(It's unclear whether this is equivalent to toggling Airplane Mode on and off, or whether it also clears some cached network values.) Is there a way to trigger this functionality programmatically, e.g. via Tasker, shell command, or intent? enter image description here

Because the cell phone info sites I know of usually don't directly state whether they support n28a or n28b, but rather use n28 as a catch-all... I'm in Malaysia, and my current phone is a Redmi Note 11T Pro China Version, and according to this Malaysia 5G supported bands , my current phone's U Mobile only doesn't support n26 and n28b, and according to this U Mobile 5G Compatible Devices . I then used this Malaysia 5G Supported Bands website to check for supported phones and also found many phones that support n28b but not n26. I strongly suspect that I can't receive 5G signal because it don't support n28b band!

I am aware about the different apps for checking 5G connection status on Android, the most useful of which I see CellMapper which says a lot of useful info about the current 5G connection. The one piece I am still missing is the deployment type of the 5G on the cell tower I am connected to. What I mean by deployment type is either SA (Standalone 5G) or NSA (non-standalone). Briefly speaking, it is the way 5G connection is established on the cellular infrastructure, either it uses the legacy 4G equipment (NSA) or new 5G equipment built from scratch (SA). I wasn't able to find that info in CellMapper, nor in the ***#0011#** service menu Image Is there any way to check this info? I am asking specifically for Samsung Galaxy but appreciate any Android-wide answer. P.S. I have Samsung Galaxy A35 and I'm on Metro PCS carrier.

I'm looking forward for the solution.

Yesterday, I bought a Galaxy Note 10 5G smartphone that was previously used but it looks like a new one. I inspected the phone before buying it and everything was alright. However, after inserting the sim , there was a problem in the signal that was too low even though the 4 lines sometimes appear full. I tried almost every method of solving the issue after googling it like restarting the phone, resetting network settings, deeping into the safe mode and manually choosing a network operator. Yet, restarting my phone seemed to work for several seconds but the issue remained. Is there a fix to it ? Keep in mind that when I moved to the city centre, the signal improved significantly (but still not perfect). And note that my previous phone used to have a really consistent signal with the same sim card in all circulstances.

Curious as to why one gray tick happens when sending a WhatsApp message, as well as why calls are not being received. Is it possible that another program conflicts with WhatsApp and the ability to receive text messages or telephone calls when using any other program? Or is it strictly an issue with data? I ask because sometimes my messages and calls are not received over WhatsApp. My end will only register one grey tick, and I am told the phone never rang on their end sometimes when I call. Just wondering if any other programs like Skype or Google Meet or like programs interfere with WhatsApp and cause the messages to be held in transit, leaving one gray tick, or calls not to go through.

One interesting thing is, if device is already booted and then I inserted the SIM, it instantly gets cellular reception. For a non-roaming SIM it works instantly even after boot. Edit: The SIM provider told us it's an eSIM, though it looks like a regular SIM card. If you've any explanation on this, could you please share?

I'm getting my phone service through a medium sized company in my country, which means they have their own LTE network (called ice+). With my current plan I have practically free use of this network, but in the cases I can't find that network, my phone will automatically connect to their backup one (called ice, which I believe they access through a cooperation with a larger company), of which I have a small limit on data usage. This has been working out great for the past half year, but recently my phone has started changing the network operator from ice+ to ice randomly, even though I know it has access to ice+ (it will change to and stay on ice when I'm at home, even though the phone has been lying in the same place the whole time). Even if I manually select ice+ (which takes a few minutes to find because of searching), the phone will automatically change back to ice without me touching it at all. Because of this I need a way to lock my phone to ice+, so I won't have to deal with restricted access and high bills, which should be completely unnecessary. Does someone know how I could do that, if there's something I can change in the APN settings, or maybe some app I can download that will do it for me? Even something that will check the network and automatically change back to ice+ would be okay, if not as convenient. For reference I use an LG G6.

This goes on frequently until I reset the network by firstly selecting 3G/2G and then selecting 4G/3G/2G. Can I edit these values using ADB shell so that I can set 51200/102400 as the max UL/DL value in my Android? Can someone provide any fix to this problem?

Right now, I don't know what else to do with this phone because it simply doesn't recognize any network, it just displays a NO SyMBOL where it should display the carrier signal bars. I'm posting to see if there is any way this phone can be use or IF I should ditch it. Through a combination of Afwall/Netguard and Automate/Tasker, I'd like to use both my mobile data and WiF at the same time. For example, I'd like for some live/realtime widgets on the homescreen to use WiFi, but at the same time I'd like the browser session I'm on to be using mobile data. The current setup I have is this - if Chrome is on the foreground then turn of WiFi and use mobile data. When it's not in the foreground use mobile data. But the problem with this is that it's slow. It will take a sec or two to turn off mobile data and switch on WiFi and wait for it to connect, and vise versa. If they are both on though, it wouldn't be this slow. Any tips? It has a 2.4 G wifi and easily used to give me 40-60 Mbps 2-3 months ago. But now I don't know why the speeds never go above 15 Mbps. Initially, I thought my ISP maybe down or the server may not be giving off above 15, but I cross verified it 50 times with other devices. It doesn't go above 15 Mbps even on cellular data. The ISP is fine(100 Mbps). It doesn't go above 15 even in speed tests. How can I fix this? Thanks in advance

For several days now, the LG Q6 has made me angry when it suddenly stops detecting the SIM card. (once or twice a day) I don't want to discuss the cause and possible solution. (Restart always helps) The worst part is that the outage cannot be predicted. Therefore, I want to ask if there is any way that would alert me to this. Either in the absence of a SIM card or on the loss of connection (of course, when the airplane mode is not activated).
