I am using a second phone to host Twitter Spaces from a branded account, so that I can speak in the event with my personal account. The branded account will never be used to speak, it is used to just host. I tried to reduce the volume on the phone used for the branded account, a Samsung Galaxy A02s, to zero. Because with any bit of volume there's a terrible feedback loop between the two phones I am using for the Space. However, the phone will not completely mute the audio. I can't mute the phone by pressing the volume down to zero. I can't turn the volume for the Twitter app to zero. I can't find any way to silence the app in settings. I am at a complete loss. How can I completely decrease the volume on the Twitter app to zero?

I would like to know if there is a cookie pool where several companies can query within Android so that it can store supercookie. Or if it is site specific. The foundation of this question was an event that occurred when I was talking about citizenship on Whatsup and, out of nowhere, suggestions for advertisements on Twitter about citizenship appeared. I question how Twitter manages to capture the content of a conversation on Whatsup if they are not the same companies. Note: I use twitter via the progressive web-app and not the app.

I'm having trouble with the Twitter app on my Samsung Galaxy S4. The widget was misbehaving, so I thought I would remove it from my homescreen and put it back. What has happened instead is that the widget refuses to come back. Whenever I try to place it, it will simply say "Application not installed." I've tried the following: - Reboot my phone - Reinstall the Twitter app - Clear the app's cache and data - Remove the MicroSD card, reinstall, and attempt to use the widget - Several combinations of the above. Can someone help me figure out what is going wrong here? I realize this is probably a silly question

I have a Galaxy Tab S6 Lite, Android 11, which I generally love. I have a SD card connected to it. It's 2 years old. Storage-wise, I have tons of space, especially on the SD card. I an experiencing semi-frequent reboots. Today, in fact, it rebooted on 3 separate occasions -- a little unusual for me. I'm good at troubleshooting desktop apps, but not so much with android stuff. Is there a process to follow? Where to go to get good info? Are there any utilities to use to help troubleshoot? I haven't found much useful information under Settings. Today I was using the Twitter app before all 3 reboots, and for the third reboot, the only app I was running was Twitter, which seems like a dead giveaway. But how can I confirm this? I'm not convinced that Twitter is the only cause, but have no idea how to check. It wouldn't surprise me if the Twitter app was causing problems. It connects to and launches other apps within it (news app, etc). And there are some complaints at the Google Play store. But I really feel I don't understand how to track and resolve problems like this. Any help is appreciated. Under the Settings --> Apps --> Twitter, I see that average memory usage is 4.2 MB, and that maximum memory usage is 268MB which does not seem excessive to me. Final question. If one app is causing reboots, is deleting and installing fresh likely to help?

Note : I've tried to update my android software, but this says there is an error and it can't be installed.

When I go to add widgets to my home screen, I don't have any widget from Twitter available. Other widgets are appearing in the widget list, can be added, and work fine. Just nothing from Twitter. What could possibly be causing this? I am on Android 6, but it couldn't possibly be too old, as i have an even older device running Android 4.3 where the Twitter widget is available. I have the Twitter app installed, I am logged into it, I can open it and use it. The only thing that is missing is their widget for my home screen. I have tried removing the app and installing it again, logging back in again, restarted the device a couple times, but the widget just doesn't offer, neither for the default launcher, nor in Nova Launcher.

I am on Samsung Galaxy Tab S2, Model SM-T715Y, running Android Version 7.71.1-release.15, trying to follow the instructions from https://help.twitter.com/en/managing-your-account/managing-multiple-twitter-accounts to add a new account to my Twitter app. However I cannot find the "Add existing account" option as described. The top menu shows: "Share", "Drafts", "View Lists", "View Moments", "QR code" but nothing about accounts. There is no "down arrow" icon. The profile menu shows: "Profile", "Lists", "Bookmarks", "Moments", "Twitter Ads", "Settings and privacy", "Help Center". Clicking on "Settings and privacy" shows under my account: "Account", "Privacy and safety", "Notifications", "Content preferences" and under "General": "Display and sound", "Data usage", "Accessibility", "Proxy", "About Twitter". I don't see where else I could find that option.

I asked a question about silencing only certain sounds and decided to go with the AudioManager widget, which is working quite well. My main uses are to silence everything but alarms and the ringer when I'm sleeping and everything when I'm in class. However, if I get a notification from Facebook or Twitter (both the official apps by Facebook and Twitter, respectively) at night, they still go off, which makes me think that these apps either use the ringer volume (instead of the alert volume) or some volume that AudioManager doesn't have control over. The volume controls provided by AudioManager are Alarm Volume, Music Volume, Alerts Volume, Ringer Volume, System Volume, and Voice call Volume. Alarm volume is always 7/7, music volume is where ever it was last time I listened to music (in the car, I have it 15/15, and usually 8/15 when I'm listening with earbuds), alerts is 7/7 during the day and 0/7 at night, ringer is always 7/7, system is 7/7 during the day and 0/7 at night, and voice call volume is 3/5. So, my questions: (1) What volume do these apps actually use for notifications? (2) Is there an easy way (without having to open both apps and turn off notifications at night, then turn them back on) to silence these notifications? This includes possibly switching away from AudioManager to another free application.

I'm trying to automate Twitter usage across multiple accounts, but handle login via restoring session cookies / user data. Somehow, clearing cache/user data does nothing to log the current user out, and I've been trying to figure out all day where the persisting user data is stored. As you would expect, pm clear com.twitter.android results in everything (except .../lib) in /data/data/com.twitter.android, and corresponding /data/user/0/com.twitter.android/ being wiped. I would have thought this would effectively reset the app back the its initial install state, but reopening the app just restores those directories to as they were before clearing and the account remains logged in... however I can't find any backed up data that its restoring from anywhere! The following files are the only ones I could find with auth tokens that persist after clearing cache & data. But even clearing these does nothing. /data/system/notification_log.db /data/system_ce/0/accounts_ce.db Anyone got any ideas? Working on Android Oreo 8.0 (26). Many thanks.

I have an LG G3 phone with kitkat (4.4.2), about 2 years old. When using the twitter app, there are some emoji I can't see (those belonging to Unicode 9). My LG keyboard only supports, AFAIK, Unicode 7 emoji. I have also tried installing Gboard but the emoji set is exactly the same one. Although I have managed to survive so far without typing the newer emoji, I seriously can't forfeit seeing them on Twitter app (or any other place). Don't mind which version will be displayed (google, iOS, twitter or whatever) as long as they will be displayed (bonus points for a solution that will also include updating my emoji keyboard). I am NOT interested in upgrading my OS, rooting or installing any other version - I'm completely fine with what I've got, just want to see those new food emoticons. Any Suggestions?
