Control bluetooth volume on phone?
Seems like the volume control button on my bluetooth headset is broken, is there any way to change the bluetooth volume directly on the phone? I am on Android 4.1.2, just in case it's relevant. I found settings to change the normal front speaker volume, but nothing for the bluetooth volume.

The app or whatever it is needs to work in a way that, whatever device or media is playing using the default volume controls, without interacting with any third-party utility software or whatever, I can increase the volume above 100%.
It can be anything, an app, a script, whatever that enables that functionality. It doesn't have to be built-in, but it needs to act as if it's built-in.

*The sound video was uploaded by a person who has the same problem as me, though he has a smartphone of another model. In general, there are not few people asking the question but the solution still has not been found. I would like to place the links to the people's questions but I don't have enough reputation to put more than 2 links here.*
I checked the /system folder and **/system/media/audio/ui** folder particularly and found the sound fallbackring.ogg only in the latter. But this is not the sound produced by the volume buttons (as I have learnt it is an input call sound playing when the Bluetooth is turned on and used).
Then I have found the page http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2378177 where the screen unlock system sound is replaced. The sound is situated in **/system/framework/framework-res.apk**. So I copied the framework-res.apk file and all the .apk files from /system/priv-app (as in the folder there are .apk files whose names sound like system: SystemUI.apk, Settings.apk, IputDevices.apk and etc. on my smartphone) to my PC, converted them to ZIP and searched there for any .ogg, .mp3 and .wav files. I have found some .ogg and .mp3 system sounds but not the volume button system sound and I have also found files like open.wav, open_bluetooth.wav, success.wav and failure.wav but I managed to play them with VLC media player neither on Windows nor on Linux and, still, their names have nothing in common with the volume button.
So here is my small investigation. Could someone, please, give me a tip where the annoying beep sound can be kept? Or, maybe, is it produced with hardware of the smartphone? I will appreciate any help.

##### Rationale
Occasionally, audio from a very useful proprietary application is too quiet to be audible. This is impossible to remediate at the application level because:
1. I am unable to request that the application author(s) implement a method of increasing the volume >100% intra-application, because it has no issue tracker.
1. I do not want to record the audio and manually increase the volume >100%, because that would be inconvenient.
##### Query
Instead, hopefully it is achievable at the OS level. Consequently, how can I set any and/or all sound channels (especially the media channel) to >100% volume?
---
##### Feasibility
1. [
xdaforums.com/t/mod-volume-boost-on-all-default-sounds-by-150-200-full-dynamic-range.2708966
](https://xdaforums.com/t/mod-volume-boost-on-all-default-sounds-by-150-200-full-dynamic-range.2708966/post-51709803) mentions that something referred to as "Viper4Android" provides this functionality, explicitly system-wide. However, I've been unable to ascertain confidently what it is, nor which of myriad projects sharing that name is relevant.
1. This is available in the "Audio" plasmoid of (V6.2 of) the KDE Plasma DE, so I don't consider what I request unreasonable.
It's evidently not infeasibly difficult to implement for a custom AOSP distribution developer. Consequently, I expect it to be available in at least one of them, if it is infeasible otherwise.

I looked around in the system settings and the Galaxy Wear app settings but I don't see any option to adjust this.
Is there a way to decrease the overall Bluetooth audio volume so the lowest notch isn't so loud?

I'm changing phones after 6 years (from Samsung Galaxy S9+ to OnePlus Nord 4) and OneUI has been very convenient, Good Lock and odd. I find it easier to not mind the differences too much, but I have a habit of listening to music and watching videos/listening to audiobooks together, and it's kinda unbearable. I haven't been able to find any alternatives as of yet.
The features I mainly use are:
1) Individual app volume - allows me to control the volumes of each app individually.
2) Multi sound - to allow Spotify or YouTube Music to continue playing in the background no matter what I do. For example, whether I start video recording or play a video.
3) Separate app sound - only use this sometimes when I want to continue playing music on the speaker separately while all the other stuff I do doesn't affect the app playing on the speaker.

My setup:
- Nvidia Shield is connected to the TV
- I use the optical out of the TV to connect two speakers
- I use the Nvidia Shield remote to control the Shield volume out (not the TV volume or the speaker volume: just the Shield volume)
This setup has worked just fine for years, but I recently changed my TV from an old Panasonic plasma TV to a QLED from LG and it doesn't work anymore.
What happens is that I can change the volume just fine if I'm in the dashboard or if I play a file locally. But if I stream something (I tried Netflix, HBO Max, and Disney+), the volume doesn't change and I get the pop-up saying that I have to go into settings and set up the remote control. This ONLY happens when streaming, and it did not happen with my old TV.
I can change the volume just fine if I set the output to be the TV speakers instead of the optical out, but obviously that's not what I want. I have tried checking/unchecking IR, CEC, and HDMI fixed volume control in the Shield's settings but no luck. I also try to set up the remote again but also there, no luck.
I'm looking for suggestions on how to be able to make it work also during streaming. Thanks!

I don't want to hear other people's voices coming from both my laptop and my phone, I only want to hear their voices coming from my laptop. So I need to turn off the volume on my Android phone.
If I press the Volume down button, Zoom won't let me decrease the volume all the way to zero. I expected they developed the app this way to help users who don't realise that the volume on their device is set to zero. However, in my use-case, this is proving annoying, as I'm now hearing the same voices coming from my phone and from my laptop.

I am using a second phone to host Twitter Spaces from a branded account, so that I can speak in the event with my personal account. The branded account will never be used to speak, it is used to just host.
I tried to reduce the volume on the phone used for the branded account, a Samsung Galaxy A02s, to zero. Because with any bit of volume there's a terrible feedback loop between the two phones I am using for the Space. However, the phone will not completely mute the audio.
I can't mute the phone by pressing the volume down to zero. I can't turn the volume for the Twitter app to zero. I can't find any way to silence the app in settings. I am at a complete loss.
How can I completely decrease the volume on the Twitter app to zero?

When I use the volume control during a call, I can put the slider all the way down to zero but the call is still audible - either the slider only acts on the ringtone, or the slider is capped at a minimum (non-zero) volume level. How do I make the call completely silent?
(For context: I make calls using a relay service, where I type, and a remote assistant speaks and types the response back to me. This service involves making the call on my phone, so I still get the sound of the people talking - I want to silence this.)

My Redmi Y2 phone was working fine for long time but suddenly I found that "VOLUME UP" key is not working so I tried to restart the phone but it got stuck into Recovery 3.0 screen. It only gives 3 options:
- Reboot
- Wipe Data
- Connect with MIAssistant
Pressing on "Reboot" displays two option:
- Reboot to System
- Go back to Main Menu
Pressing "Reboot to System" reboots device and again goes back to "Recovery 3.0" screen, this keeps going on. I don't want to loss data so I didn't try "Wipe Data" option. Its not moving out of this screen no matter how may times I reboot it. I tried FAST BOOT by pressing (VOLUME DOWN + POWER) button, but it has no effect, it shows logo for a moment and ended up to same "Recovery 3.0" screen.

I have to constantly adjust the volume, especially to turn down ads and loud action scenes or dramatic soundtrack swells in video, but turn up to keep dialog audible, etc. I need something that does this automatically, like a dynamic compressor/limiter/normalizer. If apps are available for this, I prefer those that are free and don't require root.
I have searched the Google Play Store and found nothing with this feature system-wide. Some media players/streamers have it built-in just for their own content (probably excluding ads, usually to handle songs mastered to different levels), sometimes called something like "smart volume." There are many apps that process audio files offline and add a "replay gain " to their metadata, which some media players respect. I'm looking for the same kind of thing, but applied to all media audio output in real-time, including ads.
Windows has "loudness equalization " option built-in to their sound manager, and VLC has it as an effect in the desktop version.
Googling indicates that ViPER4Android may work, but it requires root and I can't find a definitive statement that it has this feature, and it looks like it doesn't easily install on some devices. If it does and is the only option, I would consider rooting.
A great option would be if Android could run LADSPA plugins like Linux.
Is this possible?
