HTC Desire 516 dual sim ROOT FAILED (BRICKED?)

I've tried to root my HTC Desire 516 dual sim by following this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help/bootloader-fastboot-recovery-htc-desire-t2845467/page8
But obviously, I did something wrong. Now, when I turn on my phone and unlock the screen, suddenly there is a message saying "Unfortunately, HTC Sense has stopped", and I didn't make a backup and now don't know what to do. Can someone help me to fix it? I cannot do anything on the homescreen or even to get in the app menu, only in settings menu.
Also, when I try to wipe cache or go for the factory reset it returns a string saying "E: failed to mount/sdcard (no such file or directory)"
I tried to find a stock ROM for this phone but seems that there's none on the internet.

I recently rooted my HTC Desire Bravo because I needed read/write access to
/system/app
in order to be able to copy an APK file there.
I wrote here on stackexchange on the best solution to root the Desire and got pointed to Unrevoked. Everything worked fine and typing "su" in the adb shell gives me nice root access.
I re-mounted /system like
mount -o rw,remount -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock3 /system
That worked. However, trying to copy my APK file using adb push MyApp.apk /system/app/
didn't work and gave me a "permission denied". Alternatively I therefore pushed the app to /sdcard first and wanted to do a
cat /sdcard/MyApp.apk > /system/app/MyApp.apk
That approach has worked just perfectly on my rooted HTC Hero, on the Desire however it gives me
> "Cannot create /system/app/MyApp.apk:
> not enough memory"
Does anyone have a clue on what could be the problem here? How can I push my app to the system folder so that it installs properly?

**Can I somehow push the emails to be sent out?** I tried to open them and send again but it didn't help.
Last time this happened I deleted them and sent out slowly one after each other again and it went ok.

I have an HTC Desire with CyanogenMod 7 installed. After ignoring the low storage warning for a couple of months, it finally crashed and since then is stuck in the dreaded boot loop. I am able to enter a shell using
adb shell
, and I freed some space (~30M) in the internal memory but to no avail.
After reading about how people solved this problem, a promising way seems to be to enter “safe mode“, then find out which app might cause the boot process to fail and remove it.
I found instructions for the HTC Desire to enter safe mode (turn it on, then keep menu button pressed), but this only let me enter the CyanogenMod recovery menu. My explanation for this is that this behavior is a difference from the stock firmware which most similar question apply to.
I did read the boot loop tag wiki , I naturally want to keep my personal data and settings, and factory-resetting the phone is not a desired option.

I have enabled WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK on the router, (the default), when I try and connect my HTC Desire to it (Android 2.2), it connects once I enter the password, but never successfully obtains an IP address.
It then it disconnects within a few seconds, it will repeat this 8 times, gives up and then tries the next available network and successfully holds that connection. I do know that the device is connecting initially because I am watching the router's console for connections, and the MAC address that connects matches the my phone.
I am using my router in the default "Access Point" mode, and the default gateway is 192.168.1.254.

I have been trying to unlock my bootloader as per the instructions found here. I already have installed the drivers from Google USB driver folder that comes in Android SDK "extras" folder. However, when I try to start my device into the fastboot mode with cmd, it freezes.
I type "**adb reboot bootloader**" to the terminal, as instructed. It seems to be trying to restart my phone, yet it freezes before it can actually start up, stuck on the initial HTC screen.
Has anyone ever encountered an issue like this, or may anyone have an idea for a solution to this? I would manually enter bootloader menu and get my phone to fastboot if I could, but holding down the volume down and power buttons (as instructed
) won't help me at all. Pressing volume down and power simultaneously will simply start my device with a regular boot (and I have no means to "deselect Fast boot" - I simply don't have the option in battery settings).
I am on Windows 7 laptop and my phone is HTC Desire 516 using Android 4.3.

I was low on battery and my niece installed an app to assist (can not remember the name). However, she changed all my images onto my SD card. After that, I assumed I lost all my old images as I could not find them. :(
I removed my SD card to reset the phone and realized that one of the photos is showing under the gallery. Also, my screen saver is also an old photo now. However, I can not access the photo as it says to install the SD card. The problem is when I install the SD card, the images are not there anymore.
My niece does recall that she has changed something to say to save all the images onto the SD card, however she can not remember if it was on the phone or a part of the program. The issue is that I deleted the program when I realized I was still low on battery.
Is there somewhere on the HTC desire that I can change images from the SD card as I can not find it?

I have setup three alarms on my HTC Desire (running standard 2.1 with Sense).
1. Mo, Tu, We, Fr @ 05:45
2. Th @ 05:30
3. Sa @ 07:00
They are set as repeating alarms and the phone displays the little clock symbol in the top right corner indicating that an alarm is active.
I have been running the phone with DeskClock activated each night and this also says that there is an alarm active for 05:45 the next morning. However I have watched it (with it not working for some strange and bizarre reason I am waking up before the alarm goes off) and at the time the alarm is set for nothing happens.
Can anyone shed some light on this? My wife has a HTC Hero that is also running 2.1 and her's appears to be working correctly.
I also have ATK that is running and is set to auto-kill running applications and I have been wondering if this is the cause, however this does not kill the DeskClock app that is running so I am not sure if it is relevant.
