Got a new phone recently and noticed this incredibly annoying feature. Every notification in the notifications list has a little button on the right. It is very easy to accidentally click this button, which then opens the app in a small, draggable pop up window. I hate this window. I searched through android settings, and was able to find an option to toggle this setting off. However, when I did this, the buttons on the notifications still stayed, and when I clicked them by accident, I would get *another* notification prompting me to re-enable pop-up window functionality. I searched the apps list to disable notifications for this app, but could not find it. So I spun up adb, and searched the list of installed packages for "pop", "popup", or "window" and couldn't find anything. I want to know how to remove this annoying functionality from my phone.

I have a Samsung S6 with Android 7.0. Recently I have got some popup ads showing up in full screen mode when entering an app on my phone. I tried to delete recently installed apps but the problem didn't go away. I also tried Adguard, Malwarebytes and Avast Adblock but none of them solved the problem. When I enter the app info it says it is from **Criteo**. I tried to block the ads from chrome browser and from google settings there is no way to disable those ads. Can someone please help as I was not having this issue in the past. I am open for any suggestion.

A long time ago, I opted to watch the scores for one game on my phone. It allowed itself to draw over other apps, and was cool. I want to turn this feature off, but I can't find anywhere to do so. Reportedly, it's from the Google app itself. I have denied the permissions, but every time there is a game on, I get the following popup (typed for ease of searching): > Update your device settings > > Pinned matches lets you follow sports games and scores even while you > are using other apps. Turn on permit for drawing over other apps How do I get this to stop popping up without allowing the scores to stay on? In case it matters: Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G (SM-G781W), running Android 13.

I'm not sure if it's ordinary JS, or the browser is showing it, or it's from the system. I've disabled the "Google Account sign-in prompts" described here - https://www.howtogeek.com/735152/how-to-turn-off-the-sign-in-with-google-prompt-on-websites/ , so it shouldn't be that. When a call arrived, my Kodi boxes would display "Incoming call from Bob 1-234-567-8902". Kodi had a native API for displaying messages. Does Android TV? If not, is there a way to display messages sent over the network, possibly an app? P.S. I'm not asking for "the best app" - just is this possible and ideally example apps that can do so. I found that I can write my own Android program (per this post ) but hoping not to code something when not needed.

I have turned off the YT app notification for a long time and have never seen this pop-up when opening the YT app before, I don’t know if it is YT legitimate system pop-up or not. Has anyone ever found this pop-up or know whether it is a legitimate pop-up from YT or not? Thank you.

I'm coming back to Android after many years, and trying to manage Notifications. That's supposed to be accessible by holding a finger on a notification and a menu will pop up allowing you to adjust the app's notification rights. Except something wild happens instead. The menu flashes up for 1/4 second, and then, the undesired app opens in a "half-size window" that floats over my home screen, or anywhere else I try to go. If I click away from it, it "minimizes" and becomes an icon at the top right corner of my home screen. Tapping it there brings back the half-size window. Image So clearly there's a *cool, productivity-enhancing feature* that I need to be red-pilled on. Can anyone help? - What is it? - Is it inherent to Android, or a trick done by certain apps such as Mod Pizza? - How do I get rid of an unwanted window/icon? - How do I use it as intended? Also, back on the notification screen, am I correct it's a timing thing on the finger-hold? Like "short" = go to the app, "medium" = adjustment menu, and "long" = do the above feature? Can that be adjusted?

Good Morning. Yesterday I was excited to flash CyanogenMod 12.1 in my other Android device. The process was the same and I did everything correctly. Unfortunately, after flashing Google Apps, the system wouldn't stop showing pop-ups like "google app has stopped", "google services has stopped". Nothing about Gapps works, even the keyboard. I have tried to wipe data/factory reset, using CWM and reflashing CM12.1 ONLY, but it didn't work. The pop-ups are still there. Maybe there's some Gapps fragments in the system... Please, I would appreciate any possible help. Thanks

It seems to occur when my earphones (not headset or mic, just earphones) are plugged in. But not consistently, I can't deliberately reproduce this. Upon searching around I found some suggestions this may be related to Google Now or OK Google, but both are disabled already. **How do I prevent this from ever showing up again?**

It happens after EMUI 8.0.0.185 update. I proceeded to turn the Wi-Fi scanning off, but the message won't stop appearing every 5-10 minutes. Restarted my phone and it still kept happening. I tried everything I could think of: - Disabled Wi-Fi Scanning in Location Services/Scan Settings - Disabled location - Made location use only GPS but it doesn't help. How to stop it from appearing constantly?
