Recently my Chromecast HD upgraded to Android TV 14, and since then, I cannot open the *Settings* > *Accounts and Profiles* page. It simply says:
> ! Not available
> Error loading page
I logged off and on, but that did not change anything.
How can I find out what's going wrong, or even better, fix it?

Given: Android TV (OS v.11) Xiaomi Q2. Regularly, it receives Bluetooth pairing requests from an unknown device named "CD Player" (maybe it is malfunctioning or someone can't find a better entertainment than trying to connect to his/her neighbor's TV).
None of the advices found in internet helped to prevent it. I have tried different tools (e.g., Bluetooth Discovery Disabler, DR-NetTools, Bluetooth Visibility Fix, Bluetooth Settings), enabling “Bluetooth HCI snoop log”.
In Bluetooth Settings choosing "Limit to devices..." is not saved. DR-NetTools complains, that "the system prevented the app from changing the state of the device's Bluetooth discoverability".
Apparently, there is no way to control Bluetooth settings on Android TV. Which is bizarre. So much concerns about protecting your Wi-Fi network and nothing about shielding your Bluetooth devices.
So I wonder, maybe I have overlooked the useful information on this topic.

Encrypt apps and their cache, etc. on Android TV Box

This is my Android TV Box: [Dune HD Homatics Box R 4K Plus](https://www.dune-hd.com/products/homatics-box-r-4k-plus) , an Android TV 11 Media Player. I use it only to playback movies from my LAN. My internet is quite bad, not good enough for high-quality streaming from the internet.
I am very much on the security side of things. The streaming box isn't allowed to access the internet, for example. Since I do stream family videos in HDR10 (which Windows often can't, unfortunately...), etc. I just want to protect this stuff.
I do the same on all my other devices, but I'm very new to Android since I don't use a smartphone to this day (still Nokia 3310). I use encryption on all my Desktops and Laptops, so I want to implement this here as well, even though I just stream stuff from network resources.
I want protection against someone with physical access to the device.
That's why I want encryption of local files on this box.
I can add here that to my knowledge, the device doesn't come with onboard encryption systems. So far, I can't find any option for password protection, so I guess there is no encryption activated at all.
I'd like to go for one of these options:
1. Full Disk Encryption
2. Encrypt the apps and whatever data they write to the device.
I heard about apps like Cryptomator or EDS. They offer container-based encryption as far as I can see.
Full Disk Encryption, I guess isn't possible since Android 9.
However, is there a way to force apps into containers or at least route their data (cache, temp, etc.) to the container files?

I have a SviCloud TV Box. The box boots up to be stuck on the loading screen. It kept going "copy/write template file".
I went to recovery and erased data/cache/reset/reboot.
Great, it passes that point and even goes through all the initial setup steps, but afterward, it's stuck with wallpaper and no GUI. I'm guessing something in the OS broke, now it's not loading the launcher or something.
It's not the first time something like this happened, the last time I had to bring my box back to my seller for repair.
So now I'm thinking, is there a way, for the future, that I can rip out the firmware from the box? Either whatever the box has as is (NAND copy?), or maybe rip out any OTA downloaded firmware.
Which then I can use the image to reflash my box (which I figured should fix most of the problem unless it's a flash memory chip going bad).
Any pointers would be appreciated.

Why do keycodes for numbers work but keycodes for letters (like 'a', 'b', etc.) do not on Android TV?

I'm working on a Remote project where I'm sending commands to an Android TV using a byte buffer **Through TLS Connection**. The command structure looks like this:
[6, 82, 4, 8, keycode, 16, 3]
**For reference**:
For volume control, sending keycode
24
(for volume up)
works fine.
I can also send keycodes
for numbers, like 8
for **1**, and those work perfectly in the input text area.
However, when I try sending keycodes for letters, like 29
for **a**, 30
for **b**, and so on which is defined here , they don't seem to work at all.
I've confirmed that the byte array is sent correctly, and the Android TV is receiving the data, but it seems like the keycodes for letters are being ignored or not processed properly.
Has anyone encountered a similar issue? Is there something specific that I might be missing when sending keycodes for letters on Android TV?
**Edit** I am using protobuf for creating this command

Why does the USB flash drive stop working when USB debugging is enabled?
I have two TCL TVs (one with Android TV and one with Google TV installed). In both cases, the USB drive becomes invisible to the TV software if I enable USB debugging. What could be the reason? Can I fix it somehow from my side? For example, by sending some `adb` command?

On Settings, I've granted "Storage" permissions to all the file managers. For example, CX Explorer showed an overlay window with information about the process to grant access to SD in a supposed next window, but no window was open to do these actions.
Has Google imposed restrictions on writing on Android TV 10?
What can I do?

I wanted to know if is possible to project (using Chromecast, or a similar technology), a Google Play book onto an Android television screen.
You could then have pinch to zoom or drag on the Android device to have everything displayed onto television.
The same goes for web pages, which could readjust to size on the television screen.
With current screen mirroring technology the screen size is just mirrored and a subset of the entire television screen is displayed, but I can't have the area enlarged and zoomed.
Also, I am not sure whether television screen resolution would be adequate, but theoretically,I think, it would.
I would like to be able to read a Google Play book on the television and control panning and zooming from my phone.
Thanks.

I tried to install it on the Android TV box (MX9 Pro 4K) but it's simply not working, just getting "Error Code: ".
I contacted the developer he said this app is designed only for the smartphone and "Error Code: " means that your Android is rooted.
I noticed SuperSU on my Android TV box, I went for a full unrooting, yet the app still shows "Error Code: ".
Is there any way I can force the app to work with the Android TV box?

I used to send a message to Kodi (using Netcat) from a Linux box that runs a phone system. When a call arrived, my Kodi boxes would display "Incoming call from Bob 1-234-567-8902".
Kodi had a native API for displaying messages. Does Android TV? If not, is there a way to display messages sent over the network, possibly an app?
P.S. I'm not asking for "the best app" - just is this possible and ideally example apps that can do so. I found that I can write my own Android program (per this post ) but hoping not to code something when not needed.

I've 2 new Android TVs (Android 11) from different brands, and during the 1st power-on, several questions were raised and the search of channels and Internet was configured.
However, I skipped to step of setting up a Google account.
At the moment, the TV is working, but I can't see any option to set up a favorite list of channels.
Unexpectedly, from Home, "Settings", "Channel", I can see only:
- Parental controls
- Open source licenses
- Version
In the past with other Android TV, I was able to set favorite channels without adding a Google account.
Is there any option to manage channels?

It's not just an icon. Since it's the default icon (the first one), it also defines the background of everything on the home screen.
How do I change it to
1. Get rid of the ads
2. Set the background to my own photos

Against my strong objections, my better half purchased an Android TV box from China - and I could not be more dubious of it. I am wanting to connect to it via ADB to sniff around the filesystem before I even give it (highly restricted) Internet access, but I am failing at the first hurdle.
The specific box I am dealing with is an iMetbox M3 running BigDroidOS 2.0.1
(I've played around with ADB and regular cellphones, flashing quite a few, but never a TV Box)
[How] can I connect an Android TV box (which exposes only USB-A USB ports) to ADB?
(I do have an old USB Y Cable, but plugging this in does not produce any information in /var/log/syslog on my system, regardless of which USB port combination I use. I've enabled USB debugging in the TV Box - and I also can't seem to find a way to enable ADB over WIFI - or at least I can't do anything that allows me to connect to tcp port 5555 on the TV box from my computer)
It also appears I can boot the box up to Recovery mode, but still can't see any ADB devices. I do wonder if this might, however be able to provide me with some kind of shell which can help me further my endeavors?
