in the resulting file, including the email app for my device.
- I have read that in order to backup an app, it needs to have the ALLOW_BACKUP
flag, and the app (system app) does not have that flag
What do you think? what should I do from here?
(Important: the idea is to extract/backup the whole mailboxes and be able to access the contents of these mailboxes on a Windows/Mac mail client. I have no use for the 'export email to file (.eml)' available in the Samsung app, as that would require to do it for each email one by one).

I use a Samsung Galaxy S III and I use the stock Samsung email application and widget (which also comes stock on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2).
I have four Gmail accounts linked to my phone and I have all four Gmail accounts configured for use with my stock Samsung email app (this is different than the Gmail app available on the Play Store).
IMAP is enabled in my Google accounts and all settings match those recommended by Google.
However, when I send an email from my phone, the message doesn't appear in the sent folder, on my phone. Oddly enough, the message does appear in the sent folder on my PC when viewing Gmail in Chrome.
I believe that this error is related to Google's 2-step verification security settings. I remember having this problem about six months ago and that was about the last time I had 2-step security active. I don't remember how I fixed the problem, but it hasn't been an issue for a while. But since that was about the same time I tried (and then gave up on) 2-step verification, I'm guessing that this is the issue.
I recently enabled 2-step verification, then I had a problem with my email, then I turned off 2-step verification, and then the problem went away.
I am well familiar with application-specific passwords and I have set them up (properly, to the best of my knowledge). I also have Google's Authenticator app, and have used that when required.
I believe there is a bug in Samsung's email app that prevents outgoing mail from being saved in the sent folder when 2-step verification is active.
However, if anyone knows for sure what causes this, and whether or not there is a fix for it, I would greatly appreciate any help.

The phone is a Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus and the mail app is Samsung Email version 6.1.75.0. I have created folders on my Android mail app and moved email into them. These folders are not syncing correctly with my mail client I run on the PC (outlook) and are also not visible in the web-based mail portal.
If I create a folder on the phone mail app called 'A1' for instance, it does not sync or appear on any of my other IMAP mail platforms. If I then create a folder using the mail client or web portal called 'A1', it changes the name to 'A1 1' and syncs to the phone correctly. It's as if IMAP knows about the synced folder 'A1' as it won't let me duplicate it, but it is also invisible on the other platforms.
Any ideas?
