I am using Linage 16 and there I have got enable navbar setting. I want to enable navbar using Tasker program. I have read some info here: https://android.stackexchange.com/questions/112283/enable-on-screen-navigation-in-cm12-lollipop-using-shell/113413 . But I still don't understand how to make it.

How can I execute a tasker task only after a certain condition has been true for a certain time? Normally a profile executes its task as soon as all conditions are met. I want to delay this activation, until the conditions have stayed true for some time. E.g. * do something after the screen has been continuously off or on for 10 minutes * do something after wifi xy has not been near for 10 minutes * do something after cell towers x,y,z have not been near for 10 minutes.

How can you check if Shizuku is running before executing the start command? I am running Shizuku on non rooted device and I noticed it randomly stops sometimes when wireless debugging becomes disabled (and this is expected AFAIK). I already have a task in Tasker that starts Shizuku, but I want it to run only when the server is not running already otherwise I could let it simply run all day but didn't want to stick to that route. Some users were suggesting using Termux:Tasker plugin and some adb commands to check for the %result but the plugin doesn't work on my device so am stuck.

I have a task on **Tasker** which uses **AutoInput**, which needs an **accessibility option** to be turned ON for it to function, but it keeps **getting turned OFF** absolutely randomly, every couple of days or so, and without any warnings. **Both apps have:** (Tasker and AutoInput) - Full phone permissions - Battery optimisation turned off - 'Remove permissions if app is unused' toggled off I have tested it on a couple of phone vendors, but only Samsung phones seem to have issues with this.

Starting in I believe Android 14, the Internet page (in Settings app > Network & Internet > Internet) has a button in the upper right corner labeled "Fix connectivity," which does some sort of soft reset of wifi and mobile data. (It's unclear whether this is equivalent to toggling Airplane Mode on and off, or whether it also clears some cached network values.) Is there a way to trigger this functionality programmatically, e.g. via Tasker, shell command, or intent?

It is a flaw in my opinion that Google Photos backup to Drive won't pick up items in folders with a .nomedia file in them. For example, WhatsApp sent images or videos. I've got a bash shell command to find and delete .nomedia files anywhere in my user-accessible part of the filesystem, of the form:

/ -name .nomedia -type f -delete

I've tried to set up a daily run job executing this command using Tasker, but I simply cannot get it to work.

I had imported a *Profile* in Tasker that sorts the files in my Download folder based on the file extension. But there's a file from Network Monitor Pro's export and Google Files app doesn't show any file extension for it. Solid Explorer on Android says it's 'text/plain' Tried putting the file on my Windows computer and it displays the file type as 'FILE' for it. So which file extension does it have so that Tasker can match it up?

I don't know why but sometimes the setting for wifi calling gets turned off. The phone is rooted but I don't think that should make a difference. I was wondering if there's a way to use Tasker to help somehow, even just having a widget to turn it on would be better than having to go to the settings each time. How can I use Tasker to turn on wifi calling, does anyone know the shell command to do it?

I would like to periodically toggle the LED for notifications on/off. Would that be possible? Using tasker or some other method. I'm using Rising OS 4.1 for Samsung S8 , it's android 14, the toggle for LED notifications is in the settings > personalize your device > notifications > notification light.

I want to use tasker to log how much time I spent at a location. I would like tasker to create a calender entry when I enter a location and have the end of the calender event be when I leave the location. Is this possible?

I'm trying to get a profile that triggers whenever my samsung calendar app detects a new event has been added to a shared calendar. The shared cal is an icloud calendar that is being synced by the 'Sync for icloud' app. I expect this app just periodically updates the CalDev calendar feed to my samsung calendar app, so the task would need to detect when this happens, compare the old calendar to the new one and then notify me of the changes. I could write this in C but I have no experience writing in tasker. Ideally it would ping a notification of the event title and description. I'm very new to tasker so am completely in the dark about how to set this up. Any help appreciated. Thanks

I'm trying to make a Tasker profile/action that automatically connects my Android device to my phone via bluetooth for internet access. I'd like it to be invoked whenever the device is unlocked. The phone is paired via bluetooth and manually connecting works, but when I try running the Bluetooth Connection > Connect action in Tasker via either the MAC address or name, it times out.

I have managed to convert a WhatsApp notification into an SMS and am able to read its content, but I am not able to show the sender, I only see my own phone number. Does anyone have any ideas?

I am absolutely 100% new to Tasker. I have bought and installed this app to automate a few things which IFTTT simply can't. Here is the situation: My bedroom is in a basement apartment and so I do not get good cell service reception at all while I'm down there, and since it doubles as my office space (on days I work from home) and my gaming area, I tend to spend a decent amount of my time in my room. This being said, I have an LG V30 ThinQ with Android 8.x Oreo and my current service provider offers a Wi-Fi Calling service. Naturally, I turned it on, and bingo... calls are now crisp and text messages sent without a hitch. Well... that's at home at least. However, at my work, the opposite is true: The Wi-Fi is bad, but the cell service reception is always super strong. Yes, my phone does have a setting to use Wi-Fi calling as a second priority to my cell service (meaning that it will use my cell service before using the Wi-Fi Calling) but instead of switching intelligently based on the strength of the cell service reception strength, it only switches to Wi-Fi Calling once I stop having cell service reception period. Which doesn't work well in the basement, since sometimes I get just enough signal to toggle it back to the bad cell service for calling. **So, I would like to create a task with Tasker that**, once connected to/disconnected from my home network, would allow either the Wi-Fi Calling to be toggled; or for the airplane mode to be toggled. That way, as long as I'm connected to my home network, my phone will be using the Wi-Fi calling capabilities, without having to toggle them on and off again manually. The problem is since I'm new to this, I don't know the first thing about programming a task in this version of Tasker. All tutorials I came across were very little help. Could somebody work me through setting up something along those lines?

I have been writing a tasker task to enable/disable a package. I know adb shell pm enable com.android.contacts will enable the package and adb shell pm disable com.android.contacts will disable it. I would like to know if there's any shell command that would tell me if a package is in enabled/disabled state. Thanks in advance! :)

I want my phone to very visibly show when I'm on call. I have my on-call schedule in my calendar. I'd like to have my wallpaper change when I'm on call. I've never used Tasker before, it sounds like it might be able to do this? If so how? Also open to other ideas.

i can't figure it out how to do this and all other tutorials are outdated and i have not some options they do (like a check box next to the time to set variable). so please don't mark this question as duplicate. with that said; i have a profile which turn WiFi on when i unlock my phone. i want that to also ping Google DNS and if it get time out turn WiFi off if not keep the wifi connected.

A follow up to this question or another related . I am currently testing something related to file syncing, and I need to start an application/activity of an application installed in the secondary userspace. I want to launch that application/activity whilst I'm in the primary space (primary user) on demand. I thought Tasker could achieve this but am not sure how. I am somehow currently stuck, anyone who knows how to achieve this? Something like: am start -n packagename/.activityname but for the secondary user.

I would like a Tasker app that allows me to take a photo, provide a text note like a caption, and then stores both the photo and caption in a note app like Keep, Evernote, or Onenote. So far, I have a Tasker task with 3 actions: Variable Set (for the photo's filename), Take Photo (which takes the photo and sets the photo's filename), and Variable Query (for the caption). The issue I run into is getting the photo and caption into a note app. Is this done with the intent or share action? Can I get both the photo and text to be stored at the same time? Thanks.

I want to receive all WhatsApp messages only between 11-12 p.m everyday.How to do this? Can tasker app help in this.Or a script which can be used. Also please note that only messages should be queued but video/audio calls should function all day.
