I have 3 pairs of Bluetooth headphones:
1. Sony WH-1000xm4
2. Jabra Elite Active 65t
3. Cardo PacTack bold (motorcycle communicator, works as Bluetooth headset)
On my Pixel 5 I have 2 sound players installed:
1. YouTube Music (for music)
2. Smart AudioBook Player (for audiobooks)
Whenever I am listening to music using YouTube music and press the pause and then resume button on any of my Bluetooth devices, it switches to playing audiobooks in Smart Player! This is very annoying, especially on a motorcycle where I need to stop to be able to unlock my screen to switch back to YouTube!
If there is a way to set up which player is activated when a play button on Bluetooth headphones is pressed? Or at least disable some players from being ever activated by a button?

Android Wear Offline use of Audible?
Is there a way to sync Audible audiobooks to Android Wear for offline use in a similar manner to how I can sync Google Play music? I would like to be able to listen to a book while out for a morning jog without toting my phone along.

How can I get an audiobook from my PC onto my phone?

What's the easy way?

I can't find my .nomedia folder or the folder it is in anymore, but the files still seem to be there

I recently followed the advice posted from https://android.stackexchange.com/questions/37565/how-do-i-keep-audiobook-separate-from-google-music/62542#62542 by @Tzunki in order to keep my audiobooks out of Google Play Music.
I made a
.Audiobooks
folder and put them all in there and then added a .nomedia
folder for good measure. It worked great, but now I'm trying to delete out an old audiobook and add a new one, and I can't find the folder or any of the audiobooks.
I've tried searching for the files and the folder names, etc., but it looks like they are all hidden somehow and I can't find any of them in order to edit them. I went back to my audiobook player to make sure they are still there and played them and they play. I checked the root folder for the files in my audiobook player and it shows /storage/emulated/0/.audiobooks
(which is not where I told it to look when I created the .Audiobooks
folder) but I looked there and there is some data file instead of the audiobooks, so I'm thinking it is just like a bookmark so it knows where in the audiobook I left off?
I've tried to just type in Computer\Galaxy S6\Phone\.Audiobooks
, but it says Windows can't find it. Also, I thought I might try to re-create it, and see if it repopulated with my files but when I try to change the name of my New Folder
to .Audiobooks
, it won't change, it just reverts back to New Folder
.
Any help you can offer would be great.

First I see this.
Hitting OK, I see this:
I can't understand how to tell it where to find my books.
I've downloaded one already, it is in downloads. I can select it (outside of the Listen app) but I can't figure out how to create a folder in which to put it.
I think I'm missing some basic file navigation ideas. I've used Android for over a year, but have not needed to move files to specific locations.
**Edit:** I've installed a File Manager, and added a directory, but no change.

`.nomedia` hides it from the player, but I still want to be able to play it. Just not with the rest of my music.

I'm considering moving from iPhone to Android in the next couple of months. I'm perfectly happy with the iPhone with one exception - the integration or lack of it between Sonos and Audible apps.
So my question is - with the Android versions of these two apps can I play an audible file through the Sonos app on to my home Sonos kit? I've checked the online docs but they are a little vague and contradictory on the subject.
Any help would be very much appreciated!

So the actual problem that I'm trying to solve is to read books via TTS on my phone *and also* read the same book as text at the same place.
Every ebook reader I've tried that does this sucks in various ways; I'll name them just to save y'all the trouble of suggesting them unless they've improved dramatically in the last few months: Moon Reader + Pro, Voice Dream (AKA "Reader" (*really*?)), FBReader TTS, @Voice.
The other thing is that running TTS seems to take some noticeable battery/CPU.
So I thought why not do the TTS in advance, save it as an audio file, read it in Pocket Cast, and have an ebook program be synchronized to the position I'm at in the audio file? I mean, there are programs that sync an ebook with an Audible file, right? Same thing, right?
The thing is, AFAICT the *only* thing that does this is Kindle/Whispersync. I can't figure out how to take advantage of this; seems like I could provide my own audio file to go with Kindle books, but do the Kindle books need to be specially marked? Does the audio file?
Maybe there are other apps or combinations of apps that can do this?
I'm highly technical, and while I've not programmed against Android I've programmed in perhaps 20 languages over my life and I'm sure I can figure it out, so writing actual code is an an option, but I have no idea where to begin; any thoughts?

I'm using a Samsung Galaxy Note 3, not to be confused with a small surf board, and I've run into a new problem this morning. I usually load some smutty audio books (ok, Star Wars audio books) to listen to during the more mundane parts of the workday, at the gym, etc. When I added the next few in my current series, I noticed that my audio book player was only playing about 5 min. of each file and then moving on to the next one.
I checked on my PC to make sure that the files weren't corrupted, and they were fine on the desktop (when VLC opened them, they played for the proper duration). Okay, I thought, I'll delete the files that got screwed up when I loaded them via WiFi and retransfer them using my cable. Same problem once I got the files on again. Next I tried to use the Samsung Music app instead of my audio book player but got the same result. Even in the system audio file player I get the same problem. What should be a 1:17:46 file keeps trying to play like it's a 00:05:14 file.
This behavior was seen pretty heavily across the 40 or 50 files I put on this morning (using the USB, over WiFi I only transferred the one book), but some of the files didn't have any problems. It also seems like entire books are treated the same way; if one plays fine, all play fine, and vice versa.

Rockbox picks up the length correctly.
What could be the problem and how can I fix it **without using a different app**?

I'm trying to find a satellite navigation app that works with an audiobook app such that I can listen to the audio book while navigating. When I get a navigation instruction I want the audio book to pause, then resume where it left off.
Google navigation just mutes every audio book player I've found (doesn't pause/resume), NDrive (preferred) just plays over the top of the audio book.
I've tried AudioBook player 2 (free) and MortPlayer (Audio Book).
Ideally I'd like to continue to use NDrive and find an audiobook player that works with it, but if that's not possible any combination of navigation / audiobook player would do.
In case it matters I'm in the UK and am using an HTC Wildfire (i.e. small screen resolution).

However, since we just recently (last Fall) bought the Novel, I'm not much inclined to turn around and buy another tablet/e-reader for her if it can be avoided.
Is there any way the Novel can download/play Barnes & Noble's audiobooks?
