What can i do to fix this?
PS: I installed it directly to my Root-Server.
Virtualization is activated and already works with VirtualBox and similar programs.

How can I do this? Google only tells me how to disable them, when test broadcast for the entire USA happened in the past or gives me an app that produces fake alerts that don't use the builtin system.

My RCA Voyager Pro (Android 8.1.0) recently got a firmware update. Since the update, I have not been able to set a wallpaper without it "zooming in."
Take these screenshots for example. When I select the image I want to use as my wallpaper, it allows me to choose the orientation and zoom before clicking "✓ Set Wallpaper."
Before the update, the wallpaper would be set exactly as it looks in the preview. However, after the update, the wallpaper will become enlarged and will scroll as I swipe from right to left:
Here is a side-by-side comparison of how the wallpaper is the in preview (before the wallpaper is set), and how it is on home screen (after the wallpaper is set):
Is there a way I can disable this "auto-zooming?" I miss the way it used to be, where my wallpaper was the same on the home screen as it was in the preview, and did not "scroll" as I browsed my apps.

I have a **DragonTouch K10 tablet** (Android 8.1.0) which in general works really well for my limited needs.
Built-in, Bluetooth and wired headset audio are all fine with other apps, e.g. AudioLab, where I experience no problem at all with any of the microphones. (AudioLab did need me to opt explicitly to use the Bluetooth microphone the first time.)
But I simply cannot get the Android Zoom app to pick up audio from any microphone at all, internal, wired, or Bluetooth. Zoom thinks I have a microphone, the microphone permissions setting is in place, but no sound is picked up. Meanwhile the speaker is 100% fine in all cases.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled Zoom on the tablet, and even tried the app download on the Zoom website, all with no joy.
Meanwhile my Samsung 'phone's Zoom app (Android 13) has no trouble whatever with any microphone I throw at it.
Zoom supposedly supports Android 8.1.0, and I can't find any reference to this problem anywhere on the web (where most of the articles, even where Android is in theory being discussed, start by telling me to use options and/or tests that don't exist in the Zoom Android app).
I have tried the Zoom test (zoom.us/test) which just tells me I have a microphone and then exits - I was rather expecting it to let me talk and then play back the result, but no.
I am rather puzzled by the complete lack of audio input/microphone settings on the K10's settings pages - all the sound settings and volume controls seem to relate purely to audio output - don't know if this is relevant.
I have tried various configurations of Lesser Audio Switch, which is a great tool but which didn't seem able to make Zoom behave (which didn't surprise me, I wonder if Zoom is trying to use a microphone-related API that doesn't actually exist in 8.1.0, and then just giving up).
I have run out of things to try, any ideas gratefully received.

I am trying to do factory reset in settings on my Smartphone - Yotaphone 3+ with YetiOS based on Android 8.1, API level 27.
I enter the Settings -> System -> Reset options -> Erase all data (factory reset) -> Reset phone -> Erase everything
But no matter how many times I click this button "Erase everything" nothing happens. Button has no action.
Can this problem be fixed? Are there workarounds? Is this a bug?
This problem probably started after I flashed TWRP recovery, which works fine, instead of original recovery. Can this have an impact on the possibility of doing a factory reset in Android settings?
I attached several screenshots about this problem.
Thanks

I have a blackberry key2 with android 8.1.0. I often rent cars with android auto, so I connect my phone to different cars. It's a month that randomly my mobile phone starts to say louder "Sorry, I didn't understand". It happens at home, in the office, during the night.
I checked on Google activity and it says that it's activated by android auto. So I removed android auto app from the phone, and the problem continues.
How is it possible?
How can android auto app activate the phone, even if android auto app is not in the phone?
I don't talk to the phone, I don't touch the phone, but it happens randomly.
This is the screenshot of the activity:

**The info**
Android version: 8.1.0
Phone: BQ Aquaris X Pro.
The phone ships with almost-stock Android. I am using Nova Launcher (not sure if important)
**The situation**
I have a Bluetooth headset on my motorbike's helmet wich supports both Bluetooth connection with the smartphone, and direct connection with another headset, but not simultaneously. So if I turn on my headset while my phone's Bluetooth is on, it connects automatically to my phone, before it connects to my partner's headset.
Until now, I was just fine disabling Bluetooth on my phone when needing to pair with another headset. But I just got an smartwatch, and every time I disable Bluetooth on my phone, when I enable it again, the watch connects to my phone and starts a painfully long a-gps updating process.
**The question**
How do I tell my phone not to connect to the headset automatically?

I have quite an old mobile phone Asus Zenfone 4 Max (ZC520KL, X00HD_4) with Android 8.1.0.
When starting, it asks for the schema to unlock then it restarts indefinitely, showing some recovering options (try again or restart).
- I restarted with the **volume down** + **power** buttons to have further recovery options.
- I have tried to wipe the cache partition before restarting, without any success.
I would like to avoid wiping data as I received my new mobile phone the day of the old one's crash. I would like to recover data.
If I run graphics tests, the test is failing (I have no further details).
Last_logs
file is showing this error:
>Libc: access denied finding property ro.sf.lcd.density
W:Failed to read max brightness: permission denied
>
>Kmsg_logs:\
/soc/qcom,cam_smmu/msm_cam_smmu_cb1: could not get #iommu-cells for soc/qcom,iommu@1e0000
Is there any way to fix this issue? Is there any hidden shell that I could run on the mobile to set the missing parameter and maybe make the mobile start? I cannot install any application as I cannot start the mobile.
If not, is there any way to copy the data from the mobile to the computer? I cannot go further than the recovery menu.
I would like to avoid running a factory reset not to lose data, but if I have no choice, is there any way to recover the reset data?
I have no Google recovery, nor SD card in the mobile as it was not detecting it for a few months. It seems the debug mode is disabled as adb devices
does not show anything. I don't know how to use fastboot correctly.
**EDIT**
Unfortunately, I have wiped data by running a factory reset. I think I have lost the last 2 years photos without any possible recovery. If someone could confirm or not, as I could continue hoping or not

An important video from my wife's phone was deleted by accident today. I want to restore it. The phone is Redmi 5 plus, Android 8.1.0, MIUI Global 11.0.2.
When I go to Gallery, instead of opening the local trash folder, it forces me to log in to Xiaomi Cloud. When I try to log in to the cloud, it says that it will send SMS but instead, it was calling twice and then sending SMM once. The call interrupts the internet connection and as a result, that field to enter number disappears, and even though it says number during a call as a voice message, I have no place to input it. And the code from SMS wasn't accepted. Then it said that I was out of maximum attempts to log in.
I don't understand why would I have to log in to use the local trash folder. If I had to sync with the cloud first, and without it, I can't restore it - then I don't care about that Xiaomi Cloud.
Is there still any possible way to restore that video? Preferably a free one.
P.S. Just in case. I've been trying to install Wondershare Dr.Fone. It turned out to be such a peace of ssssoftware... First, it offers a free download, a long installation of the whole package, and no choice for a separate tool. Then it shows something it found (which seems to be already existing videos and I didn't see the one I needed) and then when I click "recover" it wants me to pay money. Yea, right.
Then I tried Recuva from my PC, marked the phone as a target folder, and connected via USB in a photo-sharing mode ("photos sharing P2P" - something like that). Didn't find a single video. The trash in the phone's system gallery redirects to the cloud login form.
Google Photos was set up previously but for some reason, it didn't upload video automatically, which I also don't understand. On my phone, it's the same: photos are uploaded automatically, but videos need explicit confirmation every time even though settings say explicitly "automatically upload photos and videos".
Any ideas?

How do you upgrade the [Sony Xperia Z3 Compact (D5803)](https://support.sonymobile.com/ca-en/xperiaz3compact/supportDocumentation/) to Android 8.1?
There are a number of web pages that attempt to answer this question, but none of them provide every step along the way. These include:
* https://forum.xda-developers.com/z3-compact/general/z3-compact-marshmallow-to-oreo-step-step-t3720857

They all skip steps or are missing key pieces of information that someone who is unfamiliar with the process would prevent from completing. A comprehensive, step-by-step guide for a complete novice would be helpful.

About the first problem: so, once out of nowhere the files on my old sd card got corrupted. I decided to pull in and out tge sd card, without safely ejecting it first, which corrupted it completely. So I got a new sd card, and every time I prepare it for usage, android asks me to move 1.47 GB of files to free up space. If I do, 1.47 GB gets magically added to the amount of occupied space on my SD card to the "apps" category, however no apps are visible themselves. I've reformatted the card several times, changed it from internal storage to portable and back, the ghost files are still there. My guess is that the apps that were previously on my sd card themselves got erased, but the system saved their weight and the directories they were in.
There's another problem, with google play. Basically it completely ignores the existence of my sd card, even though it's formatted as internal storage.
I'd greatly appreciate any solution to atleast one of the problems I've mentioned, because I'm completely lost, even after days of trying to find solutions. Also I think I should note that it's impossible for me to get a card reader for my pc in the nearest future.

We have a Samsung Galaxy tablet running Android 8.1. We use it for inventory. We have a Bluetooth scan gun that goes with it and when hooked up to a tablet it registers as a physical keyboard. It works just fine. The problem is on the website (sage inventory tracker) we use, it has text boxes. You click the text box and scan the barcode and it fills in the information. This works just fine, but the keyboard pops up every time you click the text box which is annoying to the people using it.
I can turn off the show on-screen keyboard so it doesn't come up, but there are times when you need the on-screen keyboard to type things in, so you have to go back to the settings and turn it back on to get that to work.
I was wondering if there was a way to create a shortcut to either turn show on-screen keyboard on and off without needing to go to the settings every time or a way to just manually turn on the on-screen keyboard with a button click or from the drop-down notification bar. I've tried many different things but can't find a way to get it to work.
