Most times the **Samsung** S23+ BT, with LE Audio enabled, connectivity to my **Oticon** Intent hearing aids is great. However, sometimes I think another BT device interferes causing the connectivity to drop (i.e. I can hear the party on the other end but they can not hear me!). I observe the BT icon on my phone is turned OFF due to this interference. As a result, I am forced to either turn ON the BT icon or turn on the Speaker to allow our conversation to continue. But, many times the other party believes a disconnect and calls me back. Very frustrating! Is there someway I can set the phone BT priority highest while paired with my HAs to block any other outside BT interference? Or, is there a Do Not Disturb type setting I can invoke real time to block outside BT interference? Or, is there an App I can install that would address the issue in some way? Any feedback or suggestions would be appreciated.

I am trying to use a USB DAC with my Android head unit. While it works well with most apps, it doesn’t output sound when making Bluetooth calls. I did some research, and it’s said that because the mic is used during the calls, the system handles the sound differently. It mentions that there should be settings to force the Bluetooth call sound to be output through USB. However, I couldn’t find the settings and also couldn’t use apps mentioned like Lesser AudioSwitch, for they are not supported in Android 9 and later. Anyone can help shed some light on the matter? Much appreciated.

How do I fix Bluetooth audio not working for only some apps?

I have a pair of Sony Bluetooth headphones, and they work perfectly with my phone (Moto G30) for Spotify and YouTube. However, audio does not play through them for some other apps (BaconReader and Polytopia, to name two). When I have one of these apps open and I turn the volume up, the audio pop-up shows the master value turning up, but the app in question's audio slider is still stuck at the bottom. If I manually try to slide it up, it just jumps back to the bottom. This doesn't happen with my wired earphones, and I do not have another Bluetooth headset to test on. I have "forgotten" the headphones and repaired them to no avail. Restarting my phone doesn't help. Killing the apps and starting them again doesn't help. Anything else I can try?

Is there a way to enable a system-wide disable/mute switch for audio when the playback device changes (i.e. on an Android phone). Sometimes on the bus, my Bluetooth headset will disconnect from the phone, and VLC continues to play music loudly through the built-in speakers, which is embarassing for the user and annoying to other passengers. Similarly, using "Smart Audiobook Player", if the same thing happens, the family gets to listen to whatever I'm listening to during a Bluetooth disconnect until I manually unlock and stop playback 30 seconds later. Is there any reliable mechanism built into the OS to clamp down on this "feature"?

I've seen a number of apps that allow a Bluetooth headset to intercom or walkie talkie to another phone over WiFi/udp or phone to phone over Bluetooth but I'm looking to connect two "headsets" to one phone and have the mic from the one talk to the headphone of the other and vice versa. I believe this is possible, but I'm not sure if it exists or if I need to make it. More details: I bought a side by side and want to have a way to talk to my passenger. I've already got a helmet with an IMSA plug (road racing) and earplug headphones, and I'd like to keep that setup, so I bought a traccom chaser, which I believe is basically a Bluetooth headphone setup that plugs into my helmet plug. The passenger would have one as well. Generally, you'd pair one with a phone, then call another person with one, or there's a chance I could pair it with a "Sena" motorcycle-style system. I didn't want something that stayed in the vehicle because they're mostly not waterproof or extremely expensive.

I'm using a Redmi Note 9 Pro (joyeuse) flashed with Xiaomi EU custom ROM and rooted. I bought new earbuds and I noticed I can't have my Bluetooth audio codec as anything but SBC, my new buds should support AAC like most devices In Developers options, I tried switching on HD Audio and switching to AAC or any other codec, but it just switches back to SBC on its own, it's so frustrating, switching to AAC in Bluetooth settings doesn't work either The same thing happened with the last Bluetooth headset I tried. It worked on my PC, and I somehow thought the headset was the problem. My new earbuds face the same issue, and I'm not sure what's causing it. I've used earbuds in the past, and my phone SHOULD have AAC support. Do you have any thoughts? ROM: MIUI 12.5.2 xiaomu.eu custom ROM, Android 11

Cardo PacTack bold (motorcycle communicator, works as Bluetooth headset) On my Pixel 5 I have 2 sound players installed: 1. YouTube Music (for music) 2. Smart AudioBook Player (for audiobooks) Whenever I am listening to music using YouTube music and press the pause and then resume button on any of my Bluetooth devices, it switches to playing audiobooks in Smart Player! This is very annoying, especially on a motorcycle where I need to stop to be able to unlock my screen to switch back to YouTube! If there is a way to set up which player is activated when a play button on Bluetooth headphones is pressed? Or at least disable some players from being ever activated by a button?

**(Reposting this question because my previous one was misunderstood . I am specifically asking about reducing background noise picked up by the microphone, not noise cancellation for listening.)** I have a pair of Xiaomi earbuds, but their microphone picks up a lot of background noise during calls and recordings. It seems to amplify noise rather than suppress it. Is there a way—preferably an app—to apply system-wide noise suppression for the microphone on Android? My goal is to reduce the background noise that the other person hears during a call or that gets recorded in a voice memo. I know some desktop apps exist for this purpose, but I haven’t been able to find a good Android alternative. Any suggestions? ### Clarification: - I am **not** looking for Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) that blocks out noise for the listener. - I **am** looking for software-based noise suppression that improves what the microphone picks up. Any recommendations would be appreciated!

I have a Jabra Move headset that has been working wonderfully for months. However, today it started having connection problems to my Motorola Moto Z: it connects and remains connected indefinitely, as long as I don't start playing any sound. If I have sound from Google Music or Facebook, the headset plays 3 seconds, disconnects, and reconnects. I have no idea how to solve this. Here's what I tried: 1. Restarting the mobile phone 2. Restarting the headset 3. Reset the headset 4. Unpairing and pairing back I am running Android 7.1.1. I have no idea how to fix this, please help.

I've been having trouble with the sound quality of with my Motorola Roadster 2. Basically this is a bluetooth In-Car speakerphone that can stream incoming media audio to my FM radio, so I can enjoy listening to my music library in my car that has no 3.5mm jack. I always thought that the sound quality was mediocre due to the FM remodulation, that is, until I connected an iPad to it and played some songs over it. The quality was absolutely better than that of my Android phone. Apple has a different bluetooth stack for their devices obviously, so I've started looking into this. I've used this Stack Exchange answer to find out what codec my Samsung Galaxy S3 was using when streaming to the device. It seems that the Roadster 2 uses the A2DP profile and supports SBC as well as MPEG-1.2 codecs, but the phone chooses the inferior SBC after checking the capabilities for some obscure reason. Some research suggests that SBC is not recommended for music streaming because quality is not ideal, so my guess was to try using the MPEG-1.2 codec instead. However, after some very thorough digging, I cannot, for the love of God, find any configuration to try and force the MPEG-1.2 codec with the Bluedroid Bluetooth Stack that is used with Android 4.2+ . The old BlueZ stack had an option in its configuration file (/system/etc/bluetooth/audio.conf) to enable a different codec, but it doesn't work anymore with the new Bluedroid stack. Is there a similar way to force a different codec than SBC? I'm using Android 5.1 (Cyanogenmod 12.1 to be exact).

Major part of my issue is wording the title and search query - I've searched here and on the web and could not find info. I found that I can change the setting of Bluetooth (audio) devices to handle calls and/or audio. Furthermore, I can select "Audio device type" to be either Headphones, Speaker or Other (as per Android's Settings app). I want to know if it is possible to have it more granular, i.e. only have the audio of an app play through audio device and have, say, notifications play through the phone's speaker. Thus music will not be interrupted or volume suppressed when playing a notification alert. I don't want to mute notification when using Bluetooth audio devices. If it is possible - is there another setting or app to do this? - Android version: 14 - One UI version: 6.1 - Phone: Galaxy A55 5G

How do I connect an app? To a bluetooth speaker twice on the same phone

What is the feature's name? How do I find apps that have it? This is especially important now that Google has killed off Google Play Music and replaced it with YouTube Music, which does not provide this Browse button on a Bluetooth connection. If I knew what this function was called, I could try to pester Google, or the third-party app developers, and ask them to add support for it.
