Any method to enabled n28b band on MIUI phone?
Actually, I'm not sure if n28a and n28b are in the n28 band, or if they're different in the first place (even though the frequencies are both 700). I'm in Malaysia, and my current phone is a Redmi Note 11T Pro China Version, and according to this Malaysia 5G supported bands , my current phone's U Mobile only doesn't support n26 and n28b, and according to this U Mobile 5G Compatible Devices . I then used this Malaysia 5G Supported Bands website to check for supported phones and also found many phones that support n28b but not n26. I strongly suspect that I can't receive 5G signal because it don't support n28b band!

On Android, I have a nice Xposed module which shows me the current internet usage, but for the whole system, not per app:
On my desktop computer I have this expandable panel item which shows me exactly which apps are using the internet connection at any given moment. It also shows me exactly how much they're uploading and downloading per second right now, on a *per app* basis. The UI looks like this:
So I wonder if this is possible on Android as well. I'm asking for a *per app* metric of up/down usage right now, as in the above screenshot from my desktop computer.
Is there any way to get that?
To clarify even more, I'm asking for **current** speed, not past, accumulated usage.
Solutions that require root access and Xposed Framework are welcome.

For months I tried to track down a ping issue (high ping; disconnect & reconnect my router; low ping for about 20 minutes; high ping again). Turns out, thanks to this answer , it was the Google+ auto backup feature (that, for some reason, seems to kick in several minutes *after* it gets a connection).
The Google+ auto backup feature is enabled on my phone. It is configured to upload in "standard size" (not "full size"). Also, it is set to only upload if charging and if on WiFi.
During backup, the ping time (from my laptop, but the same applies from the router's admin page) goes up to over 7000 ms, see:
If I disconnect my phone from WiFi, the ping time goes down to about 50 ms.
What can I do to avoid this from happening? I tried to search for some way to set *WiFi* bandwidth limits for a specific app, but I couldn't find any.

Device: Nexus 5, Android Version 6.0.1
Every time the phone is connected to my home wi-fi after a couple of minutes the phone uses my whole bandwidth to upload something to varying Google (1e100.net) Servers. I checked the Network Monitoring app and it tell me that the bandwidth is used by Google Play Services.
The Uploading has been going on for three days nonstop and the only way to stop it temporarily is to disable and re enable the wi-fi connection.
What is causing this, and how do I stop it?

I would like to prevent Firefox from loading images, due to 3g data limit.
* I was googling for an anwser, but it seems that option is not available, and, to my surprise, I did not find any posts mentioning it *does not* exist.
* There is no option in
about:config
that looks like the one permissions.default.image
in the desktop version of Firefox.
* No extension (in particular, the [Image Block](https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/image-block/)) seems to be installable in Firefox 16.0 for Android.
Can you suggest a solution, or a browser, which supports this feature?

I am WFH and using Xiaomi note 8 pro for hotspot to my work computer and I have D-Link dongle which catch the hotspot signal. I am using Airtel sim card for that.
When I start working to my system at 10:30 IST in the morning, sometimes I do get speed about 15-20Mbps but while loading the page it doesn't seems to be that much speed. After 2-5 minutes of this "Rocking" speed, it came down to below 100Kbps and sometimes below 10Kbps as well.
If I am opening Youtube.com, I can watch the videos in full HD without buffer but at the same time i won't be able to remote connect to my PC.
Same when i open youtube, facebook, instagram like app on my mobile, it works good and speed is also good as i can see the speed at the top of my screen. Youtube is giving me speed like 600Kbps-1Mbps and other app too gave me speed of upto 500Kbps. But as soon as i opened some other app, speed bites the dust.
Suppose I opened 2 apps in the background. One is Youtube and other one is cricbuzz. I maximize youtube and browse some videos and i can see speed upto 600-800 Kbps and suddenly i minimize the youtube and maximize cricbuzz. All of sudden the speed from 600Kbps goes down to 6Kbps.
I am unable to work properly and neither i am getting any support from Sim Company. I am asking this question over here so that if i could get some help in terms of if this is the issue of network company or mobile company or my device is not upto the capacity.
If there would be any work around or hacks. Any kind of solution would be a great help.

I am testing an Android application and need to understand how does the app behave on different internet speeds.
An example of test case is:
1. set the maximum bandwidth to 20kbps and check how it works;
2. set the maximum bandwidth to 50kbps and check how it works... etc.
The problem is - I have no idea how to limit the traffic.
I am using WiFi and [Charles Proxy](http://www.charlesproxy.com/) . I use Charles to check how does the app reacts. Unfortunately, I am unable to throttle using Charles - for some reason Charles limits do not affect my app at all.
Anyway, can somebody assist me with this problem? Do you have any ideas on how to limit the bandwidth?
Thanks in advance.

Can anyone suggest a suitable way to limit internet bandwidth? I am using 3G mobile data.
I know how to limit the maximum data usage but I need to control the bandwidth so that my mobile data allotment doesn't get consumed too quickly.
What I'd like is a way to control the following situations:
1. Sometimes we don't need the whole body of an webpage, hence it is desired that we can stop loading the page further when we wish. But on a high speed connection you cannot stop loading the page before it gets fully loaded.
2. Some websites with embedded do not have an option to stop loading the video, hence sometimes leave me no option but to close the tab to limit data-consumption.

During my last holiday, an overeager podcast app used my entire quota for downloading one podcast.
Now I am looking for sulutions that will help limit bandwidth usage.
1. Primarily I would like to monitor and limit usage by apps (getting warnings, throttling and blocking apps).
2. Sometimes up/down can be treaded separately (like photo backups)
3. I probably have a lot of apps that I can't monitor individually, I think I should be notified about those using resources, and then be able to set limits.
4. Would like the possibility of several different "policies", with automatic or manual selection. (I often use a mobile hotspot, so basing it on wi-fi or mobile data is not sufficient). Can be home operator, roaming status/location, Hotspot name.
5. Sometimes the problem is hotspot clients of my device. Some granular control would be best.
6. Perhaps granular control of browses - possibility to control websites, tabs perhaps by limiting heavy downloads like flash and photos.
7. Limit bandwidth used by ads.
On my phone I have a Data usage listing under Settings|Connections, which is somewhat useful.

Is there a way to restrict or minimize bandwidth utilization while using Facebook chat, basically only transmitting the text data? 3rd-party apps would be fine as well.
PS: I already tried to download imo.im from the Google Play market - but this one is not available in Ethiopia.
