I've got a Motorola Moto G34 (Snapdragon CPU, Android 14, not rooted) and have installed CUBE ACR along with CUBE ACR Helper to record my VOIP calls. It works as follows: as soon as I start a call, I click the recording button, and it begins recording. When I finish the call, it stops recording automatically. If possible, my goal is to have CUBE ACR start recording the surrounding sounds at first, and when I make a VOIP call, it should continue recording the call, regardless of whether it stops recording the surrounding sounds or keeps recording them as well. If this is possible, please let me know how to set it up.

**(Reposting this question because my previous one was misunderstood . I am specifically asking about reducing background noise picked up by the microphone, not noise cancellation for listening.)** I have a pair of Xiaomi earbuds, but their microphone picks up a lot of background noise during calls and recordings. It seems to amplify noise rather than suppress it. Is there a way—preferably an app—to apply system-wide noise suppression for the microphone on Android? My goal is to reduce the background noise that the other person hears during a call or that gets recorded in a voice memo. I know some desktop apps exist for this purpose, but I haven’t been able to find a good Android alternative. Any suggestions? ### Clarification: - I am **not** looking for Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) that blocks out noise for the listener. - I **am** looking for software-based noise suppression that improves what the microphone picks up. Any recommendations would be appreciated!

Google Assistant can't start when another app is using the microphone
I can start them manually, so the problem is not exclusive access to the microphone. I've tried like five different recording apps and I just get the same message, when I try to activate it in settings. I'm not really sure what the problem is here.

Most Zoom apps support an "original audio" setting that disables noise filtering. This is very helpful if you want to play music or get music lessons over Zoom, because otherwise zoom filters out the music. I see this option in the Windows, Linux, and Mac clients, but for the life of me I can't find it in the android client. I'm using a Galaxy Tab S8, and I've ensured the app is up to date. In the linux client, this option is located under the More menu. Several online guides also say that it should be located under the manage settings menu. However, no such options exist for me in either location. enter image description here enter image description here enter image description here enter image description here The official Zoom support docs say it should be available. Is this option simply not supported on android? If it is then where can find it?

My purpose is to route/convert the call voice audio from a Android phone to TV speaker via chromecast in screen mirror mode. Becasue chromecast can only output the media sound/audio from default audio source (like music or youtube...) to TV speaker in screen mirror mode but for call voice audio/sound, it outputs via phone speaker. Therefore, I am looking the way (by apps, Magisk module, editing system file...) to route/convert call voice audio (voice_downlink) to default audio which can be outputted from TV speaker via chromecast. P/S: I have been trying create an app which records call voice audio (MediaRecoder API) and streaming data to chromecast via nanohttp server but the latency is huge for a call (5 to 10 seconds). Please let me know if you have any idea. Thanks

I found so many apps which can record screen on my android device. Some of them can record audio and video at the same time, but only when I turned on the "Record with microphone" option. That's not realy good, becouse the game sound can be a little bit noisy that way, so I need to record the game audio without using my microphone for best quality. I would be grateful if the solution does not require a computer for audio recording. My device is:
Sony Xperia Z2
Android version 5.1.1
Not rooted and can't root it becouse if I do, I lose my warranty.

I can manage to capture the guitar signal with another app called n-Track (a kind of DAW for Android). On my Android smartphone (same Android version) it works with Loopify and the audio interface with no problems - plug and play. Can I change something about the tablet settings so that it also works with the Loopify app?

As far as I know, since Android 12 an app needs to have a Foreground Service Worker (with an active permanent notification) to run in all the time without being stopped when no activity is in foreground. The [guide to background work](https://developer.android.com/guide/background) also states that the only real alternative is to use scheduled tasks. My question is, can those tasks initiate microphone recording and most importantly, will this be visualized in the notification bar so the user would spot the recording? I know that it is possible to achieve the same level of spying with permanent location tracking permissions, but I'm pretty sure nothing of the kind exists for microphone permission. How strict is Android in this regard? Will an app stop recording as soon as no Activity is in the foreground? Can the app bypass this limitation if it has full device management permissions? My current research tells me that background recording is impossible since Android 9 and a visual indicator in the right-top corner is shown when any recording is active since Android 12. I would love to get more insight in the specifics. In this regard, I do not want to discuss the possibility of zero day exploits, but de-facto working methods that spy-ware can make use of in the Android threat model.
