I'm using Zoom on my Windows 11 laptop to run a webcast meeting. I attach both a USB camera and a USB microphone to the laptop to do the webcast. I need to occasionally cut off the mic temporarily. Currently I am using the laptop's mousepad to click the audio cut-off. This is sometimes problematic. Is there a way to do this laptop mic cut-off using an Android app on my smartphone? I am thinking that I could possibly connect the phone to the laptop via Bluetooth, and to use that connection to reach out and touch the Zoom-controlled microphone. Is this possible? Is there a currently available app for this? Or would I have to write such an app myself?

DragonTouch K10 (Android 8.1.0) microphones fine for everything except Zoom

I have a **DragonTouch K10 tablet** (Android 8.1.0) which in general works really well for my limited needs. Built-in, Bluetooth and wired headset audio are all fine with other apps, e.g. AudioLab, where I experience no problem at all with any of the microphones. (AudioLab did need me to opt explicitly to use the Bluetooth microphone the first time.) But I simply cannot get the Android Zoom app to pick up audio from any microphone at all, internal, wired, or Bluetooth. Zoom thinks I have a microphone, the microphone permissions setting is in place, but no sound is picked up. Meanwhile the speaker is 100% fine in all cases. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Zoom on the tablet, and even tried the app download on the Zoom website, all with no joy. Meanwhile my Samsung 'phone's Zoom app (Android 13) has no trouble whatever with any microphone I throw at it. Zoom supposedly supports Android 8.1.0, and I can't find any reference to this problem anywhere on the web (where most of the articles, even where Android is in theory being discussed, start by telling me to use options and/or tests that don't exist in the Zoom Android app). I have tried the Zoom test (zoom.us/test) which just tells me I have a microphone and then exits - I was rather expecting it to let me talk and then play back the result, but no. I am rather puzzled by the complete lack of audio input/microphone settings on the K10's settings pages - all the sound settings and volume controls seem to relate purely to audio output - don't know if this is relevant. I have tried various configurations of Lesser Audio Switch, which is a great tool but which didn't seem able to make Zoom behave (which didn't surprise me, I wonder if Zoom is trying to use a microphone-related API that doesn't actually exist in 8.1.0, and then just giving up). I have run out of things to try, any ideas gratefully received.

How do I turn off the sound of Zoom on Android? (not the mic)

I'm joining a Zoom call on my laptop, but I also want to join the same call on my Android device in order to share my Android device's screen and to use my Android device's camera. I don't want to hear other people's voices coming from both my laptop and my phone, I only want to hear their voices coming from my laptop. So I need to turn off the volume on my Android phone. If I press the Volume down button, Zoom won't let me decrease the volume all the way to zero. I expected they developed the app this way to help users who don't realise that the volume on their device is set to zero. However, in my use-case, this is proving annoying, as I'm now hearing the same voices coming from my phone and from my laptop. **How do I turn off sound on an Android device when on a Zoom call?**

Most Zoom apps support an "original audio" setting that disables noise filtering. This is very helpful if you want to play music or get music lessons over Zoom, because otherwise zoom filters out the music. I see this option in the Windows, Linux, and Mac clients, but for the life of me I can't find it in the android client. I'm using a Galaxy Tab S8, and I've ensured the app is up to date. In the linux client, this option is located under the More menu. Several online guides also say that it should be located under the manage settings menu. However, no such options exist for me in either location. enter image description here enter image description here enter image description here enter image description here The official Zoom support docs say it should be available. Is this option simply not supported on android? If it is then where can find it?

I have installed official Zoom app for my Motorola One / Android 10.0 to be able to join meetings directly from my mobile phone as an alternative to the regular PC connection. However, I have each call very loud and I cannot control volume in any way: - I have both *Media volume* and *Call volume* set to 0 (mute?) and still can hear Zoom call's audio (and still can hear it very loudly) - Changing any of these two params does not change Zoom's volume even a tiny bit. enter image description here What am I missing? Is this some kind of bug? **How should I control1 call volume in Zoom app for Android**? I understand (correct me, if I am wrong) that: - _Call volume_ is specific to Phone app only and to an actual over-the-phone calls / cellular networks' calls - _Media volume_ should control in-media volume of all apps so this would mandate (?) Zoom's in-app audio call's volume as well If I am correct then the good question is, why any of these two working? Of course, I have this problem in Zoom app **only**. Phone's volume buttons are working correctly. All other apps responds to _Media volume_ correctly and I can control any other aspect related to volume in my phone without any problems. Zoom only seems to be the exception here. 1Note that I am talking about controlling / decreasing volume of Zoom calls. I am aware [of this question](https://android.stackexchange.com/q/230660/20449) and mine isn't a duplicate. I don't want to _disable_ the Zoom meeting's totally (I know how to disconnect audio out of any Zoom meeting). I just want to make it a way, way lower. Because right now I have to keep my headphones on my chins, at least 5-10 cm from my ears to not get deaf.

I have an audio problem running Zoom for Android on TV Box. Details below: 1. I have successfully installed Zoom for Android on a TV Box which is then connected to a Samsung QLED TV. I also attached a Logitech camera to the TV Box. 2. I joined a Zoom meeting hosted by another account. The video function works OK. The host can see my video and I can see the host video on TV. 3. However, the audio is not working. There is no audio from the TV speaker (I already selected "call over the Internet" on the TV Box app) and there is an error message flashing on the host screen "XXXX is connected to audio but cannot hear you". I then connected a Logitech headset to the TV Box. There is no audio on the headset either, but no error message this time. 4. I have verified that both the TV box and the headset works well on Skype. Without a headset, I can hear Skype callers on TV speakers. With a headset, I can speak on the microphone and the caller on the other side can hear me, and I can hear the other caller from the headphone. 5. The TV box is X96Q using Allwinner H313 chipset. The software version is Android 10. Is there any workaround?

I am using Android's Zoom application to screen share with other people. They all see my screens are fine, but the audio from the application is mute. I can mute and unmute the hardware microphone (it picks up the ambient noises or my speech), but the sound from the Android application itself (e.g. video playing, system sounds, youtube video, etc) is non-existent. In the desktop version of Zoom, when you screen share, there is a checkbox for sharing system sounds or the screen you are sharing, but I don't see such an option with the Android version. How do I record audio of an application when sharing the screen on Zoom (Android)? I'm using Samsung ActiveTab 2 (on Samsung's Android 9 I think).
