Even if I fill in the proxy hostname and port, the save button remains grayed out. Do I need root? Sorry if this is fairly obvious, I just found nothing online.

Since a nice Wacom tablet is a bit pricey, especially for someone like me who doesn't do much graphic editing, I was wondering if it is possible to use a tablet (i.e. my Nexus 7) as a Wacom-esque drawing tablet when connected to a Linux computer? I did a bit of searching, however most of the info I found is for using a Wacom tablet on an Android device. I've never used a Wacom device, however I have been doing some graphic editing in Gimp, and think it would be much easier than just using a mouse. And since I have a Nexus 7, it seemed like the logical place to start. I would have to use the Nexus as a USB peripheral for the computer, and I don't know if it is possible to transmit the touch screen coordinates to the PC. If anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it!

There are plenty of options for changing fonts, colors, etc. but formatting DATA (date formats, currency formats, etc.) does not appear to be supported. I have searched the web, but all the hits I get ignore the Galaxy Tab input and present how to do it on a computer. Or else, if my search doesn't emphasize "DATA formatting", I get help with changing fonts.

I have two tablets: Allwinner A10 single-core 10 inches (old one) and Allwinner A31 quad-core 9.7 inches (new one). I notice that sometimes when not using the tablet's standby mode, the battery drain is 20 to 30 percent, there's also a little heat near the battery on the back of the tablet, and it sometimes becomes slow so I have to restart anyway. (I install lots of programs, software, browsers, readers, games, movie/music players. Recently the tablets are filled with Android applications.) A couple of questions: 1. Should I keep my Android tablets power off or leave them on standby mode? Which option is better? 2. Will turning the tablet off at night when not using it increase the tablet's life? 3. Will it increase the battery life in terms of charge/discharge cycles if the tablet is left off when not used? So it increases battery longevity for years? 4. Will it also increase the life of the memory card and flash memory (as they are dependent on read/write cycles)? Something might be getting written to them by some background programs if the tablet is on standby? 5. Will it also increase the MTBF (mean time between failure) and longevity of the ARM processor and other electronic chip components, etc., of the tablets?

Our customers are complaining that they are constantly being logged out and have to log in again to update our apps. Is there any way we can have our customers update our apps without having to constantly log into the Google account? I saw there is Aurora Store, but I don't want to risk losing our Google Play Console privileges if Google finds out our customers are downloading from there. What is the best approach here?

How do you select audio input/output devices on an Android tablet (e.g. galaxy tab) so you can use a Blue Yeti USB mic as an input device but NOT as an output device? The Blue Yeti has headphone jacks, for some odd reason, so when I connect it to my tablet, it auto detects the mic and uses it to record sound. However, since it also has headphone jacks, it automatically tries to use it to output sound as well. I want to use this mic to improve audio quality during Zoom calls, but I still want it to output sound over the tablet's speakers. How do I do that? Currently, it seems to randomly select if it outputs sound over the speakers or the Yeti's headphones. Frustratingly, unlike Linux or Windows, Android doesn't seem to have any kind of audio I/O management screen, so I can't simply manually select the output device.

In my journey to turn my extremely weak and unsupported Mio Tablet 10 into a Linux machine, I've come across a hurdle when trying to boot into bootloader mode from either ADB or the recovery menu on the tablet. **When booting to Fastboot, the tablet just freezes on the OEM splash screen (Mio's Logo) and doesn't move on from there.** It can boot normally and works as expected, so I don't believe there is anything corrupted (I've also barely touched this tablet since getting it, so I don't expect anything to be broken yet). Any ideas on how I can troubleshoot it? (adb logcat doesn't pick anything up, and just says it is waiting for a device). The tablet is running Android 6. P.S if anyone has a way to root the tablet without using bootloader, it'll also be much appreciated.
