I want to test the emergency broadcast notifications (those for extreme weather and similar) to make absolutely sure that they work and everything is set up correctly.
How can I do this? Google only tells me how to disable them, when test broadcast for the entire USA happened in the past or gives me an app that produces fake alerts that don't use the builtin system.

I have recently taken my (UK) Nokia G50 to India for a vacation, and as a result, now any time I press the power button three times in quick succession, it calls the emergency services. This is apparently required by Indian law, and, per both my own experience and the grumbling of people on forums elsewhere, the feature sometimes stays enabled after you leave India.
At least on the G50, it is (absurdly) implemented independently of and in parallel to the normal *Settings* -> *Safety and Emergency* -> *Emergency SOS* feature, which is off by default and uses 5 presses instead of 3. Indeed if I turn that 5-press feature on, then select the "Try demo" option from that settings page, which promises "this is a simulation. No emergency actions will be started.", then three presses into my attempt to try the "demo" the phone *actually* calls the emergency services.
Obviously, I would very much like to turn this stupid feature off; given that I constantly need to press the power button twice in a row in the course of regular usage of the phone (either to open the camera app, or just to turn on the screen to check the time and turn it off again), and that it frequently lags for a second or two in response to such a press and makes it appear not to have registered, it ends up being *way* too easy to accidentally register one extra press and end up calling the cops (and I have been doing so around once a week).
How can I disable the feature? *Can* I even do so, on a G50?
There's a [past question](https://android.stackexchange.com/q/203972/123188) about disabling the same feature on a OnePlus phone, but the answers don't help me with my G50, because one involves OnePlus-specific settings pages that I don't have and another requires root (which I can find no non-sketchy-looking guides on how to get on a G50).

When I got my first cell phone I was told to put a "In case of an emergency call XXX" at the top of my list of phone numbers. While I haven't ever benefited directly from that, I have benefited from similar emergency preparedness advice. My old phone finally made the trip to electronics heaven (RIP dear RAZR) and I moved over to a Verizon Android phone (Samsung Stratosphere - with Gingerbread 2.3.5). I really like that I can "lock" this phone to prevent someone else from using it in malicious ways, but I would really like a method for someone to be able to determine who my emergency contacts are, and ideally contact those people, if I'm ever incapacitated.
When I saw the "Emergency Call" button I thought that might be the functionality I was looking for, but it isn't - ( https://android.stackexchange.com/questions/7731/what-is-an-emergency-call-and-can-i-set-number-for-it )
Is there any way to have two or three people and their contact info accessible without unlocking the phone?
***Clarifying edit***: Maybe I'm being picky, but I'd also like to have my emergency contacts actually able to be contacted, i.e., someone could pick up my phone - without knowing the lock code - and actually be able to *call* my emergency contacts.

Premise: I'm living and working in Switzerland where 911 isn't an emergency call number.
One of my colleagues has an internal phone nr 911 (which can't be changed easily because it's mapped directly to the last three digits of the external phone number)
Communicating with him in Teams works without any special issues in Teams on Windows.
Trying to chat with him in Teams on my mobile phone fails because Microsoft feels compelled to warn me that I can't message 911 via Teams.
I looked for an option to skip this Message but I'm only presented with the option to call 911 or send an SMS to 911 (which makes sense in about a dozen countries in the world).
A quick Google search didn't turn up anything useful for me.
Can you explain to me how to get the chat with my colleague working or point me to a resource that explains how to solve that problem?
**Update:**
It's even weirder! The user has the internal Phone number 988 and not 911. Now I'm totally confused! With other coworkers whose internal phone number starts with 9 I can chat without any issue...

This is not something I stored, but it came with the phone. It's not editable. Or deletable. It's also not part of the "Emergency Information" stored in "Settings -> About Phone".
That is blank in my case
---
So I want to disable/delete/edit the "Emergency Call" number. Is there a way to do this? I know about Call Confirm apps, but I don't want to use it because that would enable "Confirm" for every number - which I don't want. I don't pocket-dial any number except this one. And it happens 5 times a day.

I'm using a OnePlus 6 (Magisk; systemless Xposed, stock ROM at Android 8.1.0). One of the features that constantly irritates me is the accidental dialing of emergency number. The system by-default looks for triple power button tap and automatically dials Emergency number (112). I read on XDA [here](https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=74343593&postcount=5) that this is a feature specific to India and Indian SIMs, and I also bought this in India and use an Indian SIM. Other regional users, per some threads of OnePlus subreddit and OnePlus forums, do not have this problem and can customize the shortcut from Camera app or under Settings app, while I cannot.
I found [this YouTube video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m2AT5MFjI3k) but the recommended solution does not work because the Emergency Info app in my system doesn't have the activity used in the video. That app only has these two activities which only leads to editing Emergency specific user details:
.view.ViewInfoActivity
.edit.EditInfoActivity
How do I change this behavior? I'm looking to prevent emergency number dial on triple power button tap, and if possible, customization of that double power button tap to Camera launch. Furthermore, if possible, please provide a non-root based solution.

Ok, basically, what I want, is to provide Android phone to child, locked by passcode (or gesture), and allow the child to call parents (two numbers) from locked device.
My current available target device is SDK 22, Android 5.1, but I will not limit the answers to this target.
What is not correct answer:
- something along the lines of setting ICE info, this won't allow to call, just to display ICE phone numbers
- modifying the SIM card data, as this is not possible generally and not available in my case
- solutions requiring ROOTing the device, as this is not possible in my case
- solutions using CALL_PRIVILEGED, as this permission is protected and not achievable without ROOTing the device or having custom ROM
- Solutions using Samsung or other proprietary emergency dialers, as the devices I target, do not use any such measure, and look like [this](https://drfone.wondershare.com/images/article/2017/10/15076378953268.jpg)
What I've tried to do is
- Creating custom notification intent on the lockscreen, which would use ACTION_CALL intent and
android.permission.CALL_PHONE
permission
- this is not working solution, as CALL_PHONE requires unlocking the device
- Creating custom notification intent on the lockscreen, which would send out SMS to pre-defined numbers
- this works, however it might be pricey, and I consider this the last resort option
- this also does/might not resolve the emergency
cases, child might got into, because the reaction time depends on parents having the phone volume up and calling back right-away

Is there any way to tell it to allow a certain set of numbers from the emergency button, like to set a list of emergency numbers such as: 911
, Home
and Wife
? This would seem like it would be very useful, so if someone finds you smooshed on the road, they know these certain people should be called.

I have a Galaxy Nexus (running 4.2.2 if it matters but I'd presume the rules would apply to most Android OS' in general, it isn't currently rooted but I can root it if necessary) that I've recently replaced with a newer phone.
Now I'd like to give my 5 year old my Gnex as a basic "game/kids app device" that he can mess around with since he was used to playing a few kid games before on it. I still want WIFI access so airplane mode is out.
However, **I'd like to be able to completely remove the PHONE functionality** from the phone. The phone has no service, but can still make Emergency calls and I'm concerned about him possibly doing so before I can explain to 911 that it was an accidental call.
**So, is there a way to completely disable:**
- the phone dialer
- the ability to place emergency calls
- the contacts/address book
Bottom line: If you think in Apple terms, I'd like an "iPhone" to become an "IPod Touch", but for my Android.

I have a OnePlus One phone that has worked great for a long time, but for the past few months, my call quality has been inconsistent. I am on the newest stock rom - Cyanogen12.1.1-YOG7DAS2K1, build LMY48Y - Android 5.1.1. Even though my signal bar shows strong signal, the person on the other end says I keep cutting out and they can't hear what I'm saying. I can always hear the other person fine. This continues for the duration of the call. If I call back, they can then hear me okay. If not, I'll call back a 3rd time. Once connected, my voice either cuts out the whole call or it doesn't. (This doesn't change during the call).
How would I go about troubleshooting this? I'm on Straight Talk with AT&T coverage, and my signal strength is always showing very high. I get 20+ Mb/s download speeds with LTE. I'm not sure if this is a hardware, software, or cell service issue. Is it worth doing a factory reset on my phone or changing the ROM, such as going to their newer OxygenOS?
